Within the blink of an eye, the room was covered in fire and smoke. Making it hard to breathe and see. "Elena!" Enzo yelled, his heart racing like a war drum. The blast from the bomb had thrown them in different directions, and Enzo lost Elena.
Coughing badly, Enzo managed to stand on his feet. He tried to move forward, but a large burning log fell, covering his path. He continued coughing as he called. "Elena."
But she wasn't responding. He couldn't even catch her scent because of the smoke. Shit!
Enzo tried to move forward again, but the fire spread fast, blocking all his paths. "N-no no." He called, dropping to the ground, the smoke filling his lungs and making it difficult to breathe. The fire was now hot against his skin as he was stuck in the middle of it.
