Cole was irritated by that boy. Why was he shouting for no reason?
In an instant, he teleported after Mew. He still had important matters to discuss with that flying cat!
Mew soared through the air, quickly vanishing into the forest with Cole following closely behind.
The boy called Goh who had been chasing them lost track of Mew. He and the girl could only wander aimlessly through the forest, like headless flies.
By a small stream in the forest, a Kangaskhan mother was bathing with her baby and a Pichu.
The baby Kangaskhan and Pichu played cheerfully in the water, their light laughter echoing through the forest. The Kangaskhan mother watched them with a loving expression.
After bathing, the Kangaskhan mother returned to her group to search for food with the others. Before leaving, she instructed the baby Kangaskhan and Pichu to stay and play by the stream, warning them not to wander off.
The Kangaskhan group fortunately encountered a group of Chansey, who kindly shared their eggs, saving them the trouble of foraging.
When the Kangaskhan mother happily returned with a Chansey egg, she was shocked to find the baby Kangaskhan missing. She quickly questioned Pichu about its whereabouts.
Pichu shook its head, confused — wasn't the baby just behind him a moment ago?
The Kangaskhan mother and Pichu began searching anxiously.
Meanwhile, the baby Kangaskhan had been lured by Mew and was chasing after it playfully. Without realizing the danger, the baby had wandered to the edge of a cliff and was dancing around carelessly.
When the Kangaskhan mother and Pichu found the baby, they witnessed this perilous scene and cried out in terror.
Their cries caught the attention of both Mew, who was about to leave, and Cole, who had been pursuing it.
Suddenly, the rocks beneath the baby Kangaskhan's feet crumbled under its weight, and the baby plummeted from the cliff along with the debris.
"Khan!!!"
"Pi~Pipichu!!!"
The Kangaskhan mother and Pichu cried out in terror.
Cole teleported to the bottom of the cliff and tried to catch the baby Kangaskhan with his Psychic Power. Mew did the same. Both human and Pokémon converged at the cliff's base.
Cole: ( •_•)
Mew: ( •_•)
Uncomfortable with close human contact, Mew instinctively tried to flee, but Cole quickly called out to stop it.
"Wait, Mew!"
Mew, surprisingly obedient, stopped at the sound of his voice.
"I have something I'd like to discuss with you. Could you spare me a moment?" As Cole spoke, he released his Psychic Power, hoping Mew would sense his good intentions.
Though Mew had initially wanted to flee, it suddenly sensed Celebi's aura within Cole's Psychic Power and couldn't help but fly to his side.
"Mew?" — Who are you?
It tilted its little head curiously.
Cole introduced himself, "My name is Cole Sage."
Meanwhile, he used his Psychic Power to bring the baby Kangaskhan safely into his arms.
Only when held by Cole did the baby Kangaskhan's panic subside, though it still nestled tearfully in his arms, not daring to move.
"Mew~" — I sense Celebi's aura on you.
Cole realized why Mew had stayed so obediently, "I met a Gardevoir in Viridian Forest..."
He told Mew about his encounter with the Gardevoir in Viridian Forest.
"Mew~" — So it was her!
Mew recognized the Gardevoir Cole mentioned from what Celebi had told it, though it had never met her personally.
"Mew?" — What did you want to see me about?
Having sensed Cole's connection with Celebi, Mew had lowered its guard around him.
"Can we go down to talk? The Kangaskhan mother is worried!" Cole said.
Mew nodded and followed Cole toward where the Kangaskhan mother waited anxiously.
Cole gently placed the baby Kangaskhan on the ground. The little one immediately ran excitedly to its mother, then tearfully embraced Pichu.
"Khan~"
"Pichu~"
The two little ones, holding hands, bowed gratefully to Cole and Mew.
Just then, Cole heard voices approaching from nearby.
"Where did it go? It should be around here!"
"Goh, let's go back. Dr. Oak will worry if he can't find us."
"I must find that Pokémon and catch it! A Pokémon I've never seen before — just thinking about it makes me excited."
"Stop talking nonsense. Let's go back."
…
Cole quickly said to Mew, "Someone's coming. Let's find another place to talk!"
Mew nodded, and in the next second, it and Cole teleported away with the Kangaskhan mother, baby, and Pichu.
By the time Goh and Chloe arrived, Mew was long gone.

At the Kangaskhan group's dwelling place, the Kangaskhan mother welcomed Cole and Mew into a spacious cave.
The Kangaskhan mother tried to offer Cole a Chansey egg as thanks, but he politely declined. He understood that wild Pokémon struggled to find food, often alternating between hunger and satisfaction. He couldn't take their precious provisions.
Instead, Cole shared his own berries with the Kangaskhan family.
Little did he know that the Pichu before him would someday become Ash's Pikachu.
The baby Kangaskhan and Pichu displayed excellent manners, waiting for the Kangaskhan mother's permission before accepting Cole's berries. Once approved, they happily devoured the treats.
With the little ones occupied, Cole turned to serious matters with Mew. He had sought out the legendary Pokémon specifically because of Team Rocket.
He was strategically establishing connections everywhere. If his plans succeeded, he might not even need to confront Team Rocket directly — the groundwork he laid could eliminate them for him!
Cole explained to Mew about Team Rocket's potential to devastate the world in the future and asked for its help.
Based on the current timeline, Team Rocket might already be creating Mewtwo. Cole hoped that when the time came, Mew could locate Mewtwo, quietly rescue it, and guide the newly born Pokémon. This would prevent Mewtwo from developing cynicism about its origins or becoming Team Rocket's instrument for global destruction.
Cole wasn't certain if this Mew was the same one that battled Mewtwo on New Island in the movie, but since that Mew could find Mewtwo, perhaps this one could too.
