Chapter 19 - Mechanicus

Author's Note:

Honestly, on the one hand, I feel good because I've gotten the Mechanicus out of my head. On the other hand, I feel bad: unfortunately, I had a mild case of indigestion that kept me up all night. I couldn't sleep, but on the other hand, I was able to write.

Chapter 4: Mechanicus

Plot: In this chapter we will talk about one of the most important and influential factions of the USKY: the military's Scientific Division, the Mechanicus, and its connections with the Blight Galaxy Industrials.

XXX Official Presentation XXX

Ostensibly, the Mechanicus acts as the technological backbone of the USKY, serving as the Science, Research and Development Division of the military (Astra Militarum and Astra Navis).

Its authority is consolidated by a historic and unbreakable partnership with Blight Galaxy Industrials, with which it has worked since its founding, when its influence was limited to the Archduchy of Bahamut on the planet Ysatnaf.

However, this definition is incomplete, if not misleading.

Officially, the Mechanicus' purpose is to identify, test, and integrate cutting-edge systems to ensure the Kingdom's military superiority.

Its stated duties include:

- Innovation and Integration: Developing next-generation weaponry and maintaining existing arsenals that ordinary soldiers are unable to fully manage. This category includes most war machines, the mechanical bodies of drones and synthetics, advanced superweapons, and any delicate AI management.

- Strategic Doctrine: The Mechanicus works closely with the Astra Militarum and Astra Navis to develop tactical studies based on existing and new technological capabilities, identifying new uses, weaknesses to address, and strengths to enhance.

Colonial Expansion: The Mechanicus, along with the Rogue Traders, is one of two organizations granted permission by the King to mount expeditions outside the USKY to map the unknown. If the Mechanicus AI Team or a Rogue Trader finds a planet suitable for colonization, the Mechanicus will participate in the creation of the new colony. However, it will only be able to operate entirely independently if its AIs have discovered the planet.

- Custodianship of the Filaments (Interstellar Logistics): There are various types of roads and shortcuts that connect the 500 worlds of the Realm. Katerina B. Kirijo (Ninth Princess), head of the Spacing Guild, has a monopoly on civilian interplanetary and interstellar travel; she navigates the routes, the Astra Navis protects them, and the Mechanicus is responsible for building and maintaining them. Their operation is a closely guarded secret.

- Vital Infrastructure Maintenance: The Division is responsible for repairing and maintaining critical government infrastructure. Each city's defense systems, orbital defense systems, global communications, and state-owned factories fall under the Mechanicus's control. Private contractors are not under their purview, but fall under the purview of guilds and technology corporations.

- Tactical Support and Specialized Forces: Support for the army (Astra Militarum and Astra Navis) is not just logistical, but also military. The Mechanicus fields its own unique armed forces: Mecha, Iron Knights, Legio Cybernetica, Skitarii Legions, Alae Mechanicae, and the Battle Congregation Mechanicum.

- Monitoring and Study of Emerging Civilizations: The Mechanicus manages the clandestine surveillance of "Garden Planets." These are worlds that are habitable, ideal places for colonization, but which host intelligent life forms that have not yet reached the technological, social, or spiritual stage necessary for contact with the USKY. Through numerous means, the Mechanicus observes every stage of these species' development, cataloging their biological evolution and cultural advances. The strict order is to observe without interfering, until the moment of First Contact or if extraordinary circumstances arise that require their intervention.

While these functions are real, they only represent the "operational surface" visible to the general public.

In reality, the Mechanicus pursues much deeper and more occult goals, often coordinated in the shadows, far from the sight and knowledge of most, as almost no one knows of the existence of the Moonlit Syndicate, the Mechanicus' secret partner.

XXX Unofficial Presentation: The State within the State XXX

The Mechanicus operates as a true "army within an army," transcending the confines of a simple scientific division. Its actual structure is based on a symbiotic collaboration with the Moonlit Syndicate.

Command Hierarchy: The organization does not follow the normal Senate bureaucratic chain. It answers exclusively to two authorities:

- Archmage Intendans: Absolute leader of the Mechanicus.

- The King of USKY

His unofficial duties include:

- Total Infiltration: The Mechanicus-Syndicate combination allows for influence over every economic, political, and social sector of the Kingdom. The level of infiltration varies from planet to planet, but there is always a lever of control.

- Control and Monitoring Network: The Mechanicus oversees each city through a Lord Magos or Lady Magas of the City. Working directly with the Viceroys (and their AIs) and the Governors (supported by their Bio-mechanical Assistants), the Division ensures technological functioning while simultaneously gathering comprehensive internal and external information. In this system, infrastructure management coincides with total surveillance.

