Turns out those two days of no notes were a break, a moment to rest before I'm thrown back into the endless torment. Well, at least my deity bulletin board was kind enough to give me that much.
"Alright, I'm going to be gone for the next three days. I left food in the fridge; Don't answer the door for anyone except Moxie. Call me if you need anything.... and bedtime is 10 o'clock. Boketto, I'm trusting you to enforce this rule."
She salutes. "Leave it to me!"
It sounds more like I'm leaving a pet behind than two women who are older than me.
That just gave me an idea.
"I still don't really get where you're going for the next three days."
"Its... work trip."
"I thought you were unemployed."
