Ritsuka's Room, Chaldea Security Organization
Ritsuka POV
When he opened his eyes, he found himself in an unfamiliar room, again. The room was dark, but there was enough light that his vision could make out the limited furniture adorning the room.
How much time had passed?
The last thing he remembered was the exhaustion he felt after he committed a blasphemous taboo. The taboo of embracing the body of a goddess who was never meant to be held by a man.
His neck still felt numb in the same place where said goddess had sucked his blood as punishment for his sin.
He took a deep breath and his nose was immediately assaulted by a sweet aroma.
He cleared the gunk from his eyes so he could see better and the first thing he saw after his vision refocused was a head of purple hair.
'Rider?' Whatever notion he had was disabused when he noticed the hair was tied into twin tails.
'Not Rider, then who?' Much like Regigigas waking from its slumber, it took him too long to realize what was going on.
He just experienced one of Emiya's memories through his dreams, again. Servant dreams were always vivid and immersive, but for some reason, Emiya's were a step above the others.
Of course, he's seen Emiya at his best and his worst, but it was nights like these that gave him a window into a side of Emiya Shirou that he wished he never saw.
Good grief, first Saber Artoria, then Rin Tohsaka, and now Sakura and Medusa? Emiya had some serious game despite all those cheesy, concerning, and sometimes hilarious thoughts that went through his head during one of these intimate sequences.
The last time he brought up these dreams in a conversation, the man he vehemently denied having slept with so many women and that their master/servant link was showing him memories from Shirous that were not him.
Well, not like he could throw stones from his glass house, because he, Ritsuka Fujimaru, was currently spooning a very naked goddess at the moment.
Shortly after he summoned her, Stheno had refused to leave his side and followed him nearly everywhere, with the only exception being when he had to use the bathroom and when he was training.
To others, it looked like she was a clingy stalker, and to a degree she was and is;however, he knew there was more to her than that. She clung to him because he was the only form of safety she knew.
Forcibly removing her was not an option. She hid it well under her cheeriness, but he felt the tremor in her hands when they separated. She desperately needed and wanted him, and she made her intentions clear when she asked him for a mana transfer.
The lizard part of his brain was excited by the prospect, but his rationality prevented him from going all the way.
If it was just Stheno, he would have likely indulged her, but so long as the unwilling Zenobia came attached to her, any carnal intimacy was denied.
Thankfully, she didn't push him beyond the first rejection, and they compromised on cuddling instead. Yet, cuddling was the excuse his girlfriend always told him during school nights before major exams, and those cuddles never stayed cuddles for long.
Stheno clearly knew this and that is likely why she stripped sometime after he fell asleep.
Checking the time, he noted it was already 3AM.
One of his eyelids drooped lower, 'It's too early for me to care about this, today is the day the pokemon battles start.'
Deciding he had no fucks to give until later in the morning he decided to give Stheno a bone and hugged her body tighter.
Stheno let out a soft moan from the suddenness but soon enough, she settled back down by smacking her lips and began to let out cute but soft snores.
He allowed her heartbeat and breathing to lull him to sleep and once again.
His vision swam and once again, he was in front of Rider Medusa. This time, however, she wasn't naked. In fact, she was wearing more clothes due in part to her eyeband covering her eyes.
The woman reached behind her neck and slowly unclipped her eyeband. The eyeband slipped off, revealing the serpent tattoo on her forehead.
Then, she opened her eyes and his heart lurched when her beautiful square pupils stared into his soul, petrifying him.
His eyes shot wide open and Medusa was gone, and in her place stood someone that made his breath hitch in fear.
Kiyohime had sneaked into his room and she was kneeling beside his bed, watching him sleep.
Her predatory, piercing yellow eyes glowed ominously in the dark room, and they were looking at him like he was some kind of prey animal. He could see those eyes were filled with hurt, longing, anger, and when they drifted towards the goddess in his embrace… envy.
A burning odor tickled his nose, and a blue flame emerged from where Kiyohime's hand rested on the bed.
That was the only warning Kiyohime gave before his room turned into a blue inferno.

Chiron POV
After being summoned, he had excused himself so that he could review the mission archives. He did so because he wanted to get a better understanding of his Master, Ritsuka Fujimaru, and how he could best help him.
Suffice to say, he was impressed that the boy had accomplished so many great feats of heroism in such a short timespan. The boy had the patience of a saint and he always strove to improve himself despite the motherhenning some of his servants were doing to him.
He wasn't alone in his viewings, as Hippolyta, the lover of one of his students, had joined him in his research.
