Chapter 139 - The Night Before History

The waves crashed gently against the shore, the night sky stretched endlessly above them, and the cool sand beneath their feet held the weight of something more than just bodies—it carried the weight of destiny.

Mirshad still lay with his head resting on Sophia's lap, his eyes half-closed, lost in thought. He wasn't asleep, but he also wasn't fully present. His mind wandered between the past and the future, between what had been and what was coming.

Then, one by one, his family arrived.

Baba. Jabir. Rayyan. Amir. Malik. Sara.

They didn't say a word at first. Instead, they simply sat down, forming a circle around him and Sophia. There was no need for grand introductions or forced conversations. This was their family, their bond. Words were secondary.

For a long moment, only the sound of the waves filled the silence.

Then, unexpectedly, it was Amir who spoke first—not in his usual playful tone, but with a rare seriousness.

"I never imagined we'd have a night like this again," he murmured, his gaze fixed on the stars. "This reminds me of when Faisal, Rayyan, Malik, and I first stood together, back when we took down Daniel's empire."

He exhaled deeply, lost in memory. "We placed our seats there, we ruled, we fought, we bled. But it didn't last. Still… those were some of the best days of our lives. Life-threatening, chaotic, but damn, they were worth every second."

Baba nodded. "We were kings in the shadows back then. We took what we wanted, controlled what we could. But it was short-lived."

Rayyan added, his voice thoughtful, "But even then, we never imagined something like this. That one of us would stand on the edge of rewriting history itself."

Mirshad finally opened his eyes fully, staring at the sky. His voice was calm, yet carried an undertone of uncertainty.

"So… the days have come again," he said, his tone unreadable.

Baba looked at him, his expression soft yet firm. "Yes, son. And this time, we are not just kings of the streets. You are leading us into something far greater."

Rayyan turned to Mirshad, curiosity in his gaze. "Are you worried about tomorrow? Do you feel… any tension?"

For a moment, Mirshad didn't respond.

Then, a small, almost imperceptible smile crossed his lips.

"Yes. A little."

Rayyan raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

Mirshad nodded. "If I go into war, I don't care how many stand against me. I know what to do. I erase them. Simple. But this… this is different. This is something I have never experienced before. We ruled in the shadows. But tomorrow, we step into the light. There's no going back after this."

The weight of his words settled over them. Everyone understood. Tomorrow wasn't just a meeting—it was the moment. The one that would decide everything.

Amir leaned back, staring at the sky. "You're right, brother. We are standing in a very critical moment. The world doesn't even know what's coming."

Then Malik spoke, his voice laced with curiosity. "So, do you plan to reveal your both identities—MRD and Boss?"

Silence.

Mirshad tilted his head slightly, as if processing the question.

"If the situation demands it," he finally said. "Then I don't have another option."

Rayyan let out a low whistle. "Damn. If that happens, it'll be history. A man who ruled the world in shadows with fear and in the light with wealth… both identities merging into one. The moment people realize Boss and MRD are the same person…" He shook his head in amazement. "That moment will be unforgettable."

Mirshad said nothing. He simply let the thought settle in.

Then, one by one, his brothers and family laid back on the sand, looking up at the stars.

Baba's voice broke the silence.

"Mirshad," he said softly, "you are our strength. You are our power. But don't ever forget that your journey is far from over. This is just the beginning. In the future, many things will come that only you can stop."

Amir nodded. "Yeah, brother. We're a family, but without you, none of us are whole."

Baba shifted slightly, turning his gaze to Mirshad. "What did your parents say when you told them?"

A rare moment of pure happiness flickered in Mirshad's eyes.

"After six years," he murmured, "I will finally see all of them tomorrow."

Rayyan grinned. "Did you tell them everything?"

Mirshad nodded. "Yes, I did. And I've already arranged everything to bring them here. They need to see everything for themselves—not through a screen, but in reality."

Baba smiled. "You're right. They need to witness their son standing where he belongs."

Mirshad's voice softened. "I know. And I will protect them. All of them. All of you. No matter what it takes. Without any of you… I am empty."

No one spoke.

Because there was nothing left to say.

They all understood.

They lay there, beneath the endless sky, letting the night cradle them in its quiet embrace.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Sara was the one who spoke.

"Alright," she said, sitting up. "We've said everything we need to. Now let's go inside and actually get some sleep before we make history."

One by one, they stood, dusting the sand off their clothes.

As they walked back toward the underground, there were no more heavy conversations.

Only laughter.

Only teasing.

Only family.

And for the first time in a long time… Mirshad felt peace.

Tomorrow, the world awaited him.

But tonight… he was just a brother, a son, a man.

And that was enough.
