Wish wanted to believe that he was joking, but the look he had on his face was serious.
He brought his hands to caress the side of her face, and Wish thought she would be burned under the heat of his touch. She had missed it so much, and why was her heart racing differently this time?
Wish tried to ease the tension a bit with a smile and began to shake her head, "I was just spitting out nonsense and blinded by my anger. I wasn't thinking straight. Who else would be my mate if not you, Malachi?" she spoke gently, hoping this would make him, if not open the door, at least put his clothes back on because she was finding it hard to breathe properly and not be drawn to sin if her eyes should wander far down below his beautiful face.
