Chapter 118 - Chapter 118 – The Six Nations Summit Begins

The location for the Six Nations Summit was quickly decided—it would be held in the Federal Village of Sound.

In recent years, the Federation had built an excellent reputation, maintaining diplomatic ties with all nations. Hosting this summit made perfect sense.

During this turbulent time, the shinobi world was gripped by fear. Each nation was busy with post-disaster reconstruction and efforts to stabilize the hearts of their people. A joint declaration from all six nations was urgently needed to calm the public.

As the second-in-command of their respective nations, the Five Kage arrived one after another in the Village of Sound. Hyuga Gakuya personally welcomed each of them.

(In this world, the Daimyō handle governance and finances, while the Kage manage diplomacy and military affairs.)

"Lord Mokushuu, it's been a while," Gaara greeted warmly, extending a hand.

"Lord Gaara, I trust you've been well," Gakuya replied with a pleasant smile as they shook hands, exchanging polite greetings.

"Mokushuu-sama," Temari greeted from Gaara's side.

Gakuya didn't bother to hide his gaze as he gave Temari a once-over. When her cheeks flushed under his scrutiny, he chuckled and praised,

"Temari, you've grown even more beautiful."

Among the five great nations, the Federation and the Land of Wind shared the closest ties. Gakuya invited Gaara into a guest room for a private discussion ahead of the summit, securing his support for the following day.

...

The next day, the Six Nations Summit officially convened.

Seated around the round table were Hyuga Gakuya representing the Federation, Tsunade of the Land of Fire, Gaara of the Land of Wind, A of the Land of Lightning, Ōnoki of the Land of Earth, and Mei Terumī of the Land of Water.

Behind them stood their elite guards. The formation closely resembled the Five Kage Summit from the original timeline. The only difference that caught Gakuya's attention was the presence of Jiraiya and Shikaku standing behind Tsunade.

These six individuals represented the strongest forces in the shinobi world. The decisions made here would shape its future.

Gakuya cleared his throat lightly and began,

"I'm sure you're all well aware of the current situation. The disaster we just faced has brought unprecedented damage to the shinobi world."

"That's why I hope, during this summit, we can reach a consensus—to face future crises together."

It was a standard opening, diplomatic in tone. But what came next was the real show. Gakuya had already hinted to the other Kage that he possessed vital intel.

A cut-to-the-chase A was the first to speak.

"This isn't a press conference. Save the speeches. Let's see this intel so we can actually come up with a plan."

"Of course." Gakuya smiled and pulled out a stack of fabricated photos, handing them to Kimimaro.

"Pass these around to the other Kage."

"Yes, sir."

Kimimaro took the photos and made a full round, distributing them to each Kage.

As they looked through the images, everyone's expressions grew grave.

Just as they had suspected, one of the figures in the photo held a black staff—clearly the Sage of Six Paths. And the opponent... could it actually be an alien?

"Mokushuu-dono, are you certain these are real?" Ōnoki was the first to voice his doubt. The existence of aliens and the Sage of Six Paths seemed too far-fetched.

"Absolutely. These images were captured by the Federation's most advanced space telescope," Gakuya said calmly.

"Our preliminary analysis suggests that what we're seeing is a battle on the moon between the Sage of Six Paths and an unknown extraterrestrial enemy."

A holographic screen rose from the center of the table, playing a short but clearer video of the battle. Gakuya had personally gone into space to create this forged footage—he knew these leaders wouldn't be easy to fool without visual proof.

In the video, the Sage of Six Paths—with Rinnegan eyes, a black staff, and nine Truth-Seeking Orbs floating behind him—was locked in combat with an enemy bearing the Byakugan.

Jiraiya, standing behind Tsunade, flinched slightly at the sight of the Sage's Rinnegan, a trace of sorrow flashing in his eyes.

"Those black orbs… they're Truth-Seeking Balls," A muttered, brows furrowed. He had seen them before—right behind Gakuya.

All eyes turned toward A in an instant.

"Truth-Seeking Balls?" Gakuya asked, feigning surprise.

A hesitated for a moment, then decided to share.

"We saw them behind Hyuga Gakuya when he defected from the Leaf. We didn't know what they were at the time, but Gyūki—the Eight-Tails—told us."

"You all know how wise the Tailed Beasts can be. And my brother is a perfect jinchūriki. He wouldn't lie to me."

Tsunade's heart skipped a beat. She remembered when Gakuya had collected a sample of her blood...

Suddenly, she slammed her hand on the table.

"It all makes sense now. Gakuya must've known something all along. He took my blood… and he's absorbed the Uchiha's kekkei genkai. He knew. He knew before any of us."

Gaara, who had remained silent until now, finally spoke with calm clarity.

"So Gakuya's trying to become the second Sage of Six Paths?"

Tsunade nodded grimly. "That has to be it. Last time, he defeated Han—the jinchūriki of the Five-Tails from Iwagakure—with barely any effort."

Gaara pressed on. "Then why did he join the Akatsuki?"

A jumped in without hesitation.

"Good question. Mokushuu-dono, how exactly did you convince him to fight alongside my Land of Lightning during the last war?"

Gakuya remained unfazed. He had expected skepticism and prepared his answers long ago.

"I simply made an exchange—blood from the Kaguya and Uzumaki clans. That bought me a single favor from him."

The room fell silent.

All eyes were once again drawn to the footage on the screen as the Kage absorbed this information.

It was Mei who finally broke the tension.

"The Sage of Six Paths has the Rinnegan… but the enemy—why do they have the Byakugan?"

Everyone was thinking the same thing.

"The Rinnegan being the Sage's eye makes sense—that's long been in the legends," she continued. "But what about the Byakugan?"

Gakuya smoothly guided the conversation forward.

"We've considered that as well. After combing through countless ancient texts, we've come to a conclusion: the Hyuga clan may be descended from aliens."

"Our scientists believe it goes even further. The Uchiha, Senju, Uzumaki, and Kaguya clans—all of them may trace their bloodlines back to the same extraterrestrial origin."

Ōnoki scoffed. "Impossible. The Uchiha and Senju were mortal enemies during the Warring States era. They couldn't possibly share a common ancestor."

Gakuya remained composed.

"Why not? Hokage, you know what the Uchiha's eye and the Senju's body are called, don't you?"

Without thinking, Tsunade answered, "Sage's Eye and Sage's Body…"

"Exactly," Gakuya said with a nod. "The Sage's Eye and Body. And in ancient times, who else but the Sage of Six Paths could be called a true sage?"

His logic was sound. It was difficult to refute.

"We theorize that in ancient times, a group of aliens invaded the shinobi world. For reasons unknown, they fell into civil war—splitting into factions and slaughtering each other. The victors, unable or unwilling to return home, stayed and propagated their bloodlines. That gave rise to today's kekkei genkai clans."

This theory wasn't far from the truth. And none of the Kage could find a solid flaw in it.