More likely, they were the same Mew — after all, there weren't many Mew left in the world.
After hearing Cole's explanation, Mew's expression instantly shifted from playful to serious. It nodded in agreement, promising to try its best to find Mewtwo. Since Mewtwo contained its genes, Mew explained it should be able to sense its clone easily.
Mew didn't doubt Cole's words — its powerful Psychic abilities could easily detect whether someone was lying.
"Mew Mew" — Let's establish a psychic marker between us. When I complete the task, I'll notify you.
"Psychic marker? How do we do that?" Cole asked, confused.
"Mew~"
Mew gestured for him to extend his hand, then placed its small paw against his palm. Its paw was tiny, soft, and pleasant to touch.
A purple light began to glow around them as their Psychic Energies merged together.
After a moment, Cole realized he could vaguely sense Mew's location. Similarly, Mew could detect Cole's position through their shared Psychic Energy.
However, since Mew's Psychic Power far exceeded Cole's, its ability to locate him was much clearer.
"Mew~" — There, that's it.
After establishing the psychic marker, Mew withdrew its paw, leaving Cole feeling slightly disappointed.
Kitty is so cute — want to pet!
Cole nodded, "Alright, Mew, I'm counting on you for the Mewtwo situation!"
"Mew~" — Don't worry, leave it to me!
Mew nodded confidently. Though naturally playful and mischievous, when faced with potential world destruction, its attitude became serious and focused.
Just as Mew was about to leave, it suddenly seemed to remember something. It extended its right hand, which began to glow with a soft white light, and a brown seed appeared in its palm.
The seed was much larger than Mew's fist, forcing it to quickly hug the seed to prevent it from falling.
"Mew~" — This is for you, I hope you become stronger soon!
After placing the seed in Cole's hands, Mew vanished instantly.
Cole was delighted; establishing a connection with Mew marked another significant step in his mission to save the world. Today had been incredibly fortunate!
Looking down at the seed, he immediately recognized it as a Sitrus Berry seed. Having studied berries for many years, he was familiar with the appearance of various berry trees and their seeds.
Cole thought: Since Mew gave me this seed, it must be extraordinary.
When he directed his Special Ability energy into the Sitrus Berry seed, he was thrilled to discover the energy within was incredibly abundant — already at S-class level.
What a double surprise!
This meant that once Cole planted this seed, he would soon have an S-class berry tree.
At the same time, a hint of confusion surfaced in his mind.
The energy rating of berry trees typically either accumulated over time or was enhanced through special cultivation. But even with special methods, it would still take considerable time for a berry tree to reach S-class.
For example, the berry trees in his garden would eventually transform into S-class trees under the nourishment of his Special Ability — of this he was certain.
But he had been cultivating them for several years, and even advancing trees to A-class required substantial time, let alone S-class. Cole hadn't personally cultivated a single S-class berry tree yet.
This seed hadn't even sprouted, nor had it undergone any cultivation. How had its energy rating reached S-class?
This left Cole completely puzzled.
After pondering for a while and examining the seed multiple times with his Special Ability, he still couldn't find the reason and had to set the matter aside.
After inputting Psychic Energy into the pendant hanging around his neck, a vortex appeared before Cole. He stepped through it and entered the Reverse World.
In the small building within the Reverse World, he found a pot, filled it with water, added some medicinal powder, and placed the S-class Sitrus Berry seed in it to soak. This would make it easier for the seed to germinate.
Cole planned to plant the S-class Sitrus Berry tree in the Reverse World. There was only one Pecha Berry tree here, which must be lonely and in need of a companion.
With a Starf Berry tree, a Pecha Berry tree, and now a Sitrus Berry tree, Cole would have three S-class berry trees. Even large organizations probably wouldn't be so wealthy!
"Hahaha hahaha" He couldn't help but laugh, his almost maniacal laughter echoing throughout the Reverse World.
If anyone had been there, they would surely have thought him insane.
Upon leaving the Reverse World, Cole saw the Kangaskhan mother and her children searching for him throughout the cave, which made him laugh again.
When the Kangaskhan family saw him suddenly appear, they gathered around him, examining him curiously.
However, Cole didn't explain anything to them and instead bade them farewell. Before leaving, he left a jar of Pokéblocks for the Kangaskhan family — enough to last them for quite some time.
Leaving the Kangaskhan's cave, Cole used Teleport to exit the forest.

When Cole returned to the lakeside, Brionne had finished singing and the Pokémon audience had dispersed.
Seeing him, Brionne happily bounded to his side. He patted its head and said, "Thanks for your hard work!"
He then returned it to its Poké Ball.
Just as Cole was about to head back to submit his report, Professor Oak emerged from the forest with Goh and Chloe.
"Professor?" Cole called out, surprised.
"Cole? What are you doing here?" Professor Oak asked with equal surprise.
"I'm here for today's outdoor activity — writing an observation report." Cole answered.
"Oh, I see. Well, good luck with that!"
Professor Oak prepared to leave with Goh and Chloe. He had many children to look after and couldn't linger to chat, especially after spending so much time searching for these two.
Before they left, Cole called out, "Professor, I have something I'd like to discuss with you. May I come find you after the activity is over?"
The professor nodded readily, "Of course! Feel free to come by — I'll be waiting for you at the research institute!"
After they parted ways, Cole returned to his teacher to submit his report. Daniel and the others had already finished submitting theirs.
Seeing him return, Daniel asked with confusion, "Where did you go? I looked everywhere for you!"
"I went somewhere quiet, of course." Cole replied, "And I made an unexpected discovery."
"What discovery?"
Daniel asked, completely puzzled as Cole looked at him with a strange expression.
"I saw a Jynx!"
Hearing this, Daniel's eyes instantly lit up like light bulbs.
"Really? Where? Tell me quickly!"
