"Y-you... You dare hit me? How dare you hit me?!" Maura's eyes blazed with fury, her hand instinctively going to her cheek where Eleni's slap had landed. "You dare hit me, Eleni? You and your daughter will pay for this insolence!" she spat, her voice trembling with rage.
Eleni stood her ground, her eyes glaring with intense hatred. "I will not tolerate anyone laying a hand on my daughter, not even you, Maura. You have no right to storm into our home and act like this."
"I wouldn't have to come to your home and hit your daughter if you'd taught her manners and respect," Maura retorted, her voice sharp and cutting. "Because of her stupid jealousy and insecurity, she not only hit a member of one of the prominent werewolf families but also embarrassed and humiliated him in front of everyone! It was his special day and she didn't bother to think about how he felt nor how it would affect him, she just went ahead and ruined it!"
