At that moment, as Fu Zhu frantically searched his mind for a countermeasure, he suddenly recalled a detail he had previously overlooked.
He didn't know if the Ender Dragon was intentionally reminding him, but it had mentioned multiple times that its power came from him.
If that was true, then the source of the Ender Dragon's power pointed to the mods he possessed!
So, what would happen if he uninstalled all the mods he currently had?
With this thought, Fu Zhu immediately took action. He opened his system, called up the MOD database, selected the [Apotheosis MOD] which had the most direct impact on mob strength, and uninstalled it.
[Apotheosis MOD has been uninstalled.]
As the system notification popped up, Fu Zhu immediately looked up at the health bar of the Ender Dragon that was still attacking him.
The "Legendary" affix that had been displayed on the Ender Dragon's health bar vanished instantly. Along with it disappeared the various enhancements the Apotheosis mod had granted it. Similarly, all the equipment on Fu Zhu that bore Apotheosis affixes vanished as well.
However, he didn't rely much on the enhancements from the Apotheosis mod anyway, using it more for the additional functions it gave his tools. So, uninstalling the mod didn't have a major impact on him.
The Ender Dragon was the first to feel the power draining from its body. It stopped its attack and turned to stare at Fu Zhu.
"You finally understand, but you are still no match for me."
---o---
"Is that so?"
Of course, Fu Zhu wasn't going to take the Ender Dragon's word for it. Whether it could be beaten or not could only be determined by a trial.
The command block he had placed earlier was still executing the clear command he had written. The Ender Dragon was continuously being killed by the command, but it kept reviving just as before.
Removing the Apotheosis mod had reduced the Ender Dragon's strength, but it didn't seem to be the source of its endless revivals.
Fu Zhu immediately put distance between himself and the Ender Dragon and began uninstalling the rest of his MODs.
[JourneyMap MOD uninstalled, Just Enough Items (JEI) MOD uninstalled, SlashBlade MOD uninstalled…]
Fu Zhu uninstalled every single mod except for the Amphoreus mod in one go. All of his non-vanilla equipment vanished, including the Yamato he had forged numerous times.
He didn't feel too bad about it, though. Mods could be reinstalled, and everything could be crafted anew. But if this world was truly destroyed by the Ender Dragon, then it would be gone for good.
Fu Zhu looked up at the Ender Dragon, which was still constantly reviving, and frowned deeply.
The Ender Dragon was now countless times weaker than before, yet it could still keep coming back.
Fu Zhu hesitated for a moment, then teleported away from Amphoreus. The next second, he appeared on a small, stealthed ship that was secretly observing the situation.
Aboard the ship, Kafka, Silver Wolf, Blade, and Firefly were watching the events on Amphoreus unfold on a screen. When they witnessed Fu Zhu suddenly disappear, Kafka almost subconsciously raised her gun and aimed behind her.
Behind her, Fu Zhu was striding over. A simple glance was enough to issue a command that froze Kafka in place.
Blade was about to draw his sword, but Fu Zhu didn't even look at him. He said, "I'm not here to fight you. Stay quiet and on the side. I'm sure you don't want to see Stelle and the entire galaxy destroyed, do you?"
At his words, Blade's hand, which was gripping the hilt of his sword, froze. Finally, with a helpless sigh, he released his grip and allowed Fu Zhu to walk towards the black cat sitting by the window.
Fu Zhu walked over, grabbed Elio by the scruff of his neck, and lifted him up to face him.
"Elio, tell me, will the thing I'm about to do have a good ending?"
Elio's originally amber eyes instantly shifted to a sky blue. His voice then sounded in Fu Zhu's mind.
'I told you before, if I tell you the future in detail, then it will not happen. Since you have already made a decision in your heart, why not act according to your own thoughts?'
Fu Zhu fell silent. He was now planning to uninstall the Amphoreus mod as well.
But doing so meant he would temporarily lose Creative Mode. Of course, he didn't rely on it.
He had cleared countless modpacks in the past without Creative Mode. No matter how difficult the modpack, Steve always had a way.
What Fu Zhu was worried about was that, having lost Creative Mode now, he would be unable to protect the others.
Elio saw the hesitation in Fu Zhu's eyes. After a moment of silence, he spoke again.
'Steve never hesitates. No matter what difficulties you encounter, you always have a way to turn things around, don't you?'
Hearing this, Fu Zhu put Elio down. Elio, freed from his grasp, leaped back onto the windowsill, squatted down to lick his paw, and squinted at Fu Zhu.
"Is there anything else you want to ask?"
Fu Zhu shook his head, then raised an eyebrow and pointed a finger at Elio's glossy black fur.
"You left one thing out. Steve holds a grudge. If I fail, I'm dyeing all your fur white!"
Elio's cat face stiffened, and he shot Fu Zhu an annoyed glare.
Fu Zhu chuckled, then vanished once more, reappearing back on Amphoreus.
However, after returning, he didn't immediately move to uninstall the mod. Instead, he sought out Cyrene and Mem, who had been placed off to the side by the Chrysos Heirs because they weren't skilled in combat.
"Cyrene, Mem, there's something I need to tell you."
Fu Zhu looked at the two, hesitating, unsure how to tell them that to defeat the Ender Dragon, the Chrysos Heirs and the entire world of Amphoreus would have to disappear.
Uninstalling a mod would cause everything from that mod to vanish. Fu Zhu had no doubt that uninstalling the Amphoreus mod would be equivalent to directly deleting the Amphoreus save file.
Seeing the hesitation on Fu Zhu's face, Cyrene took the initiative to walk forward, smiling as she waved. "Can you squat down? You're too tall."
Fu Zhu was puzzled, but he did as Cyrene asked and half-squatted. Cyrene then suddenly stepped forward, pressed her forehead against his, and hugged him.
This sudden embrace caught Fu Zhu completely off guard.
"Cyrene?"
"I told you, you're the savior we've waited so long for. It's just a matter of waiting for you to find us again. It's a trivial price to pay. Go on and do it. We'll be waiting for you to find us."
At this time, the other Chrysos Heirs had also gathered. They had destroyed the End Crystals countless times earlier, but the crystals kept respawning, so they knew their actions were having no effect and simply came back.
Aglaea and the others had also overheard the conversation between the two. Although they didn't know what Fu Zhu was planning to do next, they all wore smiles as they looked at him.
"Go on and do it, Fu Zhu."
