Time flowed gently on the island. The air was quiet, the sky soft, and peace wrapped around the ground like a long-forgotten blanket. Inside the main hall, two figures sat alone.
Mirshad lay resting with his head in his mother's lap. Her fingers moved slowly through his hair as she leaned back, drifting into sleep herself. The world outside them continued to spin, but here, in this moment, there was only silence and breath.
Elsewhere, in the advanced research wing of the underground facility, Sophia walked with Mirshad's cousins. They marveled at the technology — robotic systems, data labs, experimental chambers — but as they moved through the hallway, Sophia stopped.
A strange feeling twisted in her stomach. Her hand instinctively went to her mouth.
Without a word, she turned and walked into the nearby washroom. The others paused outside, concern rising in their faces.
Minutes later, she stepped out.
"What happened?" one of the cousins asked.
Sophia gave a gentle smile.
"Nothing serious. Maybe a smell… I don't know. Just felt a little dizzy."
A lady doctor who had been nearby noticed her expression and stepped closer.
"When was your last period?" she asked.
Sophia blinked, thinking. The realization came slowly.
"This month… I didn't get it."
The doctor smiled softly.
"Your eyes already told me the truth."
She turned away.
"Wait here. I'll be back."
The others stood in quiet wonder. Sara stepped beside Sophia.
"Are you okay? Do you want anything to eat?"
Sophia nodded, still unsure.
"I'm okay. It was sudden. Just… strange."
The doctor returned a moment later and handed Sophia something quietly — a pregnancy test kit.
Sophia looked at it, then at everyone else, confused.
"Why this?"
The doctor smiled.
"Just check. Do not worry."
Sophia nodded and stepped away. The moments that followed were slow and silent. Then the door opened.
She came out, her eyes full of tears, face glowing with disbelief. She handed the test kit to the doctor.
The doctor looked and smiled.
"Positive. You are pregnant."
There was a second of silence — then joy exploded. Cheers, laughter, hugs. The doctor raised her hands.
"So… the next warrior is on the way."
The cousins leaned in.
"Should we tell him now?"
Sophia shook her head.
"No. Not yet. Let's keep this as a surprise."
They agreed.
At that very moment, another group approached — Baba, Amir, Jabir, Malik, Rayyan, along with Mirshad's father, uncles, and aunts. Hearing the noise, they arrived with curiosity.
"What happened?" Baba asked.
The doctor handed the test kit to him.
He looked at it, puzzled.
"Who is…?"
Everyone stepped aside to reveal Sophia.
Baba smiled and passed the kit to Mirshad's father.
"A new member is coming to the family."
His father stepped forward, eyes wide, emotion building in every breath. He looked at Sophia and placed a hand gently on her shoulder.
"Is this true? Am I… going to be a grandfather?"
Sophia nodded.
"Yes, father."
His hands trembled. He smiled so wide it looked like tears would follow.
"Does he know?"
Before she could answer, one of the cousins whispered quickly.
"No. He does not know. We will surprise him tonight."
Everyone agreed.
But as they turned and walked toward the main hall where Mirshad had been resting… what they saw froze them in place.
His entire body was glowing.
Not softly, but powerfully. His skin pulsed with golden light. A silent fire danced around him — warm, not burning. The air around him had shifted.
It was not a glow of technology. It was something older. Greater.
His family stared, unable to speak.
"What is happening?" someone whispered.
The brothers stepped forward calmly.
"Do not worry," said Rayyan. "We have seen this before."
"It is normal for him," Baba added. "We will handle it."
The others stayed behind, still in awe.
Rayyan and Baba approached gently. Amir, Malik, Jabir, Sara, and Sophia stayed with the family, helping them calm down.
Baba knelt near his mother, who was still asleep, holding Mirshad in her lap. He touched her shoulder softly.
She woke slowly, smiling.
Then she looked down.
The smile vanished.
She gasped, seeing the golden glow around her son.
"What is this? What is happening to him?"
She reached for him, but Baba stopped her gently.
"Do not shout. It is okay. Wake him slowly. Do not disturb the flow."
She nodded and began shaking him softly, her tears falling again.
She looked at her husband.
"Why is our son glowing like this?"
He could not answer. His eyes were wide, his voice frozen.
Rayyan stepped closer, trying to wake him.
"Brother. Wake up. Time to eat. Everyone is waiting."
Baba also called out.
"Son. Come on. Lunch is ready. We are all here."
But Mirshad did not move.
He was breathing. Peacefully. But his body remained still.
Rayyan looked at Sophia and called her forward.
"Now it is your turn."
Sophia came, sat beside him, and gently touched his chest.
"Hey husband… what kind of sleep is this? We are all hungry. Wake up."
No response.
She closed her eyes. Whispered softly.
"My love… I don't know where your soul is right now. But I need you here. Please… come back to me."
She repeated it again.
When she opened her eyes… the glow began to fade.
His body moved.
He opened his eyes, saw her face, and smiled.
Without a word, he placed his head on her lap, eyes closing again — not from exhaustion, but peace.
Because she was his peace.
The one key that could unlock him.
The one who could call him back.
The rest of the family began whispering, their minds full of questions. His cousins and siblings stared, still trying to understand.
Sophia smiled, placed a hand on his head, and said playfully,
"Are you sleeping again? I'm hungry. We are all hungry. Wake up and eat."
Mirshad grinned.
"Everyone's watching. I know you are my boss… but now the others know it too."
"Please," she said, laughing. "Just go wash your face. Come to the table."
He stood, kissed her forehead, gave the rest a soft smile, and walked away to freshen up.
But the questions still burned in the air.
"What just happened?"
His brothers looked at one another.
"We don't have the full answer," Jabir said. "But we have seen it before."
Then they turned to Sophia.
"Tell us," Rayyan asked gently. "What is going on?"
Sophia looked at all of them and spoke with calm truth.
"You all know your brother. Your son. He is not normal. Sometimes, he travels between space and time. His body remains, but his soul goes far. We do not know where. I never told him. Because when he wakes, he never remembers."
"How do you know?" someone asked.
Sophia closed her eyes.
"Because when I touch him… and close my eyes… I can see. If I see nothing, he is in deep sleep. But if I see galaxies, stars, or distant places… I know he is already traveling."
One cousin stepped forward.
"How can you see all that? Are you not human too?"
Sophia smiled.
"I am his key. The key to his peace. And sometimes, the key to his storm. Many things happened in the last four years. One day, I will tell you everything."
Rayyan nodded.
"Mirshad is a mystery even we cannot solve. A man with power. A walking god. Or something we still do not understand. But for now… questions can wait."
He looked around.
"It is lunch time. He will come soon. And remember — do not mention the surprise."
Everyone agreed.
They all gathered at the table. The food was ready. The family was complete.
They waited for him.
The man who changed the world.
The boy who slept on his mother's lap.
The soul that travels.
