Wooyun stood at the back of the room as she began her dissection.
The silence was thick, and everyone waited with bated breath as she prodded deeper into the creature's insides. Her eyes glowed faintly with qi as she analyzed the traces. Then, her fingers stopped. Her expression darkened.
"There it is," she muttered. "Demonic qi... and righteous qi. Interwoven. Forced into the creature's meridians."
"Is it stable?" Euikyung asked.
"Not at all. This thing shouldn't even be alive. Whoever did this... knew exactly what they were doing." She glanced over her shoulder at Wooyun. "And they weren't amateurs."
A heavy silence fell across the room. Even the less-experienced unit members could feel the wrongness of what had been done. Euikyung, who stood at the corner of the room, gritted her teeth. Never in a million years would she have thought something like this would happen.
