In the Emerson manor,
Aunt Tessa, uncle Anthony, and Mr and Mrs Emerson and the grandparents were gathered at the dining room.
They were having lunch when they heard Carrie's voice from the staircase.
"Yes, I will be there in ten minutes ". She said as she descended the stairs in a haste.
"Carie dear,where are you heading to in a rush?" Mrs Emerson asked calmly.
"I'm travelling to Germany for some business. " Carie replied and dragged her box and was about to leave the mansion but was stopped by grandpa Emerson.
"No dear, you can't travel to Germany. It's getting late. Postpone it to another time". He said wiping his lips with a napkin before standing up.
"Grandpa, you can't stop me, I'm not a child that can be controlled. And moreover it's very important that I go today so I can seal the deal with the Fledds company overseas". Carie said annoyed by how her family are trying to stop her from travelling.
The moment she said those words, the water that aunt Tessa was drinking suddenly got stuck on her throat making her to cough violently.
"Tessa , What's wrong?" Mrs Emerson asked worriedly. While the rest of the family stared at her in concern.
Tessa cleared her throat and said nothing. I have to be somewhere. Good bye. She said and picked up her purse and left the dinning room while everyone stared at her strangely, most especially Carie.
"Safe trip dear, and be careful". Mrs Emerson said with a small smile. While Carie nodded her head before leaving.
The moment she was gone, aunt Tessa stood up, clearing her throat.
" I need to go for my spa treatment. " Tessa said and hastily left without waiting for anyone to comment.
"Everyone is just acting strange today. First it was Carie and now tessa". Mrs Emerson said calmly, sipping her cold juice.
"Call Logan and fix his engagement date with Hannah". Grandpa Emerson ordered and Mrs Emerson said okay.
At the same time, Aunt Tessa was feeling extremely worried to the core. She had been trying to reach Gregor for now, but his line was unavailable.
"Damn it, where did he put his phone? He needed to inform him that Caroline is going to Germany to see the Fledds. If Carie sees the Fledds then her game will be over. Carie will definitely recognize the Fledds as her childhood memories wasn't wiped off.
She started the engine of her car and drove off to go look for him.
On the highway, while the car was driving at an average speed, Hannah was staring out the window of the car , watching as trees, and houses passed them by.
Logan who was busy staring at his laptop, working on some things paused to turn to look at her.
He could see how she was feeling nervous as her fingers curled together as she stared out the window.
"What are you thinking about?" He asked jolting her back to reality.
Hannah slowly turned to look at him, her sky blue eyes looked kinda different: or is it nervousness?
"I miss my aunt and uncle and also my cousin". She whispered softly looking into his dark black eyes.
"You mean you missed the people that wanted to abandon you and sold you off as a contracted wife?" He asked incredulously.
"Even if they did, they had their reasons, you forced them because you are wealthy, powerful and influential. ". She whispered quietly, her heart racing wildly in her chest. She had told herself not to engage in conversations with him to avoid him from talking dirty to her. She didn't want to risk the mixed feelings she was slowly beginning to feel. She was very scared of falling in love, especially when Scarlett is out there doing everything in her power to break the marriage.
"Forget them, don't worryy your pretty head about theeir wellbeing ". He said closing his laptop and took her hands, making her heart skipped a beat.
"Even if you are my contracted wife, I can't risk you having another episode of your ailment again". He whispered softly, making her flutter her lashes as he took her hands and brought it to his lips, sending warmth into her skin.
"Why are you caring for me ?" She asked staring into his eyes.
"I don't, and why would I?" He asked with his cocked brows.
"But you said I shouldn't worry about my family". She pointed out.
"Your cousin is out of coma". He said as he watched her facial expression.
Hannah froze on the spot upon hearing his next words.
"You mean Elizabeth is out of coma?" She asked with disbelief in her sky blue eyes.
"Yes, and why I said you shouldn't worry your pretty head is because your family won't be seeing you nor would you be seeing them. " He smirked as the chauffeur drive towards the airport.
The moment they arrived at the airport,
Logan slowly let go of her hand and opened the car door to get down, while Hannah did the same. As she got down, Logan walked around the car to come and meet her holding a small parcel on his right hand.
Her sky blue eyes fell on the parcel before she stared at him.
At the same time, people and onlookers that were going about their daily lives paused to face the couple that have been trending all over the internet because of Logan the hot billionaire extravagant introduction party.
"Oh my? !" Isn't that Logan Emerson and his wife?" People whispered.
"What are they doing here?" One fair lady said in a hushed tone as she quickly took out her phone from her black purse and quickly capture them.
At the same time,
Logan stared at her and slowly stretched his right hand towards her.
"It's a gift from me to you, a gift I was supposed to give you on the day of our introduction party ". He said as he waited for her to take the gift.
