Sebastian followed.
"What's going on?" said Sebastian in a private mind-link.
She didn't respond. He tried to keep up with her but struggled, and heavy rain started to pound on them. The closer he got to her, the rawer the energy he felt from her was.
Emery returned to the meeting room and called Sebastian from there.
"What's up with you two?" said Emery from above Sebastian's hologram.
"I don't know yet, she isn't responding, and I can't get close to her. Is Sonylla okay in there?"
"Yeah, Sonylla said that Blue mind-linked her a few minutes ago, asking what was going on. I think it was just before she took off."
Sebastian tried again to mind-link her, pushing harder this time.
"It's Frank," said Coralis before blocking all of her mind-links to focus on the bond linking her to Frank.
"Holy gods from above, it's her mate. No wonder her energy is going haywire right now, and I'm struggling to keep up with her," said Sebastian as thunder could be heard.
"Where are you heading?" said High Mage Finnas from the background.
Eva pulled up her phone and called the bar they were supposed to meet at after the meeting.
"I have no idea," said Sebastian before checking the coordinates on his hologram. "We're heading northwest."
"I can't call the shifter bar he was supposed to be with his guard. The line has been disconnected," said Eva.
"Something must have happened there," said High Elf Yalor.
"Sebastian Larameer, you can keep up with her because of your flyball background. If we dispatch agents, they won't be able to catch up to you two. When you arrive at your destination, open a portal for us, and we will send you a crew. We don't know what happened, but there is a good chance that more people have been taken, and we don't know what you will be walking into," said High Mage Finnas.
"Understood."
"Blue Thunder could be walking into a trap, she should have warned us before leaving," said High Fay Ellya.
"She isn't answering me," said Sonylla.
"She can't be leaving an important meeting like that. You need to get ahead of her and stop her from going further. She needs to be disciplined once everything gets sorted out," said General Tobly.
"Is he serious? Her mate is in danger, and she doesn't even work for us! No offence, but I would have done the same had it been mine," said Sebastian.
"I would also have done the same thing as Blue if it'd been mine. If she's tracking her mate who's in danger, she'll kill Sebastian if he tries to stop her," said Emery.
"Sebastian Larameer, ignore Tobly. Focus on following Blue Thunder to where she's heading," said High Mage Finnas.
Sebastian ended his holographic communication with Emery and called Stephanie. Because of the lack of a cell phone signal in the area, he pushed the call onto his hologram in satellite mode.
"I can't talk long, I'm pursuing Blue at high speed, and I can't lose focus. It's a real struggle to keep up with her right now."
"What happened?"
"I don't know yet, but I think Frank is in danger. He seems to have been kidnapped and taken somewhere in northern Saskatchewan or further North-West."
"WHAT??"
"I'll call you back later, but don't worry about it. I just wanted to let you know before you hear something. I'm sure Blue will get to him before the worst happens to him. Trust me, it's like someone turned on a switch to her kill mode, I can't even get close to her."
Twenty-five minutes later, hearing thunder from afar, Tanner looked through a small window.
"We're about to get a storm."
Aaron got up and went to the small window by his cell.
"Someone's coming."
"Frank, your mate is here," said Liam, smiling from where he sat on the ground.
Frank went to the window to look outside.
"We see why she was nicknamed Blue Thunder."
They saw guards taking off on their sticks to go to her when she was close.
While Coralis fought and killed the guards in the air, Sebastian landed away from the fight. He didn't want the guards to see him opening a portal.
"Damn, they're outmatched against her, she killed them like bugs," said Aaron.
Coralis quickly killed the five guards who came at her and landed by the building's doors while Sebastian opened a portal. She entered into a large open room while Emery, Eva and Zahir passed through the portal. Two elders also passed through, and Sebastian closed it behind them as the elders sent their coordinates to those who stayed behind.
"Agent Zahir Bota, connect your hologram to mine. Agent Eva Suri, connect yours to the fixed one in the meeting room before going in with Zahir. If you need backup, we will dispatch more agents," said High Goblin Glorisse, looking at the dead guards on the ground.
"I'll search for where they keep their prisoners while Blue is busy killing everyone in there. Don't get too close to her, she isn't in control," said Sebastian.
"If there are more people held captive, I'll request transports," said High Elf Frizzo.
"I'll go with Sebastian. I'll let you know if we find other people held captive," said Emery.
While Coralis fought her way through guards, attracting more as she went, Sebastian and Emery entered the building behind Eva and Zahir. They quickly spotted a metal staircase going upward, leading to what they thought was their cell area. Sebastian and Emery tried to walk to it without being noticed while the guards were all distracted by the commotion in the middle of their compound.
Eva and Zahir fought with two guards coming from a hallway next to the main door and then tried to get closer to Coralis. They couldn't. The energy coming from her was too raw and fizzy, so they stood guard behind her and fought another guard coming from a hallway by the entryway.
Coralis was enraged and none of the guards could get close enough to hurt or restrain her. She was only supposed to have a meeting that day, so she didn't have any weapon on her. She used her wand to kill the guards outside by passing a laser beam through their necks. She did the same with the guards inside the building until her wand burned out.
Waving her left hand as if she were wielding a sword, she turned the energy coming out of it into a laser beam and sliced the neck of the guards coming at her in one direction while she stopped the hearts of those who came at her from the other direction with electricity coming out of her other hand.
Sebastian and Emery made it to the metal staircase and looked up to check for guards. Sebastian stopped Emery from going up.
"Wait," whispered Sebastian as he saw Coralis killing the last guard near her while Eva and Zahir were fighting another one by the entryway. "Look up to your right, there are two guards by the landing above."
