Goyeon's tail flicked, and his emerald eyes narrowed as though he understood every word spoken to him. A puff of smoke curled from his nostrils, and Wooyun bit down a grin.
"Alright then," he whispered, patting the dragon's scaled head before turning him toward the children. "Show them what you're made of."
The little beast opened his snout wide and, with a sharp whoosh, spat out a harmless burst of flame into the air. The fire crackled, warm and bright, before vanishing like a spark against the twilight.
The two brothers' eyes went wide before a loud shriek erupted from their mouths. They stumbled over each other as they bolted for safety. "D-DRAGON! IT'S A DRAGON!"
Their panicked cries echoed through the yard, and Wooyun laughed so hard he had to clutch his stomach. The little girl, however, did not move. Her wide eyes gleamed not with fear, but with wonder and amazement. She stepped closer, hands clutched to her chest. "He really is a dragon…" she whispered in awe.
