Chapter 134 - Soul

At the same time, media reports and headlines were going crazy.

"The Death Judge strikes again. Two people died on the spot. Their deaths were tragic!"

"The entire incident was broadcast live on all the country's TV channels, a bloody and shocking scene. Some viewers were traumatized during the broadcast."

"Is this a serial killer or a bloodthirsty judge? What fate awaits the so-called Death Judge? A trial by law... or the people's protection to the point of going to a fucking revolution of justice?"

"The Death Judge has once again set a trap and fooled everyone! He has left a huge void in his games. Is it arrogance… or a way to humiliate his victims?"

Even experts and professors began appearing on the news to give their opinions.

Expert Noe Willliams: "Who does he think he is? A judge? A psychologist? No. He is a killer, an executioner with cold blood. Brutal, cruel and extremely dangerous. He must be captured immediately! If we don't, society will lose all sense of security."

As soon as Noe posted his words on social media, netizens erupted in a storm of comments.

"I think society is safe… the one who isn't is you, Noe. Are you afraid I'll judge you?"

"Your urgent request has arrived. Sign your death notice."

"The Death Judge only eliminates those who deserve it. Do you identify with that?"

"These so-called experts speak without knowing anything. They just seek attention."

"Another clown trying to become famous."

Noe never imagined the wave of criticism he would receive. In less than half an hour, he ended up deleting his social media accounts.

The whole city was tense. Everyone talked about it; nobody was afraid to voice an opinion.

It was April, and the temperature was already above ten degrees.

The streets were full of life: girls in short skirts, light pants and stockings walked under the warm late-afternoon sun.

Everything seemed normal... at least on the surface.

Larry finished his meal and looked at his phone screen. The news about his live broadcast kept multiplying. The comments hadn't changed: most still supported him.

He did not want to become the public's enemy. Moving through a city that hates you is the first step toward ruin.

Luckily, everything remained under control.

He paid the bill and left, took Jane to her home and walked alone through the streets, while the evening wind brushed his face.

Today, however, the air felt different.

As he continued walking, he saw someone being bullied up ahead.

"That girl…"

When he first saw her, he thought of letting someone else deal with those life problems. But as he got closer, he recognized her.

Her name was Carrie, a person connected to a homicide case he had been involved with recently.

She was following some girls while pushing another girl into an alley.

"Eh?" Larry frowned and quickly followed her.

"I told you to go in. Didn't you hear me? Aren't you listening now or are you deaf?" said one girl as she slapped Carrie in the face.

The girl named Carrie was very beautiful and even taller than her abusers. However, when one of them slapped her, she didn't even resist. She simply instinctively dodged it.

"Fuck you, bitch. Why did you dodge that?" The girl instantly flew into a rage. She ran up to Carrie and slapped her again.

Slap!

A red handprint was imprinted on Carrie's blond face.

Slap! Slap! Slap! Slap!

The girl slapped Carrie again and again. More than five slaps landed on the girl's face.

Another girl laughed and said, "Take a break. Let me do it!"

"I'll beat you to death, little bitch!" shouted another girl.

"Take her clothes off and take some photos to send to the school discussion group. Let everyone see how cheap she is. I've already thought of the title. 'This whore costs fifty dollars a night.'" ordered one of the girls.

Carrie did not resist, but when they were about to take her clothes off, she resisted and grabbed on tightly.

"I'm sorry. Can you let me go?" Carrie asked pitifully.

The girl who led the group bullying Carrie, named Lucía, and the other girls simply laughed.

"Kneel. Lick my feet until they're clean and I'll let you go!" Lucía said proudly.

Carrie looked helpless and desperate. She didn't want to cause trouble. She didn't want her family to get involved because of her. She had given up her dignity because of what happened to her aunt recently, but did she have to give up her last bit of integrity?

"Bitch, you still want to be slapped more, right? Kneel! Do you hear me?" Lucía scolded her fiercely.

Tears flowed down Carrie's face.

At that moment they heard the sound of footsteps coming from the alley.

In the dark alley there was only a faint light, which made Larry's face very blurred.

Lucía looked back. This person said not a word and simply leaned against the corner of the wall. However, Lucía vaguely felt that that person's eyes were watching her in the darkness, as if a very cold gaze were fixed on her.

"Hey, what are you looking at? This has nothing to do with you. Get lost!" said Lucía, not intimidated.

Lucía saw that the man did not seem old. She basically knew all the older people in the area. She had never seen this man before, so she was not afraid to answer him.

What she didn't know was that she was in big trouble because it was Larry and what he saw did not please him.

He was very displeased with what he was seeing!

Moreover, he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

How could a girl be so bold as to scold a schoolmate in front of an adult?

Larry showed no emotion at all. He said coldly, "This wasn't my business at the moment, but after seeing everyone attack a girl, now it is my business."

The other girls with Lucía, who were young teenagers, were furious and wanted to hit Larry!

Lucía was furious too.

"Apologize? Fuck! Who do you think you are? Do you know who I am? Are you fucking blind? I'll find someone to beat you tonight. Don't you believe me?"

Another girl turned to Lucía and said, "Don't waste your time with him. Call Ralph and tell him to bring his friends!"

Lucía sneered as she stared at Jack and said, "Stupid arrogant fool, if you actually have guts, we'll talk later!"

Hearing these high school girls speak that way, Larry wanted to laugh. If they knew who he was, they would probably run away.

"I'll wait." Larry signaled Lucía to come closer to him.