To say that the warrior queen was also impressed was an understatement. Unlike most magi, the boy actively tried his best to train his body so that he could fight alongside his servants rather than hiding away in a bunker somewhere.
That alone would have been enough to win her over, but the fact he actually risked his own life for the lives of his servants and the people around him was what truly caused her to view him as someone she would be proud to serve.
Unfortunately, a great feat can be both good and bad depending on the circumstances.
His charisma and ability to easily befriend servants had attracted the attention and adoration of a goddess. It's well documented in myth that goddesses, regardless of ther intentions, brought misfortune to mortals they fancy.
That belief was proven true once again when the emergency alarms went off due to a fire that erupted inside Master's room.
"So? Do you two have anything to say for yourselves?" Emiya said while looking down at the two troublemakers sitting in front of him.
The goddess Stheno huffed, "To treat a goddess like this, you truly are a brute, Emiya."
Emiya crossed his arms, unimpressed by her complaints which caused the goddess to sniff in displeasure.
"Well, if you must know, I had no fault in this mess. I was sleeping peacefully with my Darling Master, when this creepy, pyromaniac brat snuck into our room and set everything on fire."
Kiyohime whirled on Stheno with a burning glare of hate.
"It is my right as Anchin-sama's wife to share a bed with him. I saw that a pest was clinging to him and naturally, I had to cleanse the room with fire." Kiyohime explained like she had found a normal cockroach in the kitchen.
[Heart0f6old: Yo, I just got here, what happened? ]
[MalasadaMayhem: Burning_Jealousy got jealous of Stheno sleeping with Gudao and burned his room into carbon. ]
[Heart0f6old: Is he okay? ]
[DRaigHan: He and Stheno are fine, and miraculously, even his PC is untouched, but everything else was burnt to a crisp. ]
[Heart0f6old: Bummer, well at least his stuff is okay. He's lucky he wore his Madara shirt, I fear it would have been lost in the flames if he didn't. ]
[PerfectlySaneHex: I know how you feel, but burning down the love nest is no good Kiyo. ]
"Your botched extermination attempt ended with Master's room being uninhabitable, which means he will have to move to another room."
He saw the hopeful look on the two servant's faces, alongside Jalter and Mash, but Emiya put his foot down before they got any ideas.
"No. No female servant shall host Master in their private room. He will instead sleep in my quarters until his own room is back in shape. Today's incident has shown us that we can't trust you girls to not retaliate against each other while seeking his affections, even if it drags Master in the middle of your squabbles."
"And how can we trust that you won't attempt to have an illicit Boys Love bonding time with Anchin-Sama?"
[ILiekQTThings: Ngl, EmiyaxGudao checks all my boxes for a ship. ]
Emiya gave Kiyohime a dry, deadpan look, "I don't swing that way."
Kiyohime pursed her lips, "Apologies Emiya-san, Anchin-sama already bears the seed of corruption from the pink one, I was just afraid that it would eventually blossom into temptation."
Stheno rolled her eyes, "Oh please, the only reason Darling even sees Astolfo in that way is cuz he's a femboi who wears a short skirt. Any man or woman could mistake him for a woman even when they know his gender."
[Bunny_Aachan: Master thinks he's sneaky, but I have caught him staring at my butt too. ]
[PerfectlySaneHex: BEGONE DEMON!! KEEP YOUR FEMBOI CHARMS AWAY FROM MY GUDAO!! ]
[ILiekQTThings: AsstolfoxGooDao ship is good too. ]
[Ugh, GooDao?(•᷄ࡇ•́) Ma'am, please step away from the keyboard, you are clearly drunk. ]
"Of course the greek snake would find Anchin-sama coupling with feminine men to be acceptable." Kiyohime said while also rolling her eyes.
Emiya saw the conversation devolve and put an end to it, "Alright, enough. Again, for the duration of his stay in my room, unless he specifically picks you to sleep with him at night, you are to leave him alone. Coercing Master so he picks you doesn't count, so if you want to fight on who gets to be with Master, do it in the appropriate areas."
"B-But-"
"No buts Kiyohime, if people do not comply, offenders will take over Kriemhild's dishwashing and toilet cleaning duties." Emiya narrowed his eyes on both women.
"Is that clear?"
Stheno and Kiyohime both reluctantly agreed. Based on the deep, pained sigh that came from the man, It seemed Emoya was aware that this wasn't going to deter them, but chose not to prolong this scolding for longer.
"Well, I am already awake, so I am going to hit the showers before breakfast." Master Ritsuka got up and walked toward the showers.
Hippolyta looked at Master's retreating form with a raised brow, "Master doesn't seem to be upset that his private space was destroyed."
