Aiden gaped, speechless. His mouth was completely agape realizing that Rachel had killed Jacob. Trying to recover him? That was absolutely impossible.
The young man grasped Rachel's hand, leading her to leave the house immediately. This was really bad. By morning, the villagers would know that Jacob was dead.
It would not be good for the three to stay in Anveil Village. Right now, they had to leave immediately.
"W-Where are you taking me, Master?" asked Rachel.
"We're leaving," Aiden explained, looking sharply to the side, "Then you'll have to explain to me why you ate him."
Rachel fell silent, guilt-ridden over what had happened. Still, her instincts as a dragon could not be denied. It needed to eat, and its food was flesh and soul.
Aiden arrived at the small house. He hurriedly woke Aurora up and asked her to transform. Aurora, half-asleep, was naturally confused by that.
"Why all of a sudden? I'm sleepy, Aiden!"
