Chapter 4 - The Percival Household

Caesar's voice was filled with excitement. The Neverland was a success, and the effect was promising.

Praise The Almighty, Caesar murmured.

He dashed towards his mirror to check his appearance, and he was very pleased with himself. Ceaser walked casually to the door of his chamber, brought his chest forward, and opened it.

Ah, Master Caesar, you look dashing as always. An old woman in a maid's attire complimented.

Good morning, Aunt Casandra. Caesar said, You look amazing yourself.

Oh, you say quite the sweetest things, young master.

Julia Natalia Cassandra, or Aunt Cassandra as Caesar likes to call her, is a commoner who has been loyally serving in Percival's mansion for 19 years of her life.

She is an old woman, presumably in her 70s, who was appointed to be the head maid for Ceaser's platoon of servants. Skilled in all sorts of hospitality and housekeeping, she happily devoted her life to serving Caesar.

Are you excited today? Aunt Cassandra questioned.

My power has proven worthy to partake in the academy, Caesar replied. So I am quite ecstatic for today.

Caesar suddenly remembered the smell of gunpowder and the deafening rings of grenades. He felt a burning sensation on the back of his neck.

I remember the entrance exam vividly. Caesar continued, The Fight was brutal, but the result was quite the wait. My divinity, the gift granted by god, helped me greatly. Where is my Father?

Aunt Cassandra seemed to smile at Caesar's enthusiasm. Oh my young lord, you will do spectacular, the old woman mused. Your father is currently waiting for you in the dining room, along with your mother.

Thank you, Aunty, Caesar said as he was prepared to leave the room.

Aunt Cassandra lightly stretched out her hands to block his path. Are you forgetting something, Master?

Caesar was briefly stunned, but his brain worked it out.

Oh yeah, sorry. Caesar scratched his hair. He lifted his arm, and the large sphere disappeared.

Caesar and Aunt Cassandra walked patiently to the dining area. Caesar knew what was coming: a long speech about responsibility and power from his father.

Ever since Caesar got his Divinity, his father has always repeated the same speech over and over again. Caesar quite enjoyed the company of his father and the speech, and it seems the young lad seems to learn new things every time he hears it.

As Caesar joins His parents in the dining area, his mother looks joyful for her son. Evelyn Joy Percival is a beautiful young woman and the 4th wife of Ceaser's Father.

Caesar was her only child, but sometimes one can surpass thousands.

She was quite a beautiful woman, with long black hair, amber eyes, and a wonderful build. She was a simple accountant and model who lived in the middle-class section of Shawnforth.

But all it takes is to help a man for directions, and you are suddenly dragged into a world of luxury.

Thank you so much, Evelyn said, as a servant filled her glass with wine.

Anything for your service, my lady. The Servant bowed.

Evelyn let out a giggle, and the servant blushed. He quickly continued to pour drinks for the rest of the family.

His father looked stern and disciplined as always with his Iconic monocle, plated in with the precious metal, Slaver, resting on his right eye. Ceaser could see in the old man's eyes, and the feeling of pride was present.

The eccentric GeoTech entrepreneur who predominantly owns Shawnforth introduced discoveries that changed the Scynther Cities, and beyond, for the better.

His name is Albert Gregory Percival.

The 10 ceters (which your people call meters), dining table plated in the rare gloydon metal, was filled with food of vast varieties and was already surrounded by all members of the Percival family.

This was the prestigious Percival Household.

Caesar took his seat at the end of the table, and servants quickly served him a plate of hot meat and veggies. He could feel the stare of his step-siblings; some hated him, and others tried to be nice to him.

But the Favourite of Caesar's 12 siblings was his elder sister, Beatrice Agnes Percival.

She is the 5th child and the first daughter of the 2nd wife, Monica Rain Percival.

One could describe her as a double-sided Coin. She had a remarkable and cherishable side that was kind to all. But she had a naughty, angry, and easily agitated side that mostly scared people.

She was a 17-year-old girl with long, black, curly hair, long legs, and blue eyes that she inherited from her grandmother. She also despised anything Purple.

What Caesar likes about her is that he can never predict which side she is on. Angry or happy, light or dark, heartwarming or chest-burning; she was a mystery, and Caesar loves Mystery.

Can I have plum, or heyter, or plum? No, Heyter. But plum is so sour, and heyter is sweet. Beatice said, contemplating which drink to choose.

I know, she declared. I will have both.