- Shadow Space Routes: As architects of the Filaments, members of the Mechanicus have carved out secondary space routes, invisible to the official records of the Spacing Guild. These routes allow the transport of goods and starships beyond any bureaucratic control. Access is reserved exclusively for the King (and his elite agents), the Moonlit Syndicate, and the highest ranks of the Mechanicus.

- Independent Mining Sector: To self-finance clandestine experiments and projects without leaving a trace in the state budget, the Division operates a secret network of mining stations located in empty space or uncharted areas. These bases extract raw materials directly from asteroids.

- Extreme Isolation Labs: The Mechanicus uses covert space stations to conduct high-risk experiments (biological, magitechnic, or psionic). These facilities are equipped with integrated mass self-destruct systems, allowing for the immediate elimination of any threat or failure without causing collateral damage to the Realm's 500 worlds.

- Manipulation of State Efficiency: The Mechanicus does not retain the immense amount of data it collects, but uses it to fuel the illusion of institutional perfection. Through "anonymous tips," the Division directs the actions of the Planetary Intelligence Agency (PIA), the Planetary Police Forces (PPF), the Arbites, and the Inquisition.

- Indirect Management: This method allows internal and external threats to be resolved by involving the relevant bodies, without the Mechanicus having to directly expose itself. The result is a public perception of infallibility throughout the Kingdom.

- Direct and Discreet Intervention: In cases where the use of "men in uniform" or an Inquisitor is politically risky or impossible, the Mechanicus delegates final resolution to the Moonlit Syndicate, who intervene swiftly, lethally and without official ties to the Crown.

- VIP Vault Network: These are secret underground shelters scattered across every planet, uncolonized moon, and dead zone in the Realm. Designed for the extraction and protection of key individuals, their existence is known only to the elite command of the King, the Mechanicus, and the Moonlit Syndicate.

The Thirteen Hangars (Rebirth Protocol): A maximum-security doomsday bunker, its location kept secret even from the highest ranks of the Division. Only the King, Archmage Intendans, and the Moonlit Syndicate leader know of its existence.

- Hangar Equipment: Each facility is a self-sufficient technological ark containing automated factories for the instantaneous production of machinery and infrastructure, as well as advanced cloning systems with complete genetic maps of every sentient species, animal and plant, in the USKY.

- Purpose: To ensure the complete reconstruction of civilization from scratch in the event of a galactic extinction event.

XXX Spiritual Origins of the Mechanicus XXX

The birth of the Division is a matter of debate among various factions of scholars and citizens of the Kingdom, who attempt to pinpoint the exact moment when the vision of Amelia Blight and Bruce Bel Bahamut Belmont gave birth to the Mechanicus.

The Four Theories of the Founding Myth:

- The Romantics (The Meeting of Destiny): They focus on the meeting in a public library between a fifteen-year-old Bruce (unaware of being the heir Bahamut and the Messiah Hikarinus) and Amelia Blight. Amelia was then the Blight "black sheep," shy and neglected, capable only of handling her uncle's potions and machines, unaware that she was the daughter of the last Ysatnafian of pure ancient blood. Her fainting in Bruce's arms is seen as the union between the future King and the woman destined to become the mother of AI and Magitech.

- The Nerds (The Ludic Vision): They claim the idea was born at Owl House (Bruce's adoptive mother's house) during a sci-fi-themed board game. Bruce played a psionic space pirate, while Amelia played a scientist with drones and Power Armor. It was that game that pushed Amelia to design technological armor to compensate for her lack of magical ability, typical of modern Ysatnaf witches. Amelia's ancient Ysatnaf blood, in fact, makes it impossible for her to channel magic through contemporary techniques.

- The Artisans (The First Armor): They identify the beginning with the physical creation of Amelia's first Power Armor: a two-meter-tall steampunk prototype, powered by magical crystals and armed with a warhammer.

- The Computer Scientists (The Synthetic Genesis): They point to the creation of Shockwave, their first AI, created by Bruce (at 17) and Amelia (at 19) after weeks of isolation in the laboratory of a private tower as a key moment.

The Pioneers' Legacy: Whatever the historical truth, Bruce and Amelia were the most brilliant minds of their generation. They are responsible for all the technologies that led to the creation of the USKY. They are celebrated as the ones who discovered the "electricity" of their world, especially when it comes to space travel, having been the first people to ever set foot on the moon before the age of 25.

XXX Royal Origins of the Mechanicus XXX

The birth of the Mechanicus is not merely the fruit of scientific discoveries, but the result of a ruthless strategy of control and talent acquisition. This practice, begun by the First King, has been passed down to all the Princesses, daughters, and granddaughters of the Kingdom, who today actively recruit for their Guilds and Orders.