"Well, it takes a lot to rile him up, though that pep in his step is more excitement for today's event." Emiya said before he sent another glare at Stheno for trying to sneak past him.
Hippolyta furrowed her brows, "Event? What event?"
Emiya made a face like he remembered something, "Ah right, Master has unlocked the ability to see pokemon battles happening in the other world where the chatters come from. So It's basically a childhood dream come true for him."
Hippolita made a noise of recognition, "Oh! I heard a few others mention that there was going to be a grand spectacle soon, to think it was today. I had no idea."
"Master said everyone is welcome to join, so if you wish to see it, you can come. I am even giving the kitchen staff time off to watch it." Emiya's invitation roused interest from both Hippolyta and himself.
"In that case, we shall have to attend, what say you Chiron?" Hippolyta looked at him curiously.
While Greece didn't have spectacle bloodsports as grandiose as the Romans did, they did have cockfighting as a pastime. So he was not squeamish about watching animals being forced to fight, though based on the context given, pokemon battles were significantly more tame than normal animal bloodsports were.
He shrugged, "I am curious to see how these pokemon battles function, so why not?"
[Heck yeah it is!! I am excited!! ]
[The whole world is tuned in just to watch your reactions. ]
[ShortShorts_QUEEN: Part of me feels bad that it's not gonna be much of a spectacle, more of an execution tbh. ]
[Heart0f6old: RIP Blaine, you were a cool guy with fun quiz questions. ]
[You actually like Blaine's quiz questions?!]
[Heart0f6old: Nah, I hated them, but it's bad juju to speak ill of the dead. ]

Simulation Room, Chaldea Security Organization
"Woah, it's huge." Master said as he walked into the massive theater… and what a theater it was. A lot of the seats were cushioned, rather than being made of stone like the ones in Greece. The size of the structure was nothing to scoff at, as it could seat plenty of people to watch the giant screen by the wall.
This arrangement treated every audience member as if they were kings, and he knew many would definitely start wars just to get the opportunity to sit in such a place.
The woman named Da Vinci stepped into the room with soft clacks as her heels hit the carpet. She had a wide, proud smile on her face as she presented the sight before them.
"Yep!! I made some last minute modifications to the simulation room, so now you can generate this theater to have movie nights if you wish and hopefully, it should sync up to your powers so we can peer into the other world."
"I am grateful for your labor Leonardo Da Vinci. You have done your Emperor a great service by providing such a wonderful amphitheater for us to watch these Venatio between magical beasts!" The Emperor of Rome said as she strutted into the room like she owned the place.
With the tide of people flooding into the room, everyone chose to take their seats. Master sat in the center seat two-thirds of the way from the screen, which according to Da Vinci's claims, was the best place to experience a modern theater.
He and Hippolyta sat a few seats behind Master.
To prevent a seating drama that would end with the simulation room being set on fire, both Romani and Mash sat to Master's left and right, while Stheno and Kiyohime were wisely placed on seating far away from each other and Master, while also keeping them close enough that they won't cause a ruckus.
All the other servants took their seats nearby, with the only exception being Altera, who decided her Father's lap was the best seat in the house.
He also made note of a few curious Chaldea employees who also joined the viewing, though they mostly stuck to the outer seats.
Suddenly, the screen flickered on, as if it was alive, and words he'd only seen on his chat screen appeared on display.
[GudakoBot: Holowatch Enabled, Establishing link…. Done. ]
The text disappeared and the screen turned white.
The white vanished and what took its place was a stadium that dwarfed the seating arrangement of this room.
There were literal hundreds, no, thousands of people taking up those seats. Their collective cheers just added to the sheer weight of their presence.
There were giant screens inside that stadium that showed a stylized symbol that resembled those gadgets he had learned were called pokeballs. He also saw a lot of advertisements being displayed for multiple products that had cute creatures plastered all over them.
Cu Chulainn let out a long whistle, "Talk about tax dollars well spent, that is a large stadium.
"Well, these pokemon battles are extremely popular in their world, so it's only to be expected their stadiums would reflect that." Gareth pointed out.
The camera then showed a middle aged gentleman walking onto the field. He looked like he was a bit on the rounder side due to a lack of physical activity, but the sharp, expensive suit made it clear why that was.
The crowd quieted down and the man gave an appreciative nod before he began his speech.
"Welcome one and all! To the Wyndon Stadium!! I am Chairman Rose, the president of the Macro Cosmos conglomerate and the chairman of the Galar Pokémon League, and I am proud to have the Galar region serve as the neutral party to host this most anticipated exhibition match between Gym Leader Blaine of Kanto and Champions of Unova, Kalos, and Sinnoh.
