After a while, she took in a deep quiet breath before exhaling softly. Then she stood up and packed her hair into a bun before moving closer to the cold river and carefully placing her fingers inside the cold river. The moment her fingers touched the water, something unexpectedly shocking happened.
Evelyn froze in disbelief at what she just saw. It was because the moment her fingers touched the water, the water suddenly turned into ice block.
She was so stunned that she couldn't move her fingers cause the water-turned-iceblock freeze it.
Her heart began plummeted in fear and nervousness as she didn't know what to do.
How can a single touch turn a river to ice? What will the world say about this? How will she escape from this? This is bad! And the painful and annoying part is her fingers are stuck inside the ice.
"Did HE lie to her?" She gnashed her teeth angrily and screamed loudly that the world suddenly echoed her own voice.
"WHY DID YOU LIE TO ME? !"
Her throat hurts from the scream and she began to panic because she didn't hear a response. Oh no, this is bad! She needed to save her sister from the hands of those blood suckers that calls themselves vampires and to end the so called marriage alliance the vampire king had made.
She kept trying to move her fingers, but it was a failed attempt as she could feel her fingers going numb from being in ice for some minutes.
She closed her eyes and somewhere deep within, a voice—hers, yet not hers—rose in a language her waking mind did not know,
"Serelune tha'mi, Veyara. Elthir nae varen a'selora."
Meaning: Help me, Goddess Veyara. Grant me the strength to part these waters.
As she spoke, the ice began to melt softly and powerfully, her fingers that were numb began to feel again as the water splitter into two halves before her.
Her eyes were still closed; but didn't see the casket that was moving as if being saved.
It kept moving until it appeared on the edge.
Evelyn was still in trance and didn't know that the casket was creaking open by itself until it was brutally opened with force and the person who was in there almost look like a skeleton.
There was a sudden silence until Evelyn's lashes flutter open and a pair of mystical misty grey eyes came into view with a mixed of pale blue twirling in them.
Then a great thunder storm echoed, loudly, throughout th land making Evelyn gasped hard before exhaling harshly. Her face was covered in sweats as she finally realized her surroundings. The misty grey color of her eyes had seems like a brief illusion and her black eyes scanned her environment before it fell on an open casket and a heart-shattering scream erupted from her lips because of what she saw in the casket.
She was so scared to her bones that she didn't dare touch the casket. She closed her eyes tightly as if closing her eyes will make the casket disappear.
After closing her eyes for what seems like forever,
She slowly opened one eye to see if it had disappeared but no it was still there. So she fully opened her eyes as she finally noticed the rusted casket.
Her mind slowly drifted back to the silver eyes stranger's voice.
"When he had asked her to save her, did he meant inside the casket?"
And who on earth will bury someone alive inside a casket and throw them inside the cold river when they are still alive? How cruel could that person be? While she was cursing the person that had buried someone alive in a casket and throw them inside the cold river,
She didn't noticed the slightest movement of a finger.
The person in the casket began to move his fingers slowly, and slowly before his eyes finally opened,a pair of silver eyes came into view.
Then like a blur,
Evelyn was on top of him, inside the open the casket. She didn't react on time and was caught off guard until she felt a sharp piercing pain on her neck.
His fangs had sank deep into her neck between her collarbone and shoulder blade.
Evelyn tried to wrrigle free from him, her heart was thudding wildly in her chest in fear of being killed by the person she had saved even though she didn't know how she had saved him, but it was as if she was confined and tightly held by him making it difficult for her to be freed.
He kept drinking her blood non stop as though he wanted to suck her dry, but then he heard her whimper.
He forcefully pushed her to the ground and then like a blur he flew like lightning into the shadows.
Evelyn's finger slowly touched the spot she was bitten. It burned a little but she quickly stood up and and turned to look at the direction where he had vanished into.
For some strange reasons, he has bitten her and suck her blood, but she didn't feel any pain except slight dizziness. But she steadied herself still and decided to wait for him. She had to find out if it was him, the same mysterious silver eyes stranger visiting her dreams and causing unnecessary shivers for her.

The royal carriage finally arrived at the house of the Frasers and Lila got down and watch how the carriage rode away.
Once the carriage was out of sight, she went inside only to find empty. She furrowed her brows in confusion and called out,
"Mum!" No response
"Dad!" No response
"Evelyn!" No response again.
She started panicking as she has never experienced such uneasiness before. She searched the whole of the house but no one was there.
"Where the hell did her family go?"
"Tell me, they didn't abandon me". She muttered to herself as anger and fear began to brew in her heart.
