"I can sense you already. Come out."
Gabriel's calm, flat voice cut through the ruined, dusty air of the archway, bouncing softly off the cracked stone pillars.
Liang, Evelyn, and the surviving members of the Martial Palace and Broken Dawn lay spread across the blood-covered stone floor, their eyes wide with confusion. They looked around weakly, unable to pick up anything or anyone. To them, the place was empty, except for the massive, headless iron body of the mini giant guardian slowly fading into silver mist.
But Gabriel's gaze was locked on a dark, wide crack in the far stone wall.
Tap.
The sound of a soft, leather soled boot stepping onto the stone broke the silence. From the total darkness of the crack, a figure dressed in loose, pitch black robes stepped out. The robes were lined with red lines that seemed to slowly pulse in the dark. The figure's face was fully hidden beneath a deep hood and a half mask carved from pale bone.
Tap. Tap.