However, before we get too ahead of ourselves, I have just been informed that as of this moment, Gudao and the surviving staff of the Chaldea Security Organization are currently watching today's event!
Please help me in giving them a warm welcome into our wonderful world of pokemon!"
The man in the suit then gestured to the screen behind him, which changed to show a view of the very room they were all seated in.
The crowd began to cheer with even more fervor. From where he sat, he could see a lot of humans were wearing shirts that had their faces plastered on them.
Due to their nature as heroic spirits, they were used to fame and large crowds showering them with praise. Thus, most, including himself, waved at the people on the screen. While some refused to engage with the crowd, both Astolfo and Nero enthusiastically basked in the attention.
"Hey!! I'm on the big tv!! Hi everyone!! It's our turn to watch you now!!" Astolfo said as he waved his hands so wide it looked like he was collecting their cheers directly from the air.
"Umu!!! Now this is more like it!! Praise me!! Praise your emperor for she has come to be entertained!!" Nero proclaimed while also waving to the screen.
Meanwhile, both Master Ritsuka and Mash waved sheepishly at the screen, both of them were clearly uncomfortable by the large arbitrary number on the viewcount finally showing themselves in front of them.
Eventually, the cheers died down and Chairman Rose spoke again, "Gudao, I hope you and your servants, as well as all the people watching us on your side of the screen will enjoy the show.
Now then, due to the inclusion of our otherworldly viewers, and the uncommon battle style the exhibition match will present, the organizers of this exhibition match thought it would be prudent to showcase a few normal battles as a warm up for the grand exhibition match, and also so that the people of Earth have a baseline to how normal battles usually go."
The man bows, "I hope you all enjoy yourselves."
With his peace said, Chairman Rose chose to walk away. Once he was safely out of the field, an announcer made his presence known.
"For the first match of the day, we have two of our very own gym leaders stepping up to the plate!"
A figure emerges from one of the doors, a young, muscular woman wearing no footwear walked confidently to the center of the field. Based on her physique alone, it was obvious this girl had a strong sense of discipline. The way she walked also spoke of someone well versed in martial arts and was capable of using them.
"On the left, we have the Gym Leader of Stow-on-Side town, Bea!! And also, with her consent , she has allowed us to reveal the username she goes by in Gudao's chat… so give it up KicksYouInTheFace193!!
"So that's what she looks like." Jalter mused while staring at Bea with intensity.
"Jalter, you aren't allowed to use your dojutsu on Bea." Ritsuka asked kindly which caused Jalter to roll her eyes.
"Yeah, yeah, I won't. She's getting off scott free just this once…"
"And on the left, we have the Gym Leader of Circhester Town, the Rock type specialist of Galar and favorite to become champion, it's Gordie!!"
A rotund young man strutted into the field and the crowd got riled up again. The way this young man carried himself was the opposite of his opponent. Cocky and smug, this boy was someone who regularly basked in the attention of the crowd.
He reminded him of Jason in a way. He hoped he won't continue feeling this nostalgia by the end of the match.
"Hey there Bae, I hate to do this to you but I hope you're ready for a beatdown because I am not going to hold my punches." Gordie's taunts did not phase the girl in the slightest.
"I wouldn't want you to… in fact I would be upset if you did."
Both trainers nodded before they looked away from each other and walked towards what he assumed were the starting positions.
A man wearing a referee uniform walked out into the field. When he spoke his voice was projected across the stadium through the microphone near the top of his collared shirt.
"This will be a two on two battle between Gym Leader Bae and Gym Leader Gordie. Trainers are not allowed to switch out, and items are strictly forbidden. Do you understand the rules?"
Both acknowledged the rules given to them.
"Then…" The man lifted a hand to the sky and made a chopping motion.
"Let the match begin!!"
Both trainers brought out a spherical ball from their respective side belts and pressed a button at its center, which caused it to expand in their respective grasps. He had to admit, despite his dislike for posturing and boasting, the poses those two struck were rather well executed.
Given how this was meant to be a sport fought by their captured phantasmals did allow him to give them some leeway in his assessment.
"Go! Sirfetch'd!!" A phantasmal, no, a pokemon, came out of the ball in a blue flash of light.
It was a white duck that carried itself like a knight. It wielded a tall leek as if it were a sword and had a shield made of hard green leaves.
What fascinating choices for weapons.
"Ah, so that's what the owner of that sword looks like." Astolfo commented, his head was resting on his hands with the seat reclined all the way back.
"It's still wild to see that they gave Farfetch'd an alternate form and an evolution, and modeled after a knight of all things. How exciting!!" Romani said with the excitement and wonder of a child while his Master matched the man's enthusiasm.
