Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: He is...

The Jonin Shinobi was utterly terrified as the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, was looking at him with absolute desire to end him forever. He was exuding an aura of bloodlust that you would think was a few squads of Jonin Shinobi with an intent to kill you. Yet, the aura came from an old man whom many, without sensing his aura, would think that someone could easily kill him with a hit to the stomach. He was wearing the usual attire of the Hokage - a red robe with a white haori, and a white cap with "Kage" written on the front.

After a few seconds of silence with no one breathing loudly, the Hokage spoke to the room that had the Jonin Shinobi and the Anbu Captain in it. "You have broken some of the rules that Konogakure's First and Second Hokage have implemented to make sure that no Shinobi can do whatever they want, even when this is a military village." Hiruzen stares at the Shinobi, saying, "You knew very well the rules I am talking about, so why? Why did you attack a citizen of Konogakure Village?" In seconds, Hiruzen then roared, "WHY did you attack a young child?"

The Jonin Shinobi, after hearing the roaring tone in the Hokage's voice, felt his soul being crushed under a heavy weight as if something massive was weighing him down. The room became small, hollow, and deafening. A buzzy noise hummed throughout the room, and yet nowhere that noise was coming from. The shinobi's vision grew dark, but not of unconsciousness; he was seeing things differently.

The only thing he could see now was not the Hokage and the Anbu Captain, but he saw a ghostly-purple figure with horns on their head, and a sacrificial knife in their hands, gleaming at him. He thought he was dreaming of the ghostly figure, for he thought it was the Shinigami, the one who guides souls to Kami or Yami. Quickly, from seeing the hauntingly gaunt guide of death, the Shinobi's sight went back to normal, and he didn't feel his soul being squished; the room was back to what it was, and the buzzing noise was gone.

The Jonin Shinobi was trying to think of what to say after the roaring voice of the Hokage. He was thinking of what way to place all the blame on the KyuubiBrat, the one who made him suffer so much, the death of his parents when they were at the edge of the village wall near the Uchiha lands, when the Kyuubi appeared out of nowhere causing destruction, and killing his girlfriend at the time after they both attacked the beast but to no avail.

The boy, who was screaming because of a sharp pain in his left arm, stopped in the middle of the walkway. He looked down to see a thin cut across his skin. The line immediately turned crimson red, and blood started slipping down from the cut, streaming lines, pooling onto the ground. It splattered like raging rain on a stormy day.

Too focused on what was happening to his body, the boy didn't notice when everyone else stopped. He couldn't hear the voices around him. He was so consumed by the pain that everything around him changed-he was alone. When he finally looked up from his wound, there was no one. Absolute silence surrounded him, suffocating him with its emptiness.

After a few seconds of silence, he looked back at the wound. He moved his right arm to his back pocket of his pants and grabbed a clean brown cloth. He wiped the blood from his arm, and after cleaning the blood, he looked at where the wound was supposed to be, but there was nothing there anymore. Like the blade has never cut into his skin. He was confused about why there was no cut, but he did not worry about it and didn't ask any questions in his mind, as he knew that even asking questions would not be answered for him. Besides the old man with the Hokage hat.

"What the... how did the wound on the boy heal so quickly? Is the Kyuubi sending its chakra into the boy to heal him, or is it trying to escape its prison inside the boy? No, wait, the seal on him is so powerful that a tailed beast would have no chance of getting out," said the still hidden Anbu, sighing in relief, watching over the boy in case there are still threats to the boy. The Anbu still kept eyes on the boy until, seeing the child going in the direction of his occupancy. Silently following until seeing the child enter his run-down apartment.

The child sauntered into his apartment, looking around and observing the layout of his place: cream walls and tan flooring with a gray ceiling. One side of the corners of his place has mold lining the edges of the building, leaks on the ceiling near the window on the side. Most of the flooring creaks and groans when the child is walking through the section near the door, and gets to the kitchen and dining area, deciding if he should have some ramen cups for dinner, or just get ready for bed. He decided the latter, getting his pajamas, going into the cold shower because the hot water is never given to him, brushing his teeth, and lying down in his worn, thin bed to sleep.

More Anbu agents and all the civilians and Chunin Shinobis who were attacking the child showed up in a big puff of white smoke in front of the Third Hokage, and they all sensed that something had happened before they came to the room with the Third Hokage, the Anbu Captain, and the Jonin Shinobi. The dense silence was broken by the second squad's leader for the Anbu group, stating, "Lord Hokage-sama, these are the civilians and Chunin Shinobis that have attacked the child, sir."

"Thank you, Neko, and also thank you, Inu, for bringing all the aggressors of an unthinkable act here to me," the Hokage said. The Anbu Captain, Inu, and the second squad leader, Neko, saluted the Hokage. Hiruzen then looks towards the Jonin and the Chunin Shinobi who were brought to the office. "You all have broken a law that the previous Hokages made, not to harm a civilian of the Konogakure no Sato, but you, shinobi, broke this law." Slowly releasing Killing Intent into the room during the conversation. Making everyone in the room struggle to breathe, even Inu was breathing heavily. While the civilians look like they will die soon.

One of the civilians grew brave and lashed out, saying, "The only thing we DID was attack the Kyuubi brat, he is not a civilian of this village, he is the KYUUBI!"

