The Seeker of Destruction
Night had fallen, and the capital's smog was covered by a dense cloud of black smoke, which began to overpower every corner. The streets were filled with debris, and shattered stones were scattered everywhere. However, not everything was damaged; the commanders managed to fend off the Shadow Squad's attack. Their assault at that moment had been a surprise, and the attack was still ongoing. The smoke was so thick it blinded the eyes and weighed the air with the smell of decay and fire.
Akayama: After that person fled, many of them appeared. They tried to kill me, the first one threw his spear at me, but I grabbed his spear with all my strength instead of dodging it. With a counterstrike, the metal edges of the spear ignited. Despite his resistance, his paper-like body was torn under the sharp blade. As for the other, he tried to bind me with chains, but I managed to reverse the situation. He was tied up, and then I crushed his body with them.
But then the blood began to boil, and they turned into beasts resembling wolves, but much larger. Their bodies turned a deep red, while their pupils disappeared, replaced by eyes as red as burning coals. The sound of their sharp fangs filled the air as they all charged towards me. I smiled and drew my katana from its sheath.
In another part of the capital, there was no samurai to protect the area. The attack was still ongoing, resulting in the deaths of most of the residents at the hands of the Shadow Squad. But they raised their weapons high, and the shadow of a strong figure appeared. The swords were aimed at them, and everyone was pierced by them, blood splattering everywhere.
The one who managed to survive began to expel air from his mouth and die. The figure appeared: his hair was yellow, and he had a light beard on his face. He wore ordinary clothes and did not carry a sword.
This person was the first commander, "Ryota," the strongest of them all. Ryota yawned and appeared annoyed: "Really, you all waited until this time to attack during my rest?" A look of anger appeared on his face as he said: "Damn, I'm angry."
On the other side, most of the attackers had been frozen by "Roku," and the attack was halted by the three commanders. However, Ryota and Roku were both frustrated since this day was supposed to be their day off.
Thus, Roku made them suffer brutally, as if he was venting his anger on them.
One of the samurai wondered: "Why do most commanders not wear armor?" Jin looked at him calmly: "Commanders don't wear armor because they don't need it in the first place."
"What do you mean by that? We use armor for protection, unlike commanders, they can protect themselves with their aura, so armor is useless to them, as the aura provides better protection."
"So that's why they don't wear armor, huh?"
Before they could continue speaking, an explosion from the aura shocked Roku and everyone present. They saw that eight buildings had been divided in seconds with precision.
Only the debris of the destroyed buildings remained, and hundreds of monster corpses had fallen.
A few minutes ago:
The beasts had managed to surround me, but after I drew my katana, I made a single swipe with the sword. The air was cut sharply, and in an instant, eight buildings fell in perfect synchronization, with their inevitable paper-like bodies falling through the air.
Back to the present:
A figure stood atop the ruins. As for "Takeru," he was below the debris, stunned. His hair was soaked in blood, and his eyes were wide with shock. His fist tightened around his sword, and he yelled in anger: "Who the hell are you?"
I smiled sarcastically and spoke in a chilling calmness: "I am the one who seeks destruction..."
Then, in the blink of an eye, my body disappeared. The truth was that it was nothing but an illusion on my part, part of my plan to distance suspicions from me. After a few minutes, I appeared disguised in my second form, pretending to be injured, and said: "I called for support."
"Takeru," whose body and hair were soaked in blood, bowed: "I truly apologize, I doubted you without a valid reason."
I smiled and said: "Don't worry, if I were in your place, I would have done the same."
Takeru smiled and said: "I see a brilliant future for you."
When I left, the situation was still unsettled. The place was drowned in silence, with the faint sound of winds sweeping through the ruins of the destroyed buildings. Takeru's expression changed, and he became calm. He thought to himself: "Really, I should have pretended that I had removed my doubt about him, but his aura is still mysterious, as if he is stronger than me. I have to watch him, because I suspect he's the same person who was standing on top of the ruins... he could be the spy."