"I know right?!! I still can't believe this is real!! We are watching a real life pokemon battle!!"
Seeing his master enjoy himself did bring a smile to his face. He wouldn't disparage him for enjoying these kinds of spectacles. Any man would react the same if they got a chance to achieve or witness a childhood dream after all. After what he's been through thus far, he definitely deserved this downtime.
"Huh, so you weren't kidding when you told me those leeks were used as an actual sword." Boudica confessed to Emiya, who just stared blankly at the duck's shield for a moment before he shook his head.
"Honestly, I didn't believe it either until I read the history of that weapon and added it to my unlimited blade works."
On the screen, Gordie saw the bird pokemon and smirked, "Let's show them what we got, Barbaracle!!"
The man took a step and pulled his arm back, but he didn't throw his pokeball. Instead, the man chose to perform an athletic backflip that defied his build while simultaneously throwing his pokeball midair.
The ball hit the ground and a blue light emerged from its insides, which coalesced into hulking golem with appendages that protruded from two craggy rocks that served as its chest and hips. At first glance, one would assume this creature was a singular being, but the moment one saw the eyes embedded on its hands, it was obvious it was a collective.
Its appearance, however, was overshadowed by its trainer's unexpected acrobatics as that trick had caught the others off guard.
A few of them were staring at the screen with disbelief, others were mildly impressed. Of course, as servants, performing a backflip by itself was an unimpressive feat for them, but the fact it was successfully executed with ease by a modern person who looked like they neglected their health for years made it more impressive.
"Woah!! That fatass actually managed to pull off a standing backflip!!" Jalter exclaimed, uncaring that her comment would come off as rude.
[HEY!! DON'T YOU DARE BODYSHAME MY MAN JALTER!! ]
[IceCold-Melony361: Goodness, you are such a naughty child Jalter. You need to be taught some manners young lady. ]
[He's not fat nor is he an ass. He's got a fine ass, and you're just jealous you can't do a backflip!! ]
In sharp contrast, Nero had the opposite reaction and clapped for what she had just witnessed, "Umu! That was a splendidly executed backflip sir, you have earned your emperor's attention and approval!"
"Impressive backflip aside, based on the name, can I assume it's based on a barnacle of sorts?" Da Vinci asked, curious about the biology of the creatures.
"In the games, it's actually based on a goose barnacle. All those appendages and its head that are attached to the rocks are actually binacles. Binacles are the pokemon that evolve into Barbaracle by coming together sort of like Magneton and dugtrio, but with more pokemon added to the mix. They are quite literally known as the collective pokemon just for that reason alone."
"Ugh, what a disgusting creature." The woman, who he recalled was the infamous Carmilla, said with disgust in her tone.
Bea threw a light jab forward when she gave her first command.
"Close the distance with First Impression!"
The duck pokemon squared its shoulders and pointed its sword at its hulking opponent. The pokemon suddenly sprang into action with speeds that, to a normal person, would have been impossible to follow.
He, on the other hand, could clearly see that Sirfetch'd had followed its trainer's command without making any excessive movements.
By the time Gordie opened his mouth to speak his order, it was too late.
The leek hit the pokemon with a loud smack, earning Bea's pokemon the first strike.
Most heroes he trained disliked receiving the first strike during sparring bouts, and it seemed Gordie was no different as he showed mild annoyance by the attack; However, he didn't allow that annoyance to cloud his mind.
As for the strike itself, he noticed it lacked power despite its speed, but he also knew the attack was ordered not with the intent to hurt, but instead for the pokemon to get as close to its opponent as possible.
Bea karate chopped the air, "Now use Leaf Blade!!"
The leek in the bird's hands glowed a bright green and it swung it in a wide arc.
"Catch it with X-Scissor!" Gordie called out while crossing his arms.
His partner mimicked his trainer and crossed its now glowing arms and blocked the Leaf Blade attack before it could land on him.
The weight of their strikes were real, even watching from a screen, he could feel the dense magical energy from their attacks.
"It's surprising that such a small duck can stand up to that giant. It's like watching David fight Goliath!" Da Vinci's comment elicited a weird response from Romani who let out a nervous chuckle.
"Yeah, you're right. Though David was more of a sling user than a swordsman."
The clash came to a literal explosive end when the opposing energies blew up in the respective pokemon's faces.
Unlike the Goliath of this battle, who stood unmoved by the shockwave, the smaller Sirfetch'd was thrown back from the force.
This time, Bea's stoicism cracked and showed the frustration hiding underneath, "Sirfetch'd, recover and Feather Dance!"
