"Holy gods from above! I think it was a long time before you destroyed that abomination, and I am suddenly believing that we should have left EBEE-land a long time ago," said Henry.
"If Lord Meozo sought power over our kinds, it is possible that he swallowed their essences, and new heads never were appointed," said Victoria.
"As a people, we do have a history rich in civil wars and abominations, it wouldn't be surprising," said Derek.
"So true! It's probably what happened, but we should try to find out. Maribel probably knows something about it," said Coralis.
Finnas zoomed in on the first three districts on the western side of their territory.
Coralis's holographic monitor, which looked like a coaster with a hockey team logo on it, was placed in the middle of their living room table. A few people sat, but most people stood around it, going between pizzas and drinks while listening to the announcement, which was broadcasted live.
"For our District One, in the northwestern area of our territory over here," said Finnas, pointing at a corner of the map, "we have assigned a pixie who spoke up and fought relentlessly over the years for the various elemental and non-elemental kinds of the North who couldn't speak for themselves, and helped protect several mythical creatures before they became instinct. Swillama has joined our ranks as a sub-elder, and she will now be known as High Pixie Swillama."
"Ooh, good pick!" said Sonylla.
"For our District Two, by the westernmost coast, High Elf Frizzo is the sub-elder assigned to oversee its prosperity and security," said Finnas.
"Meaning the three other elders are now sub-elders," said Coralis.
"It makes sense considering they have nine districts to assign elders to but only recruited six new ones," said Sebastian.
"I suppose we should have figured that one out," said Coralis.
"Which district are we?" said Chiwa.
"Eight."
"For our District Three, over here next to District Two and below District One, High Goblin Glorisse is the sub-elder assigned to it," said Finnas.
Ellya zoomed the map to show the three central districts.
"For our District Four, east of District Three, we have recruited a djinn who has shown strong leadership skills despite his young age and has been a tremendous help in keeping the central part united despite the challenges. Rodmoz has joined our ranks as a sub-elder, and he will now be known as High Djinn Rodmoz," said Ellya.
"Rodmoz! He is younger than me, I think, but I don't know him that well," said Coralis.
"He's decent, I worked with him a few times," said Sonylla.
"For our District Five, in the most central part of our territory, we have recruited a mage who has been loyal to us for decades, helped us train fierce warriors and has proven to be one of our greatest assets to help us navigate this war, despite being one of the Most Wanted Witches across the globe. Emery has joined our ranks as a sub-elder, and he will now be known as High Mage Emery," said Ellya.
"In this war, if you become known as a Most Wanted Witch, you know you've been continually pissing on the right people. Much respect for Emery," said Henry.
"Cheers to that!" said Derek.
"For our District Six, the centre of the north, High Djinn Moraa is the sub-elder assigned to it," said Ellya before Yalor zoomed in on the last three districts.
"Do we know who's been assigned to Seven and Nine?" said Chiwa.
"You probably do, at least by name," said Coralis.
"For our District Seven, East of District Six, we have recruited a fay who has been a tremendous help uniting the northern communities to our cause and swayed folks who were thought to be mortal enemies into allies. His relentlessness in standing up against our true enemies has recently made him known as a Most Wanted Witch. Roz will join our ranks as a sub-elder, and he will now be known as High Fay Roz," said Yalor.
"I went to school with him, he is not that much older than us," said Sebastian.
"They told her age was irrelevant," said Frank.
"His mate is human, his situation is not that different from ours," said Coralis.
"For our District Eight, a hotspot of communities that have been neglected over the years, over here by the eastern border of the district Five, we have recruited a mage who has consistently been one of our most trusted allies and whose influence reaches far beyond the sports field. Her ferociousness and tenaciousness when standing against our true enemies have thrown her into this war long before it started and made her known globally as a Most Wanted Witch since the beginning of the hunt. Blue Thunder will join our ranks as a sub-elder, and she will now be known as High Mage Blue Thunder," said Yalor.
"It's official now," said Samantha.
"Girl, didn't I tell you how our elders were now taking instructions and plans from you? Me thinking that they were considering you as such when they accepted plans from you from witchy jail and even kicked Tobly from the post-jailbreak meeting," said Sonylla.
"Agreed… I remember when she passed through the portal, and the elders dismissed Tobly over her threats to leave without talking to them," said Sebastian.
"I can't forget that, that was gold. We said it, that night, we witnessed history," said Sonylla.
"Passing plans from jail, that's badass," said Mark.
"Those plans pissed off our enemies so bad that it got our London flat burned to the ground. That was beyond epic," said Henry.
"For real," said Raymond.
"For our District Nine, by the easternmost coast of our territory, we have recruited a fay who has been one of our strongest educators, teaching our ways to younger generations while being a reliable voice to the unheard. Ligyo will join our ranks as a sub-elder, and he will now be known as High Fay Ligyo," said Yalor.
"Ligyo? Is he still a teacher at NLEI?" said Sebastian.
"Not exactly. He had one class during the last school year, teaching elemental origins, but he spent most of his time the last few years reaching out to clans and families who live isolated from the rest of us before the radical nasties get to them. He was supposed to become an assistant administrator there when the war and hunt would end, but it appears that plans have changed," said Coralis.
"Over the next few days, your sub-elders will establish their crews to assist them and their headquarters. When they are ready, we will visit each of them to attach their headquarters to the map and them to you. Stay tuned, when they are set, your sub-elders will reach out to you for what's next," said Finnas before the broadcast ended.