Blood and matter are all that is left of the civilian that talked, from a disruptive burst of wind that came from The Professor, allowing the Anbu to then use water techniques to clean up the messes and fire technique to burn up any remaining organs. Hiruzen obliterated the brave civilian who talked badly about the boy, stating, "I made a law stating that no one is to mention that part of the boy's life, not because it is true about him, but that information is incorrect, and yet you will not let me state the truth. The boy is the container for the Kyuubi, not the beast itself. If you can't understand that, then you will be punished for the consequences."

The civilians, the Chunins, and the Jonin feel only terror from the sight of the most respectable, most honorable, and calm Hokage in front of them, measly destroyed someone in front of them, and the Jonin could barely see how the person who used to be a civilian was killed in front of him. All of those who were not the Hokage and Anbu were in an absolute state of fear, for they knew that they could be next if they said anything, but still, amongst the civilians, there were a brave few who started arguing about injustice for not having the right to punish or kill the Demon Brat. They, too, were killed and cleaned right away by the Hokage and Anbu, respectively.

"Okay, well, with the civilians who believe them to be above my rules on this village out of the way now. We can end the discussion and get to the actions of why all of you are here," stated Hiruzen. Hiruzen then continues, "Now it is time to tell your punishment for the charges of harming a child for both civilians and shinobis. The civilians will be sentenced to life in Konoha CorrectionalFacility to fix their attitudes and make sure they understand the differences between a child and a monster, but for the shinobis... You will be sent to life in BloodPrison."

"Wah...wait....WAIT! Lord Hokage, please. We don't want to die there. Please lessen the punishment on us, Lord Hokage. We beg you not to let us go to that place. N..no...NO! Please, please, don't at least don't place us there. We are willing to be slaves for the village, but please, we don't want to be at the Blood Prison." The Chunin Shinobi, who knew of the horrors that come from that monstrous prison that not even kages could survive in. The Chunin knew that once in that prison, your life is guaranteed forfeit, as the warden of that place sees all prisoners as only an experimental tool for use.

The last known rumor about the prison was that over a hundred criminals were killed within a month with no probable cause. The list of the said hundreds of criminals who died was so dangerous for others to see that it became S-level information; no one could see what truly happened to the many people who died in a single month. A lot of theories spread from experimentation, torture, forced working until exhaustion, or starvation. The Chunin understood that going to Blood Prison is the worst option and no one can survive it, only get lucky to be safe from going there.

The Jonin, sentenced to the same place as the Chunins, has no words for the feeling in his guts about the situation he brought on himself, 'All I wanted to do was take revenge on the fox for killing my parents, for killing my girlfriend, and some of my friends, why.....Why did it end up this way? Why am I being punished for wanting to take revenge on a monster? WHY!?' He looked up suddenly to the Hokage and let all of his unadulterated hatred aim towards the old man who just sentenced his life to eternal suffering in the most dangerous prison in the great shinobi world. Killing intent leaked from the Jonin; everyone sensed it, but it did not bother Hiruzen in the slightest. He dealt with worse killing intent than that.

The ANBU stepped in immediately, shunshin all of the civilians and shinobi to their respective cells in the ANBU holding cells for due process to their respective new places, the facility for the civilians and the prison for the shinobi. The processing clerks finished everything within a few hours, close to dark, documented everything, and filled all information to be ready for the ones who harmed the child that is under the protection of the Hokage. For they knew that the shinobi and civilians were receiving a lighter sentence than what the Hokage could have given them. The Hokage could do worse than sending them to those places.

'I have done so much for this village, and yet they keep going against me, against my rules. Do I have to show them that I am worse than the nine-tailed fox to get them to listen to my rules? Did I let my old age get to the heads of these idiot shinobi and civilians, that they thought I was nice?' The one that the boy called "Gigi" was saying in his mind. 'Just how much do I need to do to make sure that they do not hurt him anymore, the one person whom I promised those two that I would protect, when they were dying on the ground after seeing their son from the attack 5 years ago.'

Looking out of the massive window in his office directly behind his big office desk, staring out into the bleeding fall of the sun on the horizon, as the stars shine bright in the sky, and the moon can be barely seen on the edges from the top of the windows as it moves in front of the office window. 'As always, the nighttime sky from this position is extremely beautiful, though maybe at the stone heads it will be better than this.' He thought. 'I guess it is time to go and rest. I am sorry for not keeping more of an eye on you, as I should have. Everything is still in a mess for the shinobi, with how many died that day, five years ago.

The day that the son, the heir to the Namikaze and Uzumaki families, was born, the son of Minato and Kushina, who saved the entire village by existing, was sacrificed by his own parents as the container for the Nine-tailed fox. Uzumaki Namikaze Naruto.'

That was 2,247 words used to make this chapter for the audience. I hope I did well to finish this and made everyone happy. If not, please make polite comments about it in the comment section and refrain from being rude and harsh for no reason. :( It will just hurt me if you attack me without giving me an actual reason for the attack. Well, anyway, I hope this helps you out, as I promised to do 2k words next time to make it longer for everyone to read.

If you have any suggestions for my story, do make a comment about it in this paragraph comment section. Do let me know if there is any grammar errors in the chapter, as I did try my best to make everything sound perfect, but then again saying things in my head and to myself does not really make sense compare to asking someone else to do the proofreading for me, as I know what I mean for the story, but as the audience you do not know what I mean with my words. So do reach out and say that some words are wrong. I need the help.

Remember that you can reach out to me on Discord through the 'Who am I?' author notes, as I put my profile info there.

Okay, goodbye, see you in the next chapter, if I make it that is. >:P
