With the release of Chapter 105, Volume One of The Fallen One, titled 'Emergence', has officially come to a close.
Looking back, this volume has been an incredible learning experience. Writing a novel teaches you things you didn't even know you needed to learn—about pacing, characters, world-building, and most importantly, about yourself as a storyteller. I'm not sure how many of those lessons I've fully absorbed… but the journey's been worth every late night.
With that, I'm excited to announce that Volume Two, 'The Runes of Three-Zero Dawn,' will begin with Chapter 106.
Beginning with this volume, the narrative will mostly shift to a third-person perspective. This change will give me more freedom to explore the world, delve into multiple character arcs, and expand the story's scope beyond a single lens. It's a shift I've been looking forward to—and I hope it lets the story breathe in a new and deeper way.
What to Expect in Volume Two -
This arc will focus heavily on:
The internal conflicts of Varis, including its fractured power structures, knight divisions, and political tension.
Lucius's mysterious past and the hidden truths surrounding him.
Characters you've already met, but who've been lurking in the background, waiting for their moment to rise.
Backstories, historical events, and deeper lore that will reshape your understanding of this world.
If Emergence was about surviving the unknown, the second volume is about uncovering it—one secret, one memory, and one revelation at a time.
