When Gael arrived at the Ashford Mansion, he saw his father sitting with his eyes closed in the living room.
Gael walked past him and was about to take the stairs when his father's voice stopped him.
"So you offered a deal to Diana?"
Gael froze for a moment and then looked at his dad, who still had his eyes closed.
"When did you pay her a visit?"
Samuel opened his eyes to look at his son. "We missed each other. I saw you leaving the station, and I became curious about what the both of you had talked about, and with a little pressure, she told me everything. Tell me, Gael, did you really think you would make a deal with my wife without me knowing anything about it?" Samuel asked with a smile.
"Wow. I am truly amazed by the bond the husband and wife share, but does the wife know the husband is the reason she is in jail?"
Samuel's smile falters. "What do you mean by that?"