The Political-Financial Maneuver: Early in his career, Bruce Bel Bahamut Belmont acted with the precision of a "paranoid madman" to secure his birthright as Archduke of Bahamut. One of his most famous moves was a perfect blend of personal and professional interest:

- Hostile Takeover: Bruce purchased 51% of the shares of Blight Industrials, then led by Odalia Blight (Amelia's negligent aunt and Amity's domineering mother).

- Blackmail and Restructuring: Within months, Bruce had Odalia cornered by threatening to expose her arms trafficking. He kept 51% of the shares for himself and divided the remaining 49% between Odalia, Amity, and Amelia, appointing the latter as Head of the Science Department.

From Corporation to State:

- The Forge of Conquest: In the decades before the unification of Ysatnaf, Blight Industrials became the primary agency for the production of weapons and technologies needed for the projects of Archduke Bahamut, who would later become the First True King of Ysatnaf.

- Key Roles: Amity Blight assumed the role of CEO, Amelia remained in charge of research, and Bruce acted as a client and collaborator, leveraging the resources of the Archduchy of Bahamut. Odalia was demoted to a mere consultant (Bruce wanted to hang her immediately, but Amelia stopped him).

- Institutionalization: Once Ysatnaf was unified, Bruce separated the Science Department from Blight Industrials, formalizing it under the name Mechanicus.

Evolution and Partnership of Blight Industrials at BGI: The transition from planetary to interstellar dimensions has consolidated the inextricable bond between the Crown, scientific research and the war industry.

- Birth of Blight Galaxy Industrials (BGI): With the onset of space colonization, Blight Industrials transformed into BGI. This expansion was spearheaded by the First King, who placed blind faith in Amity Blight to mass-produce his weapons and the inventions born from Amelia's mind. Amity made a crucial contribution: almost as intelligent as her cousin, she was unusually skilled at taking Amelia and Bruce's hyper-advanced, unstable, or fragile prototypes and converting them into models suitable for mass production and safe use by those who were not geniuses of magic or science.

- Dynastic Succession: After 150 years at the helm, Amity has resigned. Since none of her children wanted to take over the family business, the reins of the corporation have passed to Amelia's eldest daughter: Beatrix B. Blight.

- The Heyday under Beatrix: The Second Princess led BGI to its historic pinnacle, a position the company maintains to this day. In addition to her managerial skills, Beatrix is the Mechanicus's most valuable partner thanks to her ability to manage the bureaucratic "gray area": she allows all official and "clean" business from the Science Division to pass through her corporation's channels, providing the necessary cover for the Mechanicus's operational discrepancies.

XXX The Princesses of USKY and the Mechanicus XXX

The birth of the Mechanicus is inextricably linked to the figure of Amelia Blight, First Archmage Intendans. Although she never aspired to the position, her superior intelligence and intimate bond with the First King made her the only trustworthy person suited to wield such power, eliminating the risk of betrayal monitored by Bruce's constant paranoia.

Their union, far beyond a simple professional bond, has produced five daughters. Known as the "Machine Princesses" or the "Blight Geniuses," each combines their father's strategic genius with their mother's scientific talents. Rumors suggest that Amelia is planning to conceive a sixth heir.

1) Beatrix Barbara Bahamut Belmont Blight (The Firstborn)

- Roles: Second Princess, Heir to the Throne, CEO of Blight Galaxy Industrials and Planetary Governor of the factory world Ferox.

- Specialties: Leading expert in robotics, AI engineering, cyberware development, and energy weapons systems. She controls the largest assembly line in the Kingdom.

2) Benilde Basma Bahamut Belmont Blight (The Second Born)

- Roles: Priestess, Beast Tamer, and Planetary Ruler of the sanctuary world Anthos.

- Specializations: Although oriented towards druidic magic and environmentalism, she possesses a superior chemical intellect. She excels in pharmacology, cloning, hybridization of flora and fauna, and the creation of advanced plant biotechnology (tree-cities, electric plants, and wood stronger than metal alloys).

3) Berenice Brunilde Bahamut Belmont Blight (The Third Born)

- Roles: Lord Commander of the Royal Sector of the Astra Militarum, Leader of the Silver Knights and the Steel Army, Planetary Governor of the fortress world Brunildgard.

- Specializations: Considered the least inclined to pure science, but endowed with outstanding social skills and military charisma. She is an exceptional strategist and warrior, as well as an elite pilot of Mecha and Power Armor. She possesses supreme expertise in metallurgy, defensive architecture, and modular or transformable melee weapons, making her world impregnable even without the barrier of the Four Pillars.

4) Brigitta Blanche Bahamut Belmont Blight (The Fourth Born - Older Twin)

- Roles: Planetary Governor of the Mercy heaven-world/hospital.

