Sara walked to the place where she heard the meeting was being held. It was suicide - but she couldn't let Martha just get into trouble like that, Instead she'd take the risk for her. Crazy but worth it.
Just as she raised her hands to knock a voice stopped her.
" Really you must be the stupidest person in the whole world, I'll never really understand you humans will I." Jamie voice was laced with mockery.
" My lord... I was just.... Just-" Sara stammered , her earlier courage dissolving to foolishness.
" No need for the excuses. What are you trying to do?" Jamie asked stepping closer
" I ...was passing by?" Her answer sounded more like a question
" Passing by, hmm? That's good but I think you're heading to the wrong place. There isn't much to see in there....well except your future. You'd see it the moment you step inside."Jamie tone grew darker as he approached her slowly
" Huh? What." Sara got confused
"You—your future. I see a rope around your neck, your body swaying with the breeze. You'd make a lovely flag." Jamie smirked, and Sara lost track of her breathing.
" Oh my lord have mercy." Sara said and fell to the ground bowing down and Jamie smirked and Walked slowly to her
" What are you doing here." He asked and bend down also . Sara looked up to see the handsome man close to her she inhaled but soon got lost in him. " Didn't you hear what I said? " He asked and she blinked and blushed and looked back at the ground
" I was running an errand my Lord." Sara said
" What errand Sara?" He asked more seriously this time . Sara was shocked that he knew her name but she gathered herself quickly
" Um I am told to tell the members of the....um supreme Court members.... something." Sara said
" Something, I am a member can you tell me." Jamie asked
Sara was once again shocked that he was polite to her
" Um , I'm to tell you that prince Damian isn't in his Chambers." Sara said shakily
" Alright then you may go." Jamie said and Sara heaved a sigh of relief and got up her head bumping Jamie's. She was so relieved she forgot he was bending down too
" Oh my Lord forgive me." Sara cried
" You love doing things that requires forgiveness I take it." Jamie said and stood up Sara remained where she was
" I'm sorry." She whispered
" Go ." He simply said
Sara stood up slowly and looked at Jamie
" Are you alright?" Sara asked
" I'm fine go before they sees you here." Jamie said Sara turned to go but stopped and turned back
" My Lord please if I may ask, how do you know my name." Sara asked softly
" I might have heard it somewhere. And it got stuck inside my head " Jamie said .
Sara blinked Wondering what he meant by that she bowed and quickly left him
Jamie watched her go and sighed , he wondered who sent her to the meeting, that person was trying to get her into serious trouble
He went into the Hall and saw them all sitting, he had volunteered to go fetch the king but the king was pretty occupied.
" The king is on his way and Damian .... Damian is..... Is no where to be found well maybe he is around but no one knows yet." Jamie said taking his seat
Eric frowned at the statement
" So we wait." Eric said
" Yeah looks like it." Jamie replied
" What about the maid we sent." Lord Rusford said
" What about her." Jamie said and all eyes turned to him
" She should report to us herself she knows that ." Lord Benjamin said
" I saw her and I told her to report to me , she was about to get in, but I stopped her and she relay the message to me " Jamie said choosing his words carefully
Thankfully they just nodded
" And we can't begin unless we're complete king orders." Rusford said
" Damnit where the hell is Damian." Eric said it was unlike Damian to be out this early now he knows he was really acting strangely
" Chill he couldn't have gone far." Jamie said sarcastically
" Yes he's not a kid Eric it high time you let the birdie out of the nest ." Benjamin said
" He's been out of the net since he was born." Eric spat
The door opened and the king step in
They all rose and bowed. Philip stared at them annoyed what was it this time. He walked to the head seat and sat down, they followed
" What is it." He asked annoyed
" Why didn't you answer the call immediately." Eric said first and most of them sighed they always started the meeting was Lord Eric and king Philip bickering
" I don't answer to anyone Eric especially you." Philip said
" You know the penalty of not answering immediately, Philip." Eric said although they were allowed to call each other by their names which for them was a ridiculous rule they all took care not to call the king by his name, well all except Lord Eric
" So what, who made that rule in the first place. Are you going to make me face penalty." Philip said
" I wouldn't dream of it." Eric said and put on a fake smile. " I just don't want you to abuse your power that's all." Eric said
" That's not any of your business now is it." Philip asked and Eric kept quiet. " Is it." He asked again
" No." Eric said
" So you may begin." Philip said but they kept quiet. " What is it now?" He asked
" Damian isn't here." Benjamin said
" Damian? He's never been late not to talk of missing this meeting, he was so excited to be here , guess he isn't anymore." Philip said
" He wasn't in his room to even hear of the call." Jamie said
" Where is he?" Philip asked
" We don't know. He was excited for it , maybe he's exhausted." Jamie said
" That isn't an excuse not to attend." Philip said
" He wasn't present to say that he wouldn't attend." Jamie said
" Well to be late isn't an excuse either." Philip said and Jamie arched his brow at him
" You were late just now." Eric pointed the fact
" Okay new rule . I get to do what I want." Philip said
" That's not fair at all Philip , I thought you said we were equal in this." Eric said and Philip glared at him
" Forgive me for interrupting your strange brother language but can we get to the matter at hand." Rusford said and the two brothers looked at him
" We can't start without Eric favorite child." Philip said
They all kept quiet annoyed as hell
Just where the hell was Damian.
