Item #: SCP-001-7 (Vessel Of Anchors)
Object Class: Euclid (Thaumiel Proposal Rejected)
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-001-7 is to be housed in a specialized humanoid containment suite at Site-01. Personnel assigned to SCP-001-7 must undergo enhanced psychological screening, with particular focus on hostility, resentment, or latent fear responses. Physical contact with SCP-001-7 requires written authorization from Site Command.
Due to the entity's anomalous stabilizing effects, most non-hazardous requests made by SCP-001-7 are granted to ensure emotional stability. SCP-001-7 has monitored access to Foundation-approved social media platforms, which have shown positive results in reducing isolation stress.
Should the metaphysical seal weaken, Site-01 is to enact [Emergency Scarlet Protocols], including immediate evacuation of all personnel within a 500-meter radius and contact of SCP-343 for reassertion of the seal.
Description:
SCP-001-7 appears as a human adolescent male of European descent. Genetic and ontological testing confirms anomalous origin consistent with recorded Scarlet King entities (Ref: The Seven Brides, The Seven Sons). SCP-001-7 is identified as the seventh son of the Scarlet King, an entity associated with SCP-001 proposals. According to SCP-343, SCP-001-7 was created through one of the Scarlet King's forced unions, then sealed by SCP-343 at birth to prevent the manifestation of its full destructive potential.
During childhood, SCP-001-7 exhibited uncontrolled outbursts correlated with fluctuations in the seal. These diminished entirely with age, and subject now displays stable behavior, though the seal remains under constant surveillance.
Anomalous Properties:
Existential Fixation / Reversal:
SCP-001-7's direct perception, reinforced by physical contact, alters the stability of other beings in baseline reality.
If SCP-001-7 perceives an individual positively, their existence is "cemented." Effects include halted aging, resistance to erasure, and heightened resilience against probabilistic or reality-altering events.
If SCP-001-7 perceives an individual negatively, physical contact destabilizes their existence. Early stages manifest as accelerated cancer and cellular decay; advanced exposure has caused partial or total conceptual erasure.
Subject's power is not triggered by others' reactions — only by SCP-001-7's personal perception.
Localized SCP Suppression:
Hostile anomalies within 10 meters of SCP-001-7 show marked docility and reduced anomalous output.
Addendum 001-7-A — Interview with SCP-343
Dr. █████: "Why intervene? Why seal him?"
SCP-343: [sighs] "Because he is mine. He belongs to the Scarlet King. And yet… he also does not. He is the Seventh, the one prophesied. As a father I could not unmake him, so I hid him, in the innocence of what he is, a child. Do you understand?"
Addendum 001-7-B — Developmental Notes
SCP-001-7 was raised in isolation due to early-life outbursts. To reduce the risk of destabilization, Foundation personnel curated heroic stories and positive role models. The strategy was successful: as SCP-001-7 matured, emotional volatility decreased dramatically.
Unlike most Scarlet King progeny, SCP-001-7 demonstrates empathy, curiosity, and a desire for social interaction. Monitored social media access has further reinforced these stabilizing tendencies.
Addendum 001-7-C — Existential Testing Test ██: Researcher ███ maintained prolonged physical contact with SCP-001-7 while demonstrating trust. Researcher's cellular aging ceased entirely; effect persists.
Test ██: Class-D subject placed in prolonged contact while displaying visible fear. Subject developed advanced systemic cancer within 55 hours.
Test ██: During supervised trial, SCP-001-7 deliberately perceived a Class-D as "evil" during contact. Subject after 7 hours experienced delayed phased distortions before vanishing from reality. Only clothing and residual heat remained. [Addendum 001-7-D — Object Contact Trials (Excerpt)]
Trial Log: SCP-001-7 was given access to various objects for prolonged physical interaction.
Trial 12: Contact with a standard deck of playing cards, duration 24h. No anomalous results.
Trial 13: Contact with ██ issues of serialized Japanese light novels, duration 273h. Material remained pristine, resistant to degradation. Further study pending.
Trial 14: Contact with a petri dish culture of E. coli, duration 5h. Colony exhibited atypical stasis.
Note: Trial 13 material remains in SCP-001-7's quarters per O5 clearance.
