"Kai, look! These injured people have readily accepted our help; treatment is underway, and many villagers said they'll prepare food for us," Yahiko said excitedly, closing the heavy gate.
"It's not as dangerous as you thought. Look how welcoming the villagers are."
Seeing the gatekeeper, his face beaming with unconcealed joy, rushing towards them, Yahiko's own tension eased. He had the courage to gamble with Kai, driven by pride. The thought of relinquishing Akatsuki, his life's work, was unbearable.

The simple command echoed like thunder. Everyone was stunned. Those holding Akatsuki members began to rapidly inflate like balloons. Their terrified expressions, bulging veins, and the spreading aura of menace were terrifying.
Before they could react, a series of earth-shattering explosions ripped through the town.
BOOM!
A crimson wave of explosive force surged outwards. The immense impact, combined with the power of transformed blood, swept through the town. Those nearby had no chance to escape, engulfed by the crimson wave.
"No!" Yahiko's eyes widened in horror. He saw the gatekeeper, now a human bomb, inches from him. Another deafening explosion rocked the town.
BOOM!
A thunderous explosion echoed.
Blood sprayed into the air as a violent blast wave ripped outwards.
The immense force overturned the ground, swallowing figures in the explosion's fury.
The sudden eruption stunned Nagato, who was caught in the blast wave. Seeing Yahiko engulfed in the explosion, he roared in grief and rage.
"Banshō Ten'in (Universal Pull)!"
Nagato reached out with his right hand. An invisible force instantly enveloped Yahiko within the blast radius.
