The wind carried an unusual turbulence through the night air, creating an atmosphere of restless energy.

Jacob hadn't expected that he would find himself driving a sleek sports car with Nina through the darkness of midnight, racing along empty highways under a star-filled sky.

Though it was called giving her a ride, in reality he was accompanying Nina back to the secret realm, because Maximus had urgently requested that Nina return to the secret realm immediately tonight without delay.

Maximus was extremely worried about Jacob's growing influence on his daughter. The last time he had returned from an extended business trip spanning several months, Jacob had almost become like the man of the house in his absence. This current situation was even more outrageous in his protective father's eyes—he had been away for just a single day, and his precious daughter had already gone to Jacob's family home to celebrate the New Year festivities together.

If Nina spent the entire night outside at the Lin family residence today, given his daughter's innocent and trusting nature, Jacob might take advantage of her vulnerable emotional state.

It wasn't that Maximus considered Jacob to be a fundamentally bad person, or that he was strongly opposed to the two young people being together romantically.

The primary concern was Jacob's age, which remained a significant factor in his paternal considerations. Jacob was genuinely too young for such serious romantic involvement, and it was naturally difficult for any concerned father to feel completely at ease about such a relationship.

Maximus didn't actively oppose their developing relationship, but if Jacob was genuinely willing to marry his daughter in the future, he would definitely give his blessing and approval. Of course, if the two young people insisted on dating during this period, that arrangement wasn't entirely impossible to accept, but they absolutely couldn't spend nights together during their courtship period—this represented his absolute bottom line and non-negotiable boundary. Therefore, Maximus had firmly requested that Nina return to the secret realm immediately without question.

Sitting in the comfortable passenger seat, Jacob displayed a distinctly dejected expression across his features. He was now mostly sober from the evening's festivities and secretly regretted how foolishly impulsive he had been to answer Maximus's phone call.

He privately decided that if another similar opportunity ever presented itself, he would definitely remember to turn off Teacher Nina's phone first to avoid such interruptions.

The elegant red sports car was cruising smoothly on the well-maintained highway leading directly to the Dragon Secret Realm. Suddenly, a mysterious faint white light began flashing intermittently around the highway's perimeter, as if the entire area was being filled with a supernatural layer of dense fog that effectively blocked their clear vision.

"What's happening to us?" It was the first time either Nina or Jacob had encountered such an unknown and bewildering situation in their lives. They couldn't help feeling genuinely nervous and uncertain about the developing circumstances. Nina quickly stepped firmly on the brake pedal to slow down their speed significantly.

The strange white light phenomenon lasted for more than ten seconds before gradually dissipating into nothingness. When their normal vision finally returned to its usual clarity, the familiar road ahead had somehow transformed into a dramatic cliff facing a vast ocean, complete with the distinctive sound of powerful waves crashing against rocky formations.

"Stop the car immediately!" Jacob didn't need to voice his concern aloud—Nina had already slammed hard on the brakes with practiced reflexes. Looking at the dangerous cliff edge that was so incredibly close to their vehicle, both young people were genuinely scared and broke out in cold sweats, gasping for breath as adrenaline coursed through their systems.

"Get out of the car now," Nina instructed with authority. After calming down briefly from the initial shock, she returned to Jacob's familiar composed demeanor that he had come to respect, motioning decisively for Jacob to exit the vehicle while simultaneously releasing her trusted Pokemon from their Pokeballs.

The two companions cautiously got out of the car and began observing the completely transformed surrounding environment with careful attention. In front of them stretched a towering cliff several dozen meters high, and beyond the cliff's edge lay a vast ocean that seemed to stretch endlessly as far as the eye could see. Even the rhythmic sound of waves hitting the rocks below could be heard clearly through the night air.

"Where exactly are we?" Jacob was somewhat dumbfounded by the surreal transformation. He had been traveling on a perfectly normal highway just moments ago, but in what felt like the blink of an eye, he was now standing on what appeared to be a completely deserted island by the sea.

"We should have encountered a newly formed secret realm that overlaps with our reality," Nina frowned deeply and pondered the situation for a long moment, her expression gradually becoming increasingly serious as the implications became clear. Although she had read countless detailed descriptions of secret realms overlapping with reality in various academic books and research papers, this was the first time she had actually encountered such a phenomenon in real life. "Be extremely careful from this point forward."

"A secret realm?!" Jacob was initially shocked by this revelation but soon managed to calm down and process the information. The last time he had encountered a secret realm was in Starlight City several months ago. He hadn't expected to encounter another secret realm here after half a year of relatively normal experiences.

However, this particular secret realm was obviously fundamentally different from the previous Grass-Bug Secret Realm he had explored. The Grass-Bug Secret Realm had been located deep in a jungle environment and was dominated by concentrated Grass and Bug-type energies. This time they found themselves on an isolated island, and the energy surrounding them was extremely rich and potent—so much so that even ordinary people without special training could feel its powerful presence.

This secret realm was obviously far more advanced and potentially dangerous than the relatively simple Grass-Bug Secret Realm he had previously experienced.

At the same time, this time he had been directly teleported into the secret realm without any preparation or warning. For Jacob, this represented both a significant danger and a potentially valuable opportunity for growth.