The pokemon righted itself and it managed to land on its feet and redirected the momentum with a graceful spin.
The spin loosened its feathers, which then detached from its body and filled the air with a small cloud of glowing white feathers.
"Pretty…" Altera said while staring at the feathers in awe, and he had to agree. The feathers all moved with the grace and poise of a dancer, almost as if they had been caught in the breeze of a dancing wind nymph.
The feathers seemed to hold some form of threat as Gordie desperately gave another command.
"Shoot them out of the sky with Bubble Beam!!"
Carmilla heard the order and scoffed, "How ridiculous, are we watching a battle or a game of bubbles and feathers?"
The woman spoke too soon because the supposed bubbles that she mocked were not simple soap bubbles. These bubbles shot out from the golem's mouth at the speed and firing rate of a machine gun. They also had the power to back them up, as bubbles that had struck the ground left small craters in their wake.
"Hahahaha!! A game of bubbles she says, how does it feel to be dead wrong, Carmilla?"
The woman got over her surprise quickly and crossed her arms, "Shut up, you had the same reaction I had Dracul."
"Humph, I admit I was surprised, but unlike you I have the capacity to hold my tongue."
"Hm, it seems like pokemon attacks function more like the anime than the games in real life." Master pointed out while leaning a bit closer to get a better look at the feathers.
Mash turned to look at Master, "Why is that Senpai?"
"Well, normally in the games, it's not possible to use a move to stop a status move unless it's stated as an effect in its description, but this is the kind of thing the anime loves to show happening."
"Ah, I see, thank you for explaining Senpai."
Despite Gordi's best efforts, a few feathers managed to brush past Barbaracle's body, which caused a harsh purplish light to drag the pokemon down into a slump.
"Ah, now I see why that man was so desperate to shoot those feathers down. They physically sap the stamina of whoever it touches." Hippolyta postulated while not taking her eyes off the screen.
"If that is true then those feathers would be a rather insidious power to have in battle. That dramatic moment of weakness would be a death sentence during a battle." After all, depending on the opponent, they could see it as a favor from the gods and not pay the feathers any heed, only to regret it right afyer one of them managed to touch them.
"Oh!! And the feather dance manages to land, Barbaracle's attack was harshly lowered!! Will the sudden decrease in offense be enough for Bea to win the match?!"
"Agility!! Then close the distance and Smash it!!" Bea declared while throwing a heavy punch at the Barbacle.
"Yup, that is Kicks alright." Ritsuka said while chuckling at the command Bea had given.
"She really does like using the word 'Smash' a lot doesn't she?" Mash rhetorically asked, which made Master and a few others nod.
Once again, the duck pokemon proved its speed by becoming a blur of motion that was running in circles around the barnacle golem.
"Hunker down with Iron Defense! Then wait for my signal!!"
The barnacle pokemon nodded before it crossed its arms defensively, a move which made its body shine in a metallic sheen reminiscent of polished steel.
A burst of red energy that was reminiscent of mana burst, exploded from the pokemon
Sirfetch'd chose that moment to strike and the white blur was streaked with red.
SMASH.
CRACK.
Sirfetch'd's glowing shield rammed into the largest craggy boulder and cracked the Iron Defence protecting the pokemon.
Chips of pure metallic looking energy broke free.from the armor and fell to the ground.
"Wow, so that's how Iron defence works in real life. It's a literal armor of energy!" Romani said while taking a handful of popcorn and stuffing it in his mouth.
"Now's your chance!! Grab him!!" Gordie called out, and in an instant the pokemon grabbed the duck in its grasp, refusing to let go despite its flailing and cawing.
"Sirfetch'd!!" Bea called out to her partner in concern.
"Uh oh!! It seems like Sirfetch'd has been caught by Barbaracle! What could Gordie be planning?!!"
A wicked smile appeared on Gordie's face, "Now steam that poultry with Scald!" Gordi demanded, and he frowned as he saw the bird pokemon literally drowned in a spray of boiling water.
"Father!! What are you doing? I can't see." Altera whined as Master quickly covered her eyes.
"Sorry Altera, this part is a bit brutal." Master said which earned him a grateful nod from Boudica.
"Geez, are you sure pokemon is for kids? Hitting your enemies with boiling water is pretty messed up." Romani said while looking at the scene with a winced expression.
Cu scoffed at Romani's words and gave him a piece of his mind, "What did you expect? This is real life, not a game. Of course a move that sprays boiling water at your enemy is going to be grisly. Not that you'll hear me complain, since pouring boiling water on your enemies is an effective and practical siege defence tactic."
"Break out of its hold with Close Combat!!" Bea called out.
