Chapter 137: The Body Outline Master
"It's actually the Fourth Divine Key!"
The blue-haired girl's cherry-pink lips, slightly parted in surprise, looked exceptionally cute and heart-melting. It was a shame she couldn't take a picture in this mental space; otherwise, she could have definitely gotten a big red envelope from a certain wolf.
Although the equipment and stigmata from the system weren't limited to the fixed ones in the Honkai Impact 3rd game but were drawn from the entire Honkai world, pulling the Fourth Divine Key was still a huge surprise for Seele.
The Previous Era was destroyed by the Herrscher of Finality, but it didn't wither from the Imaginary Tree and fall into the Sea of Quanta as a bubble universe. Two projects were the deciding factors. One was the Sanctuary project, to preserve the embers of civilization. The other was the Fourth Divine Key project.
The Divine Key, floating in orbital space, patched up the ecosystem of the Earth that had been destroyed by the Finality. After the repairs were complete, it remained in the sky and was later obtained by Schicksal. Seele remembered that the satellite, either because it ran out of energy or was hit by a meteor, had run into some problems. Schicksal had invited Himeko's father, Ryusuke Murata, to repair the malfunctioning Divine Key. After his success, Schicksal used the Fourth Divine Key to restore the ecosystem of the Siberian plains, which had been ravaged by the Second Honkai Eruption.
"Looks like 'my' tenure as the Supreme Guardian is destined to be recorded in the annals of Belobog!" Seele crossed her arms over her ample chest, pouted her lips, and sighed with emotion.
Pulling this item at any other time wouldn't be of much use. At best, it would just give the Astral Express an accompanying satellite, and its origin would be hard to explain. But to pull it right here in Belobog—it had to be said, Bronya's luck was really good!
Even with the Stellaron sealed, for the extreme cold ecosystem that had already taken hold to return to its state from several hundred years ago would, under natural circumstances, take at least centuries, if not a millennium. Now, with the Fourth Divine Key that could repair ecosystems, the time could be shortened to double digits. If it were provided with sufficient energy and run at its rated power, it might even be shortened to single digits.
Resting her delicate chin on her fair hand, Seele pondered for a moment, then her thoughts continued to the next pull.
The next one was also a purple meteor.
Her eyes lit up. Seele touched it with her thoughts, full of anticipation. A hint of visible joy spread across her small face.
[Character Card: Jade Knight · Moonwarden]
The form-fitting, white and ink-blue attire had the simple elegance of ancient oriental style, as well as the exquisite grace of post-modern fashion, perfectly outlining her tall and delicate curves. On her fair, slender legs were blue-black leg rings, with fluorescent blue jade pendants linked by gold-inlaid patterns. A sky-blue hair ornament adorned her long, brown-black hair, which was as smooth as silk. With bright eyes and pearly teeth, her ethereal and otherworldly temperament was like that of a sword immortal from eastern legends. Schicksal A-Rank Valkyrie—Jade Knight · Moonwarden.
"Although it's not Big Sis Bronya, Big Pillow Li isn't bad either," Seele nodded with satisfaction. Her sparkling blue eyes immediately became active. If she remembered correctly, in this world, there was a "Little Pillow Li" on the Xianzhou. "A pity I can only use three bodies."
Thinking of this mechanism, Seele felt a little regretful. She had wanted to try driving a large-scale flesh-and-blood body herself. However, of the characters she was currently using, Midnight Absinthe/Raven was a timed trial card, with about a month left. It would be great to have a seamless transition to Big Pillow Li after the trial ended.
"Not bad, not bad," Seele smiled, her eyes crinkling. As long as she got a character card, it wasn't a bad pull. The only difference was between a good pull, a great pull, and an amazing pull.
Next pull, purple light.
"Three purples in a row!?" Seele was instantly overjoyed.
[Badge: Body Outline]
[Rank: ★★★★]
[Effect:
Miraculous Marksmanship: When a firearm-type weapon misses an enemy directly, the bullet has a 150% probability of locking onto a random enemy within a 20-meter radius of the target for tracking. This attack will deal 400% damage.
Keep Firing: Moderately increases the damage dealt by firearm-type weapons.]
"Holy crap!" With no outsiders around, there was no need to maintain her persona. Seele let out a curse, completely unbecoming of a beautiful young girl. This wasn't "outlining the body" at all! This was clearly the advanced skill of the heroes from those anti-Japanese war dramas—Gun Fu!
"From this day on, I am the Body Outline Master!" Seele rubbed her small hands together excitedly. It was a pity she hadn't pulled a good firearm-type weapon. The Landau Duck's gun was actually not bad, but the Silverwing would eventually have to return it to its original owner. She'd go for some "zero-cost shopping" at Herta's place later.
The streak of good luck ended. In a slightly nervous mood, Seele's thoughts quickly clicked through the next four pulls, four gray meteors flashed by.
[Four-Star Ball]: ★, from the world of Dragon Ball. A Dragon Ball enhanced by the Guardian Dende. Collecting all seven can summon Shenron, who will grant the summoner two to three wishes, the number depending on the difficulty of the wishes.
