Chapter 518 – Are you not?
"Argh."
Luminara groaned, feeling the kind of headache that came with a hammer pounding relentlessly on the skull.
Her eyes were closed, yet she could sense herself writhing on the ground like a snake trying to shake off the last of its dead skin.
She kept at it for a long while, trying and trying and trying again to get a feel for the new body she had. But not only that, she also needed to grow accustomed to her own existence again.
Thankfully, her years of living and her deep understanding of who she was at her core made the process far shorter than it should have been.
Her eyes flickered wide open.
Gone were the purple irises. In their place were deep yellow eyes, so bright it felt like light bled through the air wherever her gaze landed, pupils slit and sharp.
She felt the difference immediately. Her sight was keener. Gingerly, Luminara pressed both palms flat against the solid crimson cloud beneath her and pushed herself up.