The duck pokemon garbled before it began to kick, peck, and headbutt the pokemon grabbing hold of it.
Barbaracle could not hold on and let go, which allowed the Sirfetch'd to unleash its complete wrath on the rock type. Unlike the previous struggle, the attack suddenly gained a more martial form as the duck pokemon was given breathing room to properly attack.
Though he did note the attack lacked leverage due to it being executed mid air, it still did a significant amount of damage to its opponent.
The combo came to an end with a shield bash that sent the rock pokemon sliding back, which allowed the Sirfetch'd to attempt an escape, but before it could blur away, it let out a cry of pain as it spontaneously went up in flames.
"Hm? Where did that fire come from?" Hippolyta asked, and to be fair, it was a great question. There were no fire attacks exchanged during this battle.
"Well, my guess is that Sirfetch'd was burned when he got hit by a scald to the face earlier. In pokemon battles, a burn is more than just damage caused by heat. It's a literal status condition that weakens the victim's attack and periodically engulfs it in fire." Master clarified, and the logic did make sense if one kept an open mind.
Hippolyta seemed to mull it over, though he could see she understood the concept,"I understand now, this burn condition is a curse of sorts. Thank you for your clarification, Master."
"No problem Hippolyta, if you feel confused again, let me know."
Gordie saw the opportunity and capitalized on it, "Use Taunt!!"
The creature's posture shifted and made a 'come here' gesture while making noises that sounded like he was actually goading the duck pokemon with an insult.
It seemed to work as the bird seemed displeased and offended by whatever words it spoke.
Bea clicked her tongue before she pointed her hand to the sky, "Retaliate with Solar Blade!!"
Sirfetch'd mimicked her trainer and raised his sword to the sky, then the pokemon began to glow with yellow energy.
"Alright, if that's how you want to play, I won't be left out! Use Meteor Beam!!"
Barbarnacle squared its shoulders and began to draw in a mysterious energy of some kind in the same manner as the Sirfetch'd's attack.
Even from across worlds, he could feel the weight of the attack, and he had to say, it was not something to scoff at.
"Um, Ritsuka, I don't think I know either of these moves, do you?" Romani asked while gesturing at the screen in confusion, but Master shook his head.
"I know the guys mentioned Excalibur and Boudica's sword blasts resembled Solar Blade but I am unsure about Meteor beam."
At the mention of Excalibur, Gareth's dog ears perked up in interest and she observed the charging attack with more scrutiny. Boudica also perked up and closely observed the glowing sword with keen interest.
Finally, after a moment of charging its energy, the leek sword erupted in a blinding flash of yellow energy that pierced the sky.
Gareth's eyebrows rose to meet her scalp in surprise. Then, they settled back down into a respectful expression that was akin to a knight acknowledging a fellow knight.
"Well what do you know, it actually does look like a mini-excalibur." Romani said while looking at the sword made of literal sunlight in awe.
"Hm, it certainly shares the appearance, but powerwise it doesn't hold a candle compared to it, still, that's an impressive display of power for a pokemon." Despite Emiya's criticism of the attack, his tone and wording still showed respect to the attack being displayed.
The solar blade reached the peak of its power before it fell on Barbaracle like a divine punishment.
Barbaracle himself had also finished powering up its attack and sent a blast of pure energy towards the bird.
The solar blade fell on Barbaracle's head, while the beam hit Sirfetch'd directly on its chest.
KABOOM.
The explosion rattled both the battlefield, and to his surprise, the seats in the theater as well, which caused a few people to let out surprised yelps.
"Da Vinci!! Did you do something to the seats?!!" Romani asked the woman, but to his dismay, she shook her head.
"Nope! This is all part of Gudao-kun's powers! That's a real shockwave we're feeling!!"
Cu Chulainn barked out a laugh. "Oh man, and here I thought I was going to fall asleep watching moving pictures on a screen, but it's been the real deal this entire time!!"
When the dust settled, both pokemon still stood on their feet, but it was obvious that the both of them were exhausted after taking those two attacks head on.
Barbaracle then groaned in pain before it fell face first into the ground, defeated.
"Barbaracle!!" Gordie cried out in concern.
The referee blew his whistle and raised his hand.
"Barbaracle is unable to battle, the first match goes to-"
In a cruel twist of fate, the burn that Sirfetch'd suffered earlier had reared its head once again and engulfed the pokemon in fire.
The pokemon cried out in pain, then when the fire snuffed itself out, Sirfetch's stood motionless, but still standing on its two feet like a true warrior.
"Double knockout! Both pokemon are unable to battle!!"
The crowd erupted in cheers from the result, while some people in the theater room actually clapped, himself included.
