"How is the war against the demons going?"
Evangelin stared at him for a few moments, as if thinking about the situation with the demons. A hint of disgust toward the demons could be felt in the depths of her eyes.
But it was clear she saw them as nothing more than a few troublesome, brainless fools.
"Much better than before." And then she answered quietly.
Daniel waited for her to continue. Evangelin placed her hand on a number of reports and handed them to him so he could take a brief look.
"Before our intervention... the situation was much worse. The demons were advancing almost without resistance."
"Several border kingdoms had fallen, and dozens of cities were being destroyed every week."
Her voice was still calm, as if she were talking about something insignificant.
This situation was devastating for all the surrounding kingdoms, and everyone was afraid that they might be the next to be attacked. But the saint? She spoke as if it were a normal matter.
