Chapter 366 - Part three hundred and sixty-six - There it is again, the hundred faces.

"…But what should I cook?" 

He glanced around the kitchen, taking it in. The room was lit up in a soft glow thanks to the lanterns. Second only to the bathing room, this was his favourite place in the pavilion. 

The place was larger than most disciple's residences, furnished with dark sandalwood cabinets lining the walls. The counters were made of polished stone that ran along each side of the room. 

A set of jade-handled knives hung above the main counter, their blades sealed with faint talisman marks to keep them perpetually sharp. Copper pots and woks rested on hooks beside them, each etched with small runes meant to regulate heat so dishes never scorched. Near the center of the kitchen stood a heavy table carved from a single piece of red ironwood. Its surface carried tiny scars from years of use, though each mark had been smoothed over by a careful hand.
