Noibat versus Charizard.

Although everyone understood that Noibat couldn't possibly defeat Charizard at its current development stage, they were all curious about Jacob's reasoning for sending Noibat onto the field at this moment. Did Jacob have some special tactical plan in mind?

Facing the tiny Noibat, Nikolas's Charizard hovered in the air, eyes locked onto its opponent, ready to strike at any moment.

"Charizard, Dragon Claw!" Against the Flying and Dragon-type Noibat, Nikolas naturally chose to have Charizard use the Dragon Claw technique. As for status moves, he knew Noibat possessed Taunt, so he simply avoided using them entirely.

Hearing Nikolas's command, Charizard's claws became enveloped in dragon energy, appearing as if it wore massive claw gauntlets. It flapped its wings and dove toward Noibat like a fighter jet.

"Noibat, use Supersonic!"

Facing Charizard's swift assault, Jacob remained completely calm, communicating mentally with Noibat.

Noibat flapped its wings and released ultrasonic waves from its two large purple ears, spreading outward in circular patterns.

The supersonic waves swept across the entire arena, engulfing Charizard and filling its ears, causing Charizard to fall into confusion.

However, Nikolas showed no panic—it was merely confusion. His Charizard had undergone specialized training to resist confusion effects.

Even while confused, it could still execute moves successfully. Charizard's body only hesitated briefly before continuing its flight toward Noibat, swinging its claws to strike.

But even though Charizard could still use Dragon Claw effectively, it lost a degree of accuracy and wasn't completely immune to confusion's effects.

This gave Noibat an opportunity to evade. Noibat had received intensive evasion training, allowing it to maneuver nimbly through the air. Using its small size and flexible body, it successfully avoided Charizard's continuous claw attacks.

Noibat flapped its wings, slightly increasing the distance between itself and Charizard.

"Noibat, Tailwind!"

Jacob wasn't rushing to have Noibat launch an offensive attack. Instead, he continued having Noibat use Tailwind, flapping its wings to generate strong gusts that increased its own speed.

"Charizard, Flame Charge!"

Seeing the situation deteriorating as Charizard's attacks struggled to connect with Noibat, Nikolas had Charizard use the Fire-type move Flame Charge. Although Flame Charge wasn't particularly powerful, and Noibat resisted Fire-type moves, it had the advantage of increasing speed!

Charizard became surrounded by flames and charged toward Noibat with accumulated fire energy.

"Noibat, use Draco Meteor!"

After using Tailwind, facing Charizard's fire-energy-charged assault, Jacob commanded Noibat to counter with Draco Meteor.

The airborne Noibat relied on its enhanced agility from Tailwind to dodge flexibly, successfully avoiding Charizard's charge.

Simultaneously, violent dragon energy erupted from its body. Endless dragon energy enveloped Noibat before bursting skyward.

"Is that Draco Meteor?! Draco Meteor is an incredibly powerful Dragon-type move!" Liliana exclaimed.

"Where did Jacob acquire this TM? Draco Meteor TMs are extremely rare and valuable," Layne added.

"Jacob has made tremendous progress over these past three days. Not only has Charizard learned Scorching Sands, but Noibat has also mastered Draco Meteor. What about Sceptile?"

"Do you think it's possible that Jacob's Pokémon already knew these moves but simply hadn't revealed them yet?"

"No way, really?"

The dragon energy soared into the sky before transforming into two or three burning meteorites that pierced through the clouds and plummeted earthward.

Draco Meteor was a devastatingly powerful Dragon-type special attack. Although it carried significant drawbacks, it remained one of the most potent special moves available.

The power of Draco Meteor varied dramatically depending on which Pokémon used it.

Noibat's Draco Meteor could only summon two or three small meteorites from the sky. While the power was considerable, it paled in comparison to Rayquaza's Draco Meteor. A Rayquaza's Draco Meteor in this world possessed enough force to sink an entire island.

The meteorites falling from high altitude traced perfect arcs through the air, striking Charizard with incredible speed and pinpoint accuracy.

"BOOM!"

Nikolas's Charizard was directly pummeled to the ground by Draco Meteor and sustained severe injuries. Nikolas's expression turned extremely grim.

If this continued, he would likely lose the match and would be forced to reveal his trump card!

"Charizard, Outrage!"

The reason Nikolas's Charizard had undergone anti-confusion training was specifically to prepare for the Outrage technique.

After using Outrage, Charizard would fall into a confused state for a period. To allow Charizard to maintain combat effectiveness even while confused, Nikolas had subjected it to intensive anti-confusion training.

"ROAR!"

Upon hearing Nikolas's command, violent dragon energy surged from Charizard's body. It opened its mouth and released wild, primal roars toward the sky as dragon energy completely enveloped its form.

Charizard's eyes turned crimson with madness blazing in its gaze as it charged toward Noibat.

"Noibat, Protect!"

Faced with the devastating Outrage technique, Jacob decisively ordered Noibat to use the defensive move, raising a protective barrier to block Charizard's assault.

The berserk Charizard paid no heed to the obstacle. It swung its dragon-energy-wrapped claws and attacked the light shield frantically, as if determined to shatter the protective barrier entirely.

"Return, Noibat!" Seeing Nikolas's Charizard employ Outrage, Jacob decisively switched Pokémon, replacing Noibat with Sceptile.

The moment Sceptile appeared, Charizard seemed to find a new target for its rage, swinging its dragon-powered claws toward the Grass-type Pokémon.

"Slash!"

Before Sceptile could react, three deep gashes appeared across its body!

"ROAR!"

After landing a successful hit, Charizard showed no signs of stopping. Instead, it grew increasingly frenzied and continued launching fierce attacks against Sceptile.

"Sceptile, Rock Slide!"

"Scep!"

Fury erupted in Sceptile's eyes as well. It gathered rock energy and slammed it into the ground, lifting massive boulders and hurling them toward Charizard.

"Oh no! Charizard, get out of the way!"

Although Charizard remained somewhat rational despite its confused state, its reactions were noticeably slower. Due to that momentary hesitation, the enormous rocks struck the flying Charizard like cannonballs.

After already taking damage from Draco Meteor, Charizard—with its four-times weakness to Rock-type moves—naturally couldn't withstand another Rock Slide attack!

"CRASH!"

The rocks struck Charizard and shattered upon impact. Charizard was knocked from the air by Rock Slide, crashed to the ground, and lost its ability to battle.

Looking at his defeated Charizard, Nikolas knew his chances of victory had become extremely slim.

Leafeon defeating three opponents single-handedly? How could that possibly work?!

"Return, Charizard. Go, Leafeon!"

"Return, Sceptile. Let's go, Charizard!"