Beatrice sat opposite Caesar and gave him a quick wink. She was beautifully dressed in her school attire, and she was focused on her rice and cherry-melon stew.

My son, Caesar. Are you prepared for your first day at the Academy? Albert Percival said without taking his eyes off his food, as he steadily used the knife to cut a part of a Codper meat.

Even though the 12 piercing eyes of his step-siblings locked onto him, and the 3 other wives' gaze weighed heavily on his shoulders, Caesar was a Boy of Confidence.

Well, my dear father, I am more than prepared for today. Caesar declared. As a matter of fact, I believe that the Academy isn't ready for me."

Beatrice chuckled softly, and his Mother hid a big smile.

As two of Caesar's siblings started to giggle, Albert slammed his hand on the table.

Is something the matter, boys?, Albert asked sternly.

The two boys seized their banter and continued eating.

Albert's gaze returned to Caesar. I was once a commoner, and around your age when I thought of this empire. This took dedication, sacrifices, and a great deal of discipline. Albert lifted his eyes and fixed them on his son, Caesar Nova Percival. Do you acquire those virtues?

Caesar immediately knew that his father was serious when he took his eyes off his food.

My dear Father, I promise today that I will acquire those Virtues and many more. Caesar winked at Beatrice, and I pledge to surpass you.

Beatrice looked happy, and Evelyn seemed teary, as her little boy had become a man.

Albert started to talk, and Ceaser dared not miss a single word. The "Gift of Responsibility" Speech was created just for Caesar. Each child had a dedicated Speech, like Beatrice's "Prejudice of Beauty" Speech, which is like 10 Brumite long.

Caesar paid close attention to his speech, and as his Father concluded, Ceaser finished his meal.

Any questions, my son? Albert's eyes were cold and demanding.

No, Father.

Excellent as always, you are dismissed. Are your two companions following you?

Yes, Father and I have a special request.

Albert looked skeptical. Speak your request.

Caesar smirked. I would like to trek to the Academy with my Confidants.

Everyone in the Dining room went silent, and Beatrice threw Caesar a stare.

What is wrong with our Chariots, brother, Beatrice said. Are they not comfortable enough?

My young and beautiful sister...

I'm older than you by 3 years, Beatrice murmured.

You know I enjoy the Chariots, Caesar continued. I could never get enough of the comfortable cushions and the luxurious drinks and snacks, but I just wish to trek today.

Caesar looked at his mother, Mother, you know I can protect myself and my confidants, right?

Evelyn whispered in her husband's ear, and Albert did his usual internal debate with himself. He thought for a while and then spoke his Verdict.

You are permitted to go. Albert decided, but our Guards will have to protect you. They will not interfere with you and your Confidants, but they will trail you to keep you safe. Do you understand?

Caesar was unhappy with the verdict, but he knew he had no choice.

Yes, Father. He reluctantly agreed.

Very well, you are hereby dismissed.

Caesar hastily walked towards the door, and his bag flew to him and hovered to his side. As he opened the main door to the outskirts of the mansion, he smelt the fresh morning breeze.

Standing near the door, Caesar saw his companions.

The Beautiful and confident daughter of the great Apothecary Jenson King Edger, Izobel Kyra Edger.

Do you always have to make us wait? Izobel sighed.

The second was a handsome lad who looked rather calm for Caesar's hyper atmosphere. He is the 2nd prince of the kingdom of Zion, Prince Chalybe Winter Arthur V.

There's the golden boy, Chalybe laughed.

In the Mansion, Evelyne spoke up and broke the silence in the large dining area. My dear Husband, what do you think of Caesar's growth?

A chuckle was heard. That boy is becoming quite a show-off. Someone needs to teach him some manners.

Monica Rain Percival spoke up, elegantly sipping from her wine glass.

What do you say about my son, you ogre! Evelyn was ready to retaliate for the insult, but Albert carefully held her hand.

Albert dropped his napkin on the table and spoke firmly,

Calm down, both of you. The two wives exchanged glares and returned to their usual demeanor.

He is a boy who desires many things. Both Valuables and Secrets. Albert rested on his chair,  but a wise man once said, 'Good luck to those...That seeks the Mysteries.'

Caesar grinned when he saw his companions, and he knew a new chapter of his life had started now. Joy, nervousness, Passion, he wasn't sure how to express his feelings, but he was ready.

Caesar ran up to them, and his right eye turned bright red.

Destiny was calling out for him - But destiny doesn't know the power of an heir.
