Zane's POV~
The next day arrived swiftly, the golden sun casting warm rays across my face. I groaned softly and pulled the blanket over my head, shielding myself from the light. Honestly, I needed more sleep....especially after all the drama that unfolded yesterday.
I silently hoped Alfie would send a message saying I didn't need to come to his Alpha training institution today. That way, I could stay in bed all day and just be alone. I swear, I really wasn't in the mood for anyone or anything right now.
But then...
Knock, knock, knock.
"Good morning, young master. It's time to wake up," came Sophia's voice from the other side of the door. There was a note of urgency laced in her usually calm tone. "Alpha Alfie is waiting for you in the car."
Waiting for me?
I raised an eyebrow as I let out a dry scoff.
"Doesn't he usually wake me up by...." I paused mid-thought, all while my gaze landed on my erect dragon. "He didn't even check up on me last night, let alone sleep in my bed."
