--- Chapter 537 ---

Bloody screams and desperate cries echoed across the burning ruins of Glorybound City. Once a peaceful coastal town with subtle development, it was now a horrific hellscape—raging with dark purple flames, shattered buildings, and blood submerging the paved streets.

High above the ruined city, a black-robed figure hovered indifferently. She showed not a sliver of emotion after taking thousands of human lives, her slitted golden dragon eyes gazing down at the carnage as if looking at a nest of squashed ants.

Meanwhile, far from the city center, a golden-haired girl had stepped into a cozy, well-kept home.

"Who are you—?!" A middle-aged man stepped forward, blocking her path with intense vigilance.

"Noisy..." The golden-haired girl slapped her hand dismissively.

BAM!

The sheer force sent the man flying into the wall, coughing up blood. The girl ignored him, but her disgust deepened as she glared at the trembling, black-haired young girl cowering in the living room.

"Thief!" She hissed, her young voice laced with venom. "You dare to steal from the noble Dragon Clan? You deserve to die!"

"Who are you?! What do you want from us?!" The black-haired girl, Tang Wuyue, had no idea who this golden-haired intruder was. Yet, Something deep within her soul screamed in extreme anguish as she stared into those vertical crimson-gold pupils.

"Wuyue, get away from her!"

Tang Ziran stumbled back to his feet, shielding his daughter once more with sheer, desperate conviction. "You won't hurt my daughter!"

"You'll have to walk over my dead body first!"

"Ziran!" Lang Yue watched her husband's heroic stance through a blur of terrified tears.

"Lang Yue, run! Take Wuyue and run!" Tang Ziran shouted desperately as he charged foolishly at the girl-shaped monster. "I'll hold her back!"

Lang Yue bit her lip until it bled, grabbing her daughter, Tang Wuyue, and scrambling toward the side door, trying desperately to flee from the golden-haired nightmare.

Unfortunately, how could fragile humans outrun an enraged Dragon King?

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!

ROOOOOAAR!

Not long after the two left, a deep, dreadful dragon roar exploded inside the house as a wave of crimson-gold light reduced the cozy building to fine dust in an instant.

Standing amidst the shattered debris was still the golden-haired girl, her hands now transformed into gleaming, gold-scaled dragon claws.

She held the dying Tang Ziran above by his throat, her gaze locked onto the young thief who had dared to inherit her sister's stolen origin, soul, and power.

"W-Why... why are you doing this..." Tang Ziran gasped for air, struggling uselessly against her grip. Her claw was like a vice, a steel bar crushing his windpipe.

"Please..."

"Please... let my family go..."

"They are... innocent..."

"Innocent? Hahaha!" The young Golden Dragon King let out a sinister, mocking laugh that sent chills through the air. "My sister was innocent too!"

"Yet she still died at the hands of wretched creatures like you!"

"Humans... Gods... you are all the same!"

"We have suffered enough by your hands! I will never let you sacrifice the lives of my people again!"

"Starting today!" She flexed her claw slightly.

CRACK!

Tang Ziran's neck snapped instantly, his lifeless body dropping into the dust.

A short distance away, the mother and daughter witnessed the horrific sight with eyes wide in utter terror.

"DAAAAAAAAADD!!"

"ZIRAAAAAAAAN!"

Both mother and daughter screamed in gut-wrenching anguish at the top of their lungs.

At the peak of her emotional trauma, Tang Wuyue's vision went dark, and she collapsed. However, before her body hit the ground, a faint, radiant golden trident mark materialized upon her forehead.

Slowly, the 'girl' stood back up. She slowly wiped the tears from her face with a calm, deliberate motion, her expression turning unnaturally solemn as she stared at the Golden Dragon King.

"Golden Dragon King..."

The voice that echoed from the young girl's mouth was no longer her own, as it was deep, majestic, and undeniably male.

"You have gone too far!"

"Too far?!" The Golden Dragon King sneered, her dragon scales flaring with golden divine light. "It is you, Puny God, who went too far!"

"You stole the luck of my Spirit Beast Race!"

"You interfere with mortal affairs!"

