Chapter 103 - The Fourteenth Summoning! Zeus' Bastard? The Broken God!

"Adam," she said, lifting her head once more.

"This will work. From here, I can see the end of everything."

"That's good," he replied, voice hoarse.

"It's been a long time since I've heard good news."

His knees buckled.

His skull felt like it was splitting open.

She knelt beside him, taking his hand.

"Adam, listen. What lies beyond is... different. I've glimpsed it before, but I've never reached it. I don't know what it will be like, but I know I won't be human anymore. I'm not real now. I can't come back. I love you."

A searing, bone-deep sensation crawled through Adam's brain, like cellular automata crackling to life.

"I know," he whispered.

"It's okay. There's no one left to come back to anyway. It was good to see you. I love you."

Step back.

She released him and stood.

Stretched what might have been wings.

The launch window opened.

First came something like "ignition."

Then—

Wheeler's perspective shifted.

Everything seemed to shrink.

And she began to ascend.

The part of SCP-3125 that could communicate had already had its brain blown out.

There was nothing left to reason with.

No taunts.

No grand speeches.

It was topologically vast, its structure incomprehensible to human minds.

It came from a realm where ideas existed beyond human scale.

Its twisted, self-consistent evil was so profound that merely understanding it was harmful.

Her perspective kept changing as she rose—

No longer human, she saw through her opponent.

Understood, instinctively, its structure, its weaknesses, and how to strike them.

It turned to face her.

When they met, what followed wasn't a battle—

More like mathematics.

An equation solved after agonizingly long calculation.

A blizzard of canceled terms.

Before the blinding light, SCP-3125's vast structure—from thought to meaningful existence—was disproven.

In the new context brought by the light, it was nothing but outdated triviality.

It folded inward, limbs and sub-limbs vanishing in flashes.

Its grip on the world loosened entirely.

Mathematics was a good thing.

Everything unfolded exactly as Hughes had modeled in the vault, using memetic fluid dynamics equations refined over thousands of processor-years.

After the last finger-limb vanished, all that remained was a furious red/green eye.

The abstraction of the Foundation/Wheeler/protection pierced it, clean through.

Colorless shockwaves radiated outward—

One last silent negation—

And then, only bright vacuum remained.

What survived the collision was balance.

A single wild photon, escaping the deepest boundary of ideational space, never to return.

[MISSION COMPLETE]

As the announcement echoed across the multiverse, countless viewers snapped out of their daze.

Over?

Just like that?

Site-0.

Chu Yun stared blankly at the screen, a hollow ache in his chest.

He hadn't expected SCP-3125 to end this way.

Hadn't expected the Anti-Memetics Division—long forgotten—to be its executioner.

But it was inevitable.

No one else could have done it.

Not Feng Bujue, not the strongest warriors from other universes—

Because they lacked the right idea.

But now—

The mission was over.

Not completed.

Because SCP-3125 wasn't neutralized by an agent.

It was the Anti-Memetics Division's doing.

And so—

No rewards this time.

No time for reflection, either.

Because the Thirteenth Summoning was already beginning.

[Thirteenth Summoning initiated. Random universe selection in progress.]

[Ding! Selection complete!]

[Selected Universe: God of War Universe]

[Summoned Agent: Kratos]

The moment the announcement landed, the chat group stilled.

Another solo summoning?

God of War Universe.

A parallel version of Greek mythology, heavily altered.

Here, Zeus descended and sired a demigod son—

Kratos.

A birthright that cursed him with unimaginable suffering and betrayal.

The gods toyed with him and his brother for sport.

Gambled with his wife and daughter's lives.

Even his father, Zeus, treated him like livestock.

After witnessing the gods' depravity, Kratos cut a bloody path through Olympus.

Most of the pantheon lay dead by his hand.

Zeus himself was annihilated beyond resurrection.

In the end, a broken Kratos took his son to Jötunheim, scattering his second wife's ashes atop its highest peak.

And now—

He had been summoned.

The Realm Between Realms – Brok's Forge

The dwarf Sindri, now the lone survivor of his brotherhood, scowled at the screen.

The name dredged up old bitterness.

"Damn it. Why him?"

The Endless Ocean

The World Serpent, Jörmungandr, slowly opened its eyes.

The name on the screen summoned an image of the god-killer—

A man who, like itself, despised the divine.

"Good luck, Kratos."

Site Interior

Kratos surveyed his surroundings, eyes narrowing.

After slaughtering the gods and fulfilling his second wife's dying wish—

Scattering her ashes atop the highest peak in all the Nine Realms—

All he wanted now was to raise his son, Atreus, in peace.

