"Tell me you are joking". Scarlett said with gritted teeth.
Oh really? ! Would I joke with something like that with my best friend when I know how much she is in love with my brother? Brielle smirked playing with the curls of her reddish hair.
"Should we kill her?" Scarlett suddenly blurred out.
"What?? Are you crazy?" Brielle almost face palmed herself with what Scarlet just sprouted out.
I thought you were in haste to get rid of her. So why are you been scared? Scarlett asked with an eye roll.
Yes I know I said that. What I mean is we need to tread carefully so Logan doesn't trace any damage thing to us. Brielle explained with a patient smile.
While Scarlett sigh deeply.
"I love him a lot, seeing him with another woman is so heart breaking and shattering". Scarlett finally confessed tears lurked at the corner of her eyes.
Brielle slowly stood up and went to drag Scarlett up and pulled her into her soft embrace.
"Every thing will be fine as far as your love for Logan is strong enough to break this so called marriage." Brielle said.
"But he is doing an introduction party, and it will be an elaborate one knowing how famous Logan is all over the world as a multi billionaire CEO of Sutherland enterprise. " Scarlett said weakly knowing Logan will invite so many famous and popular CEOs and billionaires for the introduction.
"Are you seriously worrying about that?" Brielle raised an eyebrow in disbelief. The Scarlett Boswell I know isn't a gullible fool, but a smart genius.
Do you remember the girl back then that you caught sitting on Logan's lap at a party? Brielle asked.
"Oh you mean that strip dancer?, "
Yes. Have you forgotten what we did to her? Well, incasw you might have forgotten , let me remind you. We abducted her and I left her to you, only God knows what you did to her. Brielle said with an evil smirk.
Scarlet tried not to wince as she remembered selling off the strip dancer to a drug lord.
"I remember, but this is Logan Contracted wife. He bought her. " Scarlett said calmly. She didn't want to use her own hands to push Logan away from her.
"I know you love him, but you have to fight for your man, either fight for him or let a useless rag doll take him and bear all his children for him". Briellysaid slightly irritated with Scarlet fear.
"No way will that happen, I will rather give birth to the heir of the Emersons empire. Logan is mine and mine alone. " Scarlett said with a determination surging through her.
"Good then, so we can't just kill her especially when I'm beginning to suspect that Logan is slowly falling ––"
Please stop. Stop saying it, he is only angry cause the day he wanted to do a surprise visit for me, he had caught another in my house and I tried to explain to me that nothing happened between us. Scarlett begged feeling guilty for that day.
"Really?, nothing happened but you told me you only had a fling for a night cause Logan had refused to touch you until he married you. " Brielle smirked.
Have you forgotten it was Logan who took my virginity? And he promised to marry me only for that fateful day to ruin everything, I wish I could turn back the hands of time. Scarlett said weakly.
Don't feel weak yet, instead of you feeling weak,we should make her weak and emotionally unstable to the extent she won't be able to withstand it. Brielle said with a smile and Scarlett smiled too.
"I love you bestie, you are the kind of friend every lady wished to have. " Scarlett said sweetly.
"That's the spirit, I don't want you thinking or brooding over a rag we can easily discard babe. " Brielle said and Scarlet nodded in agreement. After their heartfelt conversation, they began to talk about mundane things.
Meanwhile,
Hannah was still resting her head on his chest, while the drive to her neighborhood was still motion.
After driving for a while, they finally reached where the road was cranky and broken. The Chaffeuer drove carefully to avoid bumping on any potholes.
"What do you think about moving your aunt and uncle to a city where there are no bumps?" Logan asked and Hannah who was already dozing off because of his strong cologne raised up her head to gaze at him.
"I grew up in this environment, so it will be hard for my aunt and uncle to change where they are living. " Hannah replied yawning softly.
I didn't ask for your opinion. I only asked what you think. Logan said with a bored voice.
Then I gave you a response. Hannah said with an eye roll.
Not that response I was expecting sweet girl. He said slowly playing with the strands of her hair.
We have arrived. The Chaffeuer said and Hannah smiled brightly and was about to get down from the car when Logan spoke,
"You are only spending five minutes. Your time starts now. " He said with a blank voice.
Hannah was shocked but decided not to argue and hastily got down from the car and went to her apartment. The moment she reached their doorstep, she twisted the door knob and saw that it was locked.
"Did they perhaps go out?" She mused with a confused frown as she went to the other side to ask one of their neighbors.
She knocked on the door and the door flung opened revealing the same green haired woman.
The green haired woman was shocked to see Hannah.
'' Hannah is it you?" She asked with a wide smile.
Hannah didn't have much time to beat round the bush and act as though they have been long time acquaintances.
"What about my aunt and uncle? " She asked.
"You don't know?" The green haired lady asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Know what?" Hannah asked with a confused frown.
