Gabriel stepped through the grand iron doors and entered the Core Suppressing Chamber.
As soon as his boots crossed the threshold, the heavy iron doors slowly swung shut behind him with a dull, echoing slam. The moment the gates closed, the air around him shifted.
The pressure in this inner chamber was ten times stronger than anything they had felt outside.
It was a physical force, invisible but incredibly heavy, pressing down on the space like a falling ocean. The air itself felt thick and hard to breathe, vibrating with a high pitched, electric hum that could easily turn a normal mage's mana into empty dust in a fraction of a second.
If an ordinary cultivator had stepped into this room, their dantian would have ruptured instantly, their internal power violently ripped out of their pores to feed the room.
But Gabriel did not even flinch. The massive siphoning wave washed over his skin like a harmless breeze, completely unable to slow him down or drain his power.
