I see he even left the Bone-Eroding Knife and the Sakura Sword Art behind, he's even more stubborn than I am." Passat picked up the Bone-Eroding Knife and the scroll of the Sakura Swordsmanship that had been placed at the head of his bed. Underneath the scroll, he noticed a folded note. As he unfolded it, his eyes scanned over a long paragraph, written in Ferrey's neat but forceful handwriting.
"Dear Passat and Linnana, by the time you read this note, I have already left this place. Perhaps I will return one day to see you again or perhaps I never will. You and your wife are truly good people. I cannot allow myself to burden you any longer, especially with Linnana carrying a child. I have no right to continue imposing on your kindness. I'm leaving now, not just to escape my fate, but to search for a cure for this cursed wound that plagues me. If fate allows it, I will return stronger. I will rebuild the dojo that once raised me and call it the Yishin Dojo. I swear to avenge my master and uncover the true mastermind behind the slaughter of our school. The Bone-Eroding Knife and the Sakura Swordsmanship scroll I leave with you. They no longer belong with me while I walk the shadow of death. I entrust them to you. Carry them forward. Honor the blade. Master the art. Should your descendants ever face peril, let them seek the Yishin Dojo and speak your name help will surely come. Until we meet again, if destiny allows it… Ferrey."
Passat's hands trembled slightly as he lowered the note. His eyes stung, reddened from holding back tears. The time he had spent with Ferrey wasn't long in years, but battles fought and hardships shared had made them feel like brothers. The Bone-Eroding Knife and the Sakura Sword Art were no mere heirlooms they were sacred treasures, forged in blood and legacy. For Ferrey to entrust them to him spoke volumes.
"Ferrey… you'll succeed, I know it. Good luck out there," Passat murmured, staring toward the closed door. Even though it hurt to see Ferrey go, this path could be the one that heals him, redeems him, and helps him fulfill the vow he made before his fallen master.

"Anyway, that's the story more or less." Uncle Bone Erosion sat cross-legged, finally pausing after talking for what felt like hours. But suddenly, his expression shifted. He seemed to regret opening up so much, as if he'd let too much of his past slip into the open.
"Hey! Uncle Bone Erosion! You can't stop there!" Rin yelled, clearly disappointed. "I was getting to the good part! You just gave me the whole backstory setup, now I want the breakdown! What happened next?!"
"We've been trapped here for who-knows-how-long. Aren't you hungry? Judging by the time that's passed, it's probably already night outside." Uncle Bone Erosion abruptly stood and began inspecting the walls of the sealed chamber. His sudden focus on escaping was clearly a distraction tactic he was a spirit, after all. He didn't get hungry, but Rin certainly did.
"Now that you mention it… I really am starving." Rin rubbed his rumbling stomach, momentarily forgetting his demand to hear the rest of the story. He turned his attention to the barrier. "Okay, let's figure out how to get out of here."
"We've tried physical force and spell attacks neither worked on this barrier. It's like a reinforced Sea Prism Stone chamber from Impel Down," Uncle Bone Erosion muttered, tapping along the edges. "We need to find some kind of weak spot. There might be a crack or a flaw somewhere near the top."
Uncle Bone Erosion continued feeling around the shimmering walls of the magical seal, his fingers moving carefully. The faint hum of the enchantment filled the air, like the buzz of Haki clashing against an unseen force. Somewhere, he hoped, was a flaw something overlooked by whoever cast this.
If they didn't find a way out soon, it wouldn't be just a matter of hunger. Something darker lurked in the enchantment's aura something watching.
"Alas, we might as well wait for someone to blast this enchantment from the outside Artoria must be in a panic by now since I haven't returned." Rin leaned against the wall of the magical barrier, thinking of Artoria. He hadn't been back since leaving Ryugu Palace that morning, and his battle on the eastern reef of Fish-Man Island had stirred up a huge commotion enough to shake the currents and alert the city. Surely, someone had noticed the chaos, and once word reached King Neptune, reinforcements would be dispatched immediately.
"That Artoria you keep mentioning she must be someone very dear to you," Uncle Bone Erosion said calmly. He had heard the name from Rin's mouth more than once and could tell from his tone that she held a special place in his heart.
"That's right," Rin replied without hesitation. "She means as much to me as Linnana meant to you." As soon as Rin said it, he felt a twinge of regret. Linnana was no longer in this world, and the wound was clearly still raw for Uncle Bone Erosion.
"The dead are gone, like leaves carried off by the tide. There's no need to speak of them anymore," Uncle Bone Erosion replied, turning away. "Besides, from what you're saying, it sounds like we'll need to rely on ourselves to escape this place."
"Why would we have to escape ourselves?" Rin frowned, confused. "Artoria should be outside right now, probably with Enel and Casa they wouldn't give up. They're definitely trying to break the enchantment and get us out of here."
"Think about it logically," Uncle Bone Erosion said, his tone calm but serious. "It's already been hours. If they had a way to breach this barrier, we would have been rescued long ago. The fact that this seal remains unbroken means even they can't crack it. This isn't just any enchantment—it's likely cast with high-level sealing techniques, possibly combined with Sea Prism-like properties. That's why we're still trapped."
Rin gritted his teeth in frustration. "So what now? This cursed thing doesn't even budge!" He slammed his fist against the barrier. All it did was ripple outward in thin, smoky waves of violet mist completely unaffected by his force.
"There has to be a way," Uncle Bone Erosion muttered, stroking his chin thoughtfully. His eyes scanned the barrier, though the dense purple-black smoke that filled the chamber limited visibility to just a few meters.
"Hey, Uncle Bone Erosion did you ever see Ferrey again after he left?" Rin asked, suddenly remembering the part of the story that had been interrupted earlier. His curiosity burned stronger than ever.
"After that? If you want to know, then earn the right to hear the rest," Uncle Bone Erosion said with a sly grin. "Beat me in a fight and I'll tell you but not now. Right now, the priority is figuring out how to escape." He turned his attention back to the barrier, still scanning for inconsistencies or fractures in the spellwork.
Rin knew he wouldn't get more out of him for now. But deep inside, he had a feeling the answer about Ferrey and how his journey ended was going to matter more than he realized.