Jacob's prized Sceptile and its corresponding Sceptilite had been discovered and obtained in the Grass-Bug Secret Realm during his last adventure. What valuable treasures and powerful Pokemon would he potentially gain this time?

"Ding! Triggering mission: [Explore the Secret Realm]"

[Explore the Secret Realm]: This secret realm is extremely dangerous and filled with numerous threats. It contains many highly qualified and exceptionally powerful Pokemon, as well as numerous rare items of significant value. Please try to capture as many highly qualified Pokemon as possible and obtain rare items while ensuring your own survival above all else.

[Mission Rewards]: Rewards will be issued based on your final harvest and accomplishments.

Jacob stared in complete bewilderment at the mission notification that suddenly appeared in his personal system interface, especially focusing on the four ominous words "extremely dangerous" mentioned prominently in the task description, which made his heart sink with genuine concern.

Although this system could occasionally be troublesome and demanding, it had never once misled him on such critical safety issues. Since the system explicitly stated that the situation was extremely dangerous, then this secret realm was definitely very perilous and potentially life-threatening.

What Jacob was most worried about was determining what exactly existed within this mysterious secret realm that would cause the advanced system to judge it as extremely dangerous, even with Nina's King-level Kommo-o and his own King-level Alakazam available for protection.

Jacob silently retrieved Alakazam's Pokeball from his belt and released it with a serious and focused expression.

As soon as Alakazam materialized on the clifftop, it made a distinctly happy and excited sound. The rich energy emanating from the surrounding environment made it extremely pleased and energized. In stark contrast, Kommo-o appeared to feel uncomfortable all over and seemed impatient and uneasy about the strange atmosphere.

Nina, who noticed this telling scene immediately, analyzed the situation with her expert knowledge: "This secret realm should be primarily Fairy-type or Psychic-type in nature, which would naturally make your Alakazam very comfortable and empowered, while simultaneously making Kommo-o quite uneasy and distressed."

"Yeah, that makes perfect sense," Jacob nodded firmly, indicating that he completely agreed with Nina's professional assessment, but he was more concerned about their immediate practical situation. "What should we do now? Wait patiently for rescue teams or continue exploring despite the risks?"

"We need to be extremely careful in our decision-making, because we're not entirely sure whether the secret realm overlap phenomenon is stable or temporary," Nina explained to Jacob with her characteristic thoroughness. "If it has stabilized completely and overlapped permanently with the real world, the Capital Pokemon Association will naturally send experienced rescue teams in to explore immediately, and we'll be safely rescued in a few hours at most."

Nina paused before continuing with obvious concern, "But I'm genuinely afraid of the second possibility."

"What's that?" Jacob felt a growing sense of unease.

"That means the secret realm hasn't completely overlapped with the real world yet. It just experienced a temporary dimensional crack, and we happened to enter the secret realm through that unstable crack by pure chance. Now the crack may have already closed behind us, and we're effectively trapped in the secret realm until further notice. If this is indeed the case, we must wait for the secret realm to stabilize completely and fully overlap with the real world before we can safely leave. This stabilization process will take at least two or three days minimum, and at most more than a month."

"That long?!" Jacob was genuinely shocked by this timeline, and thinking about his urgent mission objectives, he became extremely anxious about their predicament.

"Yes, unfortunately," Nina's eyes were also filled with obvious worry and concern. "Let's go see if there are any wild berry trees or other natural food sources in the secret realm that can sustain us for an extended period. We need to be prepared for the worst-case scenario and make comprehensive preparations in advance."

"Right, that's our best option," Jacob nodded in agreement. At this critical point, they could only take things one careful step at a time. No one could have possibly expected to encounter such an extraordinary situation. At the same time, Jacob reminded her with serious intensity, "Teacher Nina, we absolutely must be extremely careful about everything we do."

"Don't worry about me."

As the two companions were discussing their options, they suddenly felt an unmistakable chill in the air and looked around cautiously.

Countless Solrock and Lunatone began flying toward them menacingly from all directions, and pairs of strange, glowing eyes stared at them with obvious hostile intent.

"Be extremely careful—this should definitely be a Psychic-type secret realm," Nina made a quick professional judgment based on the Pokemon types. "Zweilous, use Dark Pulse immediately! Noivern, use Dark Pulse with maximum power! Kommo-o, use Clanging Scales!"

"Run now!" Looking at the densely packed swarm of Solrock and Lunatone approaching rapidly, Nina immediately grabbed Jacob's arm firmly and began running, while simultaneously having her Pokemon buy them precious time to escape.

The flying Solrock and Lunatone Pokemon were chasing the two humans relentlessly with determined persistence. When one Pokemon was successfully knocked down by Nina's team, other Pokemon would immediately take its place and continue the pursuit without hesitation.

Moreover, Jacob discovered with growing alarm that the potential and strength of the Solrock and Lunatone in this secret realm were extremely high—at least starting from the peak level of power. Combined with their overwhelming numbers, they posed a genuinely fatal threat to both trainers.

The two companions could only flee desperately for their lives, hoping to find shelter or escape routes before being overwhelmed by the pursuing Pokemon swarm.