Honestly, it was a rather entertaining match. He could tell that despite the flashiness and the strutting these gym leaders did during their matches, they truly were professionals at commanding others.
The two leaders pointed their pokeballs at their pokemon and shot out a red light. Once the light touched their pokemon, the light converted them into energy and drew them back inside their respective pokeballs.
"That was a good first match Bae, you really had me on the ropes there."
"Hm, your fighting spirit was truly strong, but the question is… can you keep it up in the next round?"
Gordie's smug grin returned, "Oh, I can keep going all day, but I don't think it would make for good entertainment, so I hope you don't mind if I kick things up a notch and finish this battle in one go."
Heh, seeing a healthy, young rivalry never gets old.
"Trainers!! Release your last pokemon!!"
Unlike last time, Gordie did not do a backflip, instead choosing to just throw another pokeball normally.
Bea did the same, and two new pokemon took the stage.
A pokemon that looked like a muscular olympic athlete with four arms instead of two. It had a beak for a mouth and three oval crests on its head.
Its opponent, on the other hand, was a giant, bipedal golem of coal. This creature, unlike the last one, was actually living rock but the mountain of coal over its head looked like it had been ignited.
"Finally, a normal gen one pokemon! And it's a machamp too, sweet!!" Romani whooped as the camera showed the four armed creature.
"That coal pokemon is one we definitely haven't seen before." Master looked like he wanted to say more, but for some reason, he kept his peace. Was Master not fond of this particular pokemon?
"Begin!!" The referee brought his hand down, which meant the match had resumed; however, neither trainer or pokemon said anything and were just looking at each other.
Gordie smirked, but not in arrogance, rather in a "I know something you don't" way.
Bea shared the same smile.
"My momma didn't raise no boor, adies first." Gordie gestured at Bea who just accepted his mysterious offer.
"Very well, if you insist!! Let's destroy everything in an honorable Gigantimax!!" Bea pointed her pokeball at Machamp and was recalled back into its pokeball.
"What is she doing? Did she give up? Why did she recall her pokemon?" Mash asked, but no one could answer her because everyone was just as confused as she was.
That confusion quickly became realization when the wristband on Bea's hand emitted a violet-pink light that embedded itself on her pokeball.
The pokeball drank the energy and grew into a massive magenta construct. She held the ball in her hands with loving care before she threw the oversized pokeball into the sky.
The pokeball shone and he had to brace himself as a tidal wave of foreign energy slammed into him. The pokemon that had been recalled earlier had emerged from the pokeball saturated in this energy.
Then, it started to grow… and grow… and grow.
Soon the pokemon had grown large enough that it became a literal titan.
The giant crashed into the arena and let out an earth shattering roar that carried enough power that he could feel it in his bones.
The machamp now looked significantly different than before. Its arms looked like they had been forcibly expanded to comical widths for its proportions and its fists and veins were glowing a dark orange color.
It also had three peculiar dark clouds floating at its waist.
Color him surprised, he was at a loss for what he had just witnessed.
Gordie didn't look shocked or scared of the looming titan looking down at him, quite the opposite actually. He flashed another cocky smile and recalled his own pokemon just like Bea did.
"Like a giant mountain boulder! Hiyah! Gigantamax!"
Gordie threw the pokeball and the same thing happened again, except this time, his pokemon's namesake actually matched its physical size.
The pokemon became a literal colossus of burning coal.
With two of these gigantimax pokemon now having emerged, the field looked significantly smaller than before.
Gordie punched his fist forward, "Now, use G-MAX VOLCALITH!!"
The giant mountain of coal stomped its foot and a massive rock slab broke through the ground. The slab then slowly fell towards the titan sized Machamp.
"Break it with G-MAX CHI STRIKE!!"
Machamp roared and expelled a massive amount of energy. Shortly after, a massive fist fell from the sky like a comet bringing about the extinction of all life on earth
BOOM.
The arena exploded into a violent explosion of energy, which kicked up enough dust and debris to obscure the screen's view.
"Hey, is the audience going to be okay?" Master Ritsuka asked in concern.
Cu waved off his Master's concern, "Meh, I'm sure they're okay. Hey someone pass me the popcorn, shit just got really exciting!!"

AN: Guys I lied, I actually have written a pokemon battle before. I just forgot about it because it was a low level beatdown I wrote in a pokemon crossover snippet with Touhou.
It wasn't something on the higher levels, literally just a chikorita getting used as a chewtoy by a totodile.
Anyways, writing pokemon battles is tough, so I made a match happen before the main battle as both practice and also to make the exhibition match seem more like a fun event.