"And now, you even dare to violate the remains of the Silver Dragon King, sealing her very soul and essence inside your disgusting descendant's body!"

"Hmph!" The 'Sea God' frowned slightly, his expression indifferent and lofty. "It seems you are truly bent on seeking death today."

"Death? I should be saying that to you!" The Golden Dragon King growled, her aura bursting into a sky-shattering pillar of crimson-gold destruction.

With that, the divine projection of the Sea God and the Golden Dragon King engaged in an earth-shattering clash high above the burning ruins of Glorybound City.

Far above the atmosphere of Douluo Star, inside the Lunar Base command center, Xu Deming had been monitoring Glorybound City from the very beginning.

The moment the Sea God's trident mark flared to life, his cold, calculating expression melted into pure hatred.

"Sea God... Tang San..." A bloodthirsty grin spread across his face. "You finally showed your ugly face."

"I have been waiting for this exact moment."

He slammed his hand onto the main command console. "Gnosia! Run God Slayer Project No. 4 and deploy the God-Sealing Formation immediately!"

'Initiating God-Slaying Mecha deployment sequence...' Gnosia responded in her flat, monotonous voice.

'Atmospheric re-entry to the Douluo Plane: Sixty-nine seconds.'

'God-Sealing Formation orbital arrays descending in thirty-three seconds.'

Xu Deming tapped his second interface, entering a new frequency. "Also... establish a direct link to Brother Han. Tell him the emergency protocol is moving ahead of schedule."

"Spirit Beast Faction: Golden Dragon King and Beast God Di Tian."

"God Faction: Tang San's divine projection, with possible interference from Tang Hao and his remaining lackeys."

"Tell him he can assist if he wants—but even if he stays out of it, I'm going to rip a piece of Tang San's soul out today!"

'Acknowledged. Transmitting your exact word-for-word message to Han Yuan now,' Gnosia replied flatly.

Xu Deming winced, coughing awkwardly. "Ah, wait, let's rephrase that!"

"I've been teasing him for weeks about his new vessel's origins. And who knows what he'll do to me once he ascends to Godhood if I sound too cocky now?"

Meanwhile, inside Eastsea City, Han Yuan really didn't need Xu Deming's transmission to realize what was unfolding in Glorybound City.

His overwhelming spiritual sense had long detected the violent surge of divine oceanic power, dragon's slaughter intent, and boundless despair drifting from the distance.

"This presence..."

In the Eastsea Spirit Pagoda, Han Tianyi abruptly halted his meditation, his brow furrowing deeply. "A Ferocious Spirit Beast... no, it is much more dangerous than that!"

"Is it a Spirit Beast Tide? But why Glorybound City of all places?"

He gazed far into the distance, his silver eyes piercing through the dark, gloomy horizon toward the burning city. "No, I must investigate this immediately."

Without further ado, Han Tianyi summoned his Battle Armor, transforming into a streak of light as he shot into the sky toward Glorybound City.

At the Blacksmith Association, Xing Lan also sensed the terrifying energy waves radiating from the coast. "This power... it completely transcends the realm of mortals."

"Is a God descending upon our world once again?"

She turned toward her young disciples with a grave expression. "Mu Xi, contact your parents and ensure they stay inside the inner defensive district."

"Zixin, Xiaoyan, you girls as well. Warn your families immediately."

"What happened, Teacher? Why so sudden?" Ouyang Zixin asked in confusion, sensing Xing Lan's rare loss of composure.

Xing Lan looked down at her trembling hand before answering solemnly, "Something disastrous is unfolding nearby."

"It's not in Eastsea City yet, but it is dangerously close."

"Do not attempt to pry..."

"This level of battle is not something you should be involved in at your age."

"You as well, Xiao Yuan—! Wait, where is he?!"

Xing Lan turned toward the couch where the silver-haired boy had been lounging lazily moments ago, only to find it empty.

"Ah! Xiaoyan is gone too!" Mu Xi then cried out in disbelief, looking around frantically. Neither her beloved junior brother nor the mischievous blue-haired girl were anywhere to be found!
