"Ah, shit. I overdid it." Silas frowned as he stared at the woman who'd crashed into the fence of a house some metres away from them. He turned to Ether, "Why'd you leave me?"
"Pfft. You could have taken care of yourself." Ether rolled her eyes, shifting her glance to the side, crossing her arms under her breasts. She sniffed the air then gave Silas a look.
Silas raised a brow, wondering what she'd noticed. He looked around, but except for all the scared and running regulars, he couldn't see anything strange, "I have a terrible nose."
"It's the people from before," Ether frowned, inching closer to Silas as she scanned the area with her eyes. They were close to were she recalled the base, but 'something' was off.
"Maybe they regrouped?" Matilda blurted out, cracking her neck and stepping behind Silas with Ether. She observed the 'hostiles' approaching, using the scared crowd as cover.
