"What, seriously?" — a voice sounded from above, cutting through the light noise of the night. — "I wonder… even who the second reward is for…"
"Shouldn't you be sleeping?" — commented the man, comically fainting.
"And you… regarding the sleeping potion you tried to slip in?" — a low whisper came from a silhouette slowly approaching the roof of the house.
"What are you standing there for? Finish him off!" — shouted the mayor's wife. Her voice echoed through the streets, and the crowd, which had been quietly seated until then, immediately poured onto the street, ready to act.
And suddenly, he stepped out of the shadows: a blonde in a black hat, with a pipe in his hands.
"Well, you try!" — he said calmly, leaning on the pipe like a staff. His confident stance and slight smirk immediately drew the attention of everyone preparing to attack.
The crowd froze. A few daredevils stepped forward, but Sabo unexpectedly swung the pipe, and the clang echoed through the street. One of the bold ones flew sideways from the pipe.
"Ha!" — Sabo laughed. — "You guys are clearly overestimating your chances."
The crowd, which initially numbered around a hundred people, stretched across the entire width of the street.
The first brave soul lunged forward with a club, counting on surprise. Sabo merely tilted slightly to the side and struck the ground with the pipe. From the sound and sudden movement, several people stumbled, and some even flew backward, almost colliding with each other.
"One…" — he muttered to himself, but his eyes shone with excitement.
The second thief tried to attack from the side, and Sabo instantly jumped, striking the pipe in the air as if fighting an invisible opponent. The metallic clang spread through the street, and the crowd froze again.
"One hundred people, and not a single one knows where to start!" — Sabo said with a grin, twirling the pipe in his hands like a sword.
"Hey, captain, are we really not going to do anything?" — a female voice called from the side.
I lifted my head, scanning the street, where a few flickering torches cast vague shadows.
"Let's see how things develop further," — I replied calmly, leaning slightly.
Short info section
The chapter is short; I've been feeling a bit under the weather — I can't write properly. You can share your ideas about how the story could develop and which arcs you'd like to see, for example, parts of the movies that Bellamy's crew might go through.
Here's a brief clarification of the characters' strength levels at this stage. For convenience, I'll compare them to the Mugiwara crew.
At the time of the current arc, the team's power levels were as follows:
• Bellamy's strength level is roughly equivalent to Luffy's during the Whiskey Peak arc, maybe slightly higher — due to the spring force he can generate.
• Sabo vs. Zoro — evenly matched.
• Jin and Sanji — approximately on the same level.
• Karina would lose to Nami. The Clima-Tact does its job.
• Van Auger would easily defeat Usopp.
