Chapter 49 - Chapter 50.

The room was filled with a faint fluctuation of magic power, carrying the unique atmosphere of the Abyss.Nyx lazily leaned on the sofa, flipping through a book in his hand, seeing Ellis come in, he didn't even raise his eyelids, he just casually waved his hand, "Ah, mentor-sama is here, what's your instruction?"

Ellis' eyes sank as he looked at his careless appearance. He walked straight over and yanked the book out of Nyx's hand as he stared at him, "Do you or do you not realize that your magic is out of control?"

Nyx froze for a moment, then shrugged, "Oh, so that's what this is about.I knew you'd come to raise hell."He stretched and smiled unconcernedly, "Don't worry, I know in my heart that nothing will really happen to those gadgets."

Ellis' expression grew a bit colder, "You have a number?Do you think that something like a dimensional rift can be solved by you saying 'nothing will happen'?If I hadn't arrived at that time, that child would have been swallowed up, do you realize that?"

Nyx then frowned slightly, seeming a bit impatient, "You're exaggerating, that rift wasn't even that deep, he could have climbed out on his own."

"You don't even realize the severity of the problem!"Ellis' tone snapped up, "Nyx, you're not an ordinary demon, your magic power is growing, but your control has not improved at all.If you continue to be so capricious, sooner or later something will happen!"

Nyx's smile tightened a little bit as he looked at Ellis, a hint of impatience and resistance flashing through the depths of his golden pupils. He didn't like to be taught a lesson, and even more so, he didn't like Ellis speaking to him in such a tone as if he was "taking care of a disobedient child".

"Fine, fine, I was wrong."He waved his hand perfunctorily, "I'll be more careful in the future so that your students don't fall into the cracks, okay?"

Ellis looked at him with that careless look and was finally completely enraged. He took a step forward, his voice lowered to an extremely low level with rare anger, "Nyx, are you being perfunctory?"

Nyx raised an eyebrow, "Or what? You want me to apologize?Or do you want me to copy the academy code?"

Ellis' hand tightened slightly, and for the first time he realized that Nyx really wasn't taking any of this seriously. His magic was starting to become dangerous, and he himself didn't care in the slightest, and was acting cynical about it.

For a moment, the room fell into a kind of taut silence.

Nyx leaned back against the couch, his eyes looking at Ellis with a few teasing glances, and he seemed to be waiting for Ellis to say something harsher, or to just throw up his sleeves and walk away - but Ellis didn't, he just looked at Nyx, and there was silence for a few seconds before he spoke in a low voice, "Do you really think that you can go on like this forever?"

Nyx was slightly stunned.

"You think that your magic can be controlled by you 'at will' forever?"Ellis's voice was low, with a hint of imperceptible exhaustion, "Nyx, a demon's bar mitzvah is not a game, and your current state ... is dangerous enough."

Nyx didn't say anything, he just looked at Ellis quietly. This time, he could hear that Ellis was really angry. But he also heard out that in Ellis' tone, there was not only anger, but also a hint of hidden uneasiness.

It was the first time he'd heard that emotion in Ellis' tone.He blinked, the smile at the corner of his mouth tightening a little."So, what exactly are you trying to say?"He asked in a low voice.

Ellis was indeed angry, and more so than ever.He hadn't sealed Nyx's magic, but he'd resorted to a way that was much more difficult for Nyx to endure.Complete deprivation of freedom.

On the same day, Ellis brought Nyx back to his dormitory without any explanation, just reached out and heavy shackles appeared out of nowhere, locking Nyx's wrists and ankles with precision. This was not an ordinary shackle, but a special magical confinement, it would not hinder Nyx's magic operation, but would completely restrict him from moving around in the designated area - he could no longer run around at will, he could no longer engage in reckless mischief, and he couldn't even get out of Ellis's line of sight.