"Uh..." Seele's expression stiffened a little. The convenience of Shenron was well-known; he could even easily revive the dead. But a single Four-Star Ball was useless! As for the rating, it was probably appropriate. A single Dragon Ball was no more valuable than a glass marble. The probability of pulling the other Dragon Balls was more outrageous than finding a needle in a haystack. One ball was one star; seven balls together would be seven stars.
[Item: Clow Card - The Windy]
[Rank: ★★★]
[Description: One of the 53 magical cards created by the powerful magician Clow Reed. Possesses magic to control the wind.]
"..." Seele looked at her empty equipment slot and fell silent.
[Ahem, ahem.] The system's embarrassed voice came through. [Although the Clow Cards do not possess the evil dark power to conquer or destroy the world, they also have their own consciousness. But don't worry, Host. Even without a magic staff or a guardian, you can still capture the Clow Card and inscribe your own name on it.]
"Alright, alright," Seele sighed softly. The Clow Cards were much easier to find than the Tarakudo Mask and Tchang Zu. Once The Windy appeared, it would definitely be accompanied by a storm, making its location obvious. The danger it posed was on a completely different level from the other two items.
[Stone Axe]: ★, from First Human Gon. The axe used by Father Gon for hunting. A plain, unremarkable stone axe from the primitive era, but the world it came from triggered Seele's childhood memories. "That's such an old anime."
[Healing Potion x5]: ★, from the world of DanMachi. Can slightly restore injuries after use.
Overall, this pull was even luckier than the last time. The character card and the badge were both good, and at least the gray meteors didn't produce any high-threat evil forces.
...
While Seele was pulling in her mental space, the members of the Express crew were asking the Silverwing some questions. The Silverwing, who had long prepared a script, answered fluently. Of course, she didn't answer every question. For things she didn't want to say, she could easily use "personal secrets" or other tactics to change the subject.
Welt and Dan Heng were smart people, and the Landau Bronya, as the heir to the Supreme Guardian, had enough tact to understand the Silverwing's underlying meaning. She wouldn't press on non-essential issues. During their information exchange, Welt confirmed that the Silverwing was not the successor from his main world, but a Bronya from a parallel Earth.
"You guys chat. I'm going to tell the people in the Underworld the news. Natasha and the others in Wildfire are probably completely confused right now." The Star Rail Seele was never wary of the "parallel-world Princess Bronie" from the start. After all, this Bronya had helped them defeat Cocolia! She didn't look like a bad person at all. As for the other things, she couldn't be bothered to think about all that complicated stuff. She had to hurry and tell everyone the good news. With Cocolia defeated, the lockdown would soon end, and the people of the Underworld would soon be able to breathe freely under the blue sky! This had been the long-cherished wish of the people of the Underworld!
"Let's go." Welt looked at the two Bronyas, who were deep in conversation, and spoke to the young people beside him. Based on the currently known information, he could tentatively judge that the Silverwing was not a person with hidden malice. Although they still needed to be cautious, the content of the Silverwing and Bronya's conversation mainly involved the politics of Belobog, and there was no need for the Express crew to get involved.
"Let's go to the Underworld and deliver the good news too!" March 7th spread her arms, hopping around cheerfully, and suggested with a cheerful laugh. "We have to see things through to the end~!"
Neither Dan Heng nor Welt had any objections to this. Although he had come down to provide support, he would still let the young people take the lead in their actions in Belobog.
"I'm hungry," Stelle said, rubbing her small belly and hanging her head as if she had burned out.
"I'm a little hungry too," Caelus said, rubbing his stomach. He suspected it was empathy from Stelle. He suddenly thought of something and reached into his coat.
"Caelus! Why did you pick that up?" Stelle's exclamation drew everyone's attention.
March 7th looked over and her eyes widened slightly when she saw what was in Caelus's hand. "Is that the mask from Cocolia's face!?"
The mask was crimson, with two sharp fangs. It looked like the face of a tiger, with white whiskers on its sides and chin.
"That's right." Tossing the mask up and catching it, Caelus, under the changing gazes of the others, put the Tarakudo Mask on his face.
Snap!
A crisp snap of his fingers echoed in the passage. In the next second, from the shadow at March 7th's feet, a shadow soldier slowly emerged. "March, watch out!"
Stelle reacted the fastest, immediately pulling out her Lance of Embers and preparing to stab. The shadow soldier did a nimble backflip to dodge. March 7th had whipped her head around the moment Stelle shouted and was about to pull out her bow and arrow to attack, but then she saw the shadow ninjas all kneel on one knee in a gesture of utmost respect, like the most loyal of servants.
"...This is?" Stelle and March 7th looked at each other.
"I told you guys about the Shadowkhan before. The reason Cocolia could summon the ninja soldiers was because of this mask. And Cocolia's method of using the shadows was completely wrong."
Caelus clapped his hands. The shadow on the wall rippled like water, and several basic-type shadow ninjas emerged. The shadow soldiers that had appeared from Caelus's own shadow began to gently massage his shoulders. The ninjas that had risen in front of him were holding fresh food, still steaming, and drinks.
The scene, like a young master of a wealthy family being attended to by several caring nannies at all times, left everyone dumbfounded and speechless. At this very moment, there were over a hundred more soldiers moving through the shadows. They were all carrying out Caelus's orders, avoiding detection, and searching for a Clow Card, or a strange wind.