But he would never shy from war when called.

He had watched all the previous summonings.

Many of the entities shown would give even him pause.

But he was the God of War.

Fear had no place in his heart.

Even if the enemy was a Supreme Deity, he would not falter.

Yet, something gave him pause.

Among the veteran agents, one figure stared at him in shock.

Zeus.

The Olympian swore he sensed his own blood in Kratos.

The man was his son.

But how?

He'd sired countless bastards—sometimes even with livestock when the mood struck—

But he had no memory of this one.

Had he been that drunk?

Meanwhile, the Thirteenth Summoning reached its conclusion.

The solemn voice boomed once more:

[Summoning complete. Containment task begins.]

[Target anomaly: The Broken God]

The Broken God?

The BROKEN GOD?!

The chat group exploded.

"WTF?! A literal GOD this time?!"

"First time the name includes 'God'!"

"Is the Broken God divine? Or something beyond—a Supreme Deity?!"

"Damn. Solo summonings don't mess around!"

The multiverse buzzed with speculation.

"Told you solo summons are bad news," Deadpool crowed. "Last guy got sent home without even seeing the real enemy. Now they're throwing gods at us!"

"So this guy's strong, huh?" Zhang Chulan asked.

Noticing Zeus' strained expression, he added, "Zeus, you know him?"

"You will address me as 'Lord Zeus,' mortal!" Lightning crackled in the god-king's eyes.

Zhang Chulan flinched—

Then caught himself.

Since when did he cower before gods?

He'd faced worse back home!

"Speak plainly," he shot back.

"Ooooh, spicy!" Deadpool cheered.

Zeus' face darkened—

But before he could retort, the screen updated.

[Object Class: The Broken God]

[Designation: SCP-001 (Kaktus Proposal)]

[Threat Level: Maksur]

The crowd stilled.

"Another 001?" Kamijou Touma muttered.

There had been two prior 001 proposals—

The Gate Guardian and Mary Nakayama.

Both were apocalypses given form, even among Supreme Deities.

"If it's a proposal, multiple versions make sense," Zhang Chulan offered.

"I disagree," Jinx interjected, unusually serious. "Multiple proposals likely exist to obscure the true SCP-001."

The group exchanged uneasy glances.

Then—more text appeared.

[Special Containment Procedures: Information linking related anomalies to SCP-001 is to be expunged from all files. Connections to the Church of the Broken God may remain, but origins must be obscured or redacted.]

[Non-active components of SCP-001 are to remain in situ. All maritime activity in their vicinity is prohibited. Civilian awareness is to be suppressed via amnestics.]

[Church of the Broken God personnel attempting to locate SCP-001 components are to be detained and interrogated. All SCP-001-related data—physical or digital—is to be confiscated.]

Marvel Universe – S.H.I.E.L.D.

Nick Fury's brow furrowed.

Memory suppression?

Active suppression of civilian knowledge?

And now a religious group was involved?

"Church of the Broken God..."

His gut warned him—

Nothing involving cults ever ended well.

[SCP-001's inactive components are expected to remain dormant.]

[However, should SCP-001 exhibit spontaneous reactivation, all Mobile Task Forces near Sites 27, 44, 90, and 101 are to mobilize for re-containment.]

[Should this event (currently classified as 001-Ascension) occur in the modern era, current information suppression protocols will be insufficient.]

[001-Ascension will likely result in an SK-Class "Broken Veil" scenario, followed by an XK-Class "End of the World" scenario.]

[Under no circumstances are active SCP-001 components to approach dormant ones within 20km.]

(SK-Class scenarios automatically trigger backup of all sensitive Foundation data to "Deep Well" sites (currently 117, 118, and 119) maximum-security servers.)

The multiverse reeled.

XK-Class "End of the World" was almost mundane by now.

They'd seen XK, ZK, CK, and MK scenarios already.

At this point, anomalies that didn't cause K-Class events were the real oddities.

What shocked viewers was—

The Broken God was linked to multiple SCPs.

Were they... its parts?

[Description: SCP-001 is a collection of anomalous objects that were once assembled into a single massive mechanical entity by the Church of the Broken God in La Paz, Mexico, circa late 1942. These objects include components from SCP-217, SCP-1139, SCP-882, and SCP-629.]

Honkai Star Rail Universe – Herta Space Station

"Parts?"

Herta's smirk faded.

Was this "god" some kind of machine?

Then—

The next lines made her blood run cold.