- Specialties: Supreme medical authority of the USKY, compared to the mythical Asclepius. He runs the planetary hospital and the largest military medical station in the Kingdom. He develops cutting-edge therapies through nanotechnology, intelligent vaccines, and immune genetics. He inherited his father's complex, paranoid personality: his most extreme and dangerous experiments are sealed and hurled into the sun for safety ("what can save, can also kill").

- Mercy's Economy: The planet thrives on medical tourism, spas, and gambling (with Las Vegas-style metropolises). It is also home to the most prestigious temples, colleges, and specialized medical academies.

5) Blair Blake Bahamut Belmont Blight (The Quintified Daughter - Younger Twin)

- Roles: Planetary Governor of the Shinkansen construction/commercial world.

- Specialties: A genius at logistics, administration, and multitasking. He designs vehicles of all scales and possesses a maternal talent for piloting, focusing on fighters and starships. He controls the largest shipyards in the Kingdom, producing civilian shuttles, cargo ships for the Spacing Guild, and vessels for Astra Navis.

- Personality: She has inherited her mother's temper, tempered by her father's ruthless streak. Obstruction of her is severely punished: saboteurs risk being sealed in packing crates and forcibly shipped to the border.

XXX The Two Current Leaders XXX

In 536 ARB, coinciding with the abdication of the First King (who had become a Rogue Trader Militant), the First Archmage Intendans, Amelia Blight, also resigned her official position. She currently serves as Lady High Scientist of Mechanicus within the Voidwalkers' personal fleet. The new supreme leaders of the Realm are:

- Blair Blake Bahamut Belmont Blight (Archmage Intendans): Amelia and Bruce's fifth child has risen to the top of the Mechanicus. She has inherited absolute control over the Kingdom's technological advancement, the Division's military, and the management of interstellar logistics.

- Adara Orfea Etheria Tsuruhime B. Kurata (Second King): Eldest child born from the union of Bruce and Yui Kurata. She holds the crown of USKY as the nation's highest political, legislative, and military authority.

Dynastic Continuity: This transition highlights the stability and oligarchic-family nature of the space superpower. Strategic control of the Kingdom has not suffered political fragmentation: the Machine Queen and the First King have transferred their domains intact to their respective daughters, locking USKY's absolute power within a narrow circle of bloodlines.

XXX Hierarchy of the Mechanicus XXX

The hierarchical structure of the Mechanicus is linear, rigid, and based exclusively on scientific and academic merit.

- Archmagos Intendant / Archmaga Intendans: The supreme authority of the entire organization. He has the final say on the initiation, continuation, or termination of any experiment or project. He answers exclusively to the King, as the Mechanicus is a direct extension of royal power.

- Lord/Lady Fabricator General of the Planet: The highest planetary position a citizen can aspire to. They lead the Mechanicus across an entire world, working closely with the Planetary Governor and the High Commander of the Defense's leaders to manage the Planetary Defense Command (PDC).

- Lord/Lady High Scientist of Mechanicus: The Fabricator General's direct lieutenants at the planetary level, charged with overseeing a specific Administrative Zone in conjunction with the Administrative Viceroy. They may be assigned to command scientific space stations, space fleets, or support divisions of the Astra Militarum.

- Lord Magos / Lady Magas of the City: Mid-level position awarded to professionals with multiple degrees and advanced specializations. They operate completely autonomously to ensure the technological well-being of a single city, often acting as advisors to the Mayor or as liaisons with local academies and the Mechanicus' logistics network.

- Tech-Operator: The standard rank for specialists who have passed the novitiate stage. They are recognized experts in the field and hold a variety of roles: assistants to the Lord Magos, combat or monitoring operatives, researchers, teachers in Specialized Academies, or custodians of minor facilities.

- Menials: The base of the hierarchical pyramid, composed of recent graduates and newcomers. The upper ranks use them exclusively for low-level executive duties, routine maintenance, standard repairs, and direct assistance to Tech-Operators.

XXX The Armed Forces of the Mechanicus XXX

The Mechanicus is a branch of the USKY Opera military, serving as a strategic ally of the Astra Militarum and the Astra Navis, and as an institutional rival to the Rainbow Coven and the Astra Telepathica. It was founded by the First King as a counterweight and internal security force, designed to defend the Crown in the unlikely event of treachery by the other armed forces.

The Division has seven specialized war corps:

1) The Collegia Titanica

- Recruitment: Elite pilots graduated from academies connected to the Mechanicus, most notably the Mechanatrix Academy (accessible by invitation only).

Military Mecha Classes:

- Urban Combat: Height tr 10 meters.

- Anti-structure Assault Vehicles: Armored vehicle forms, 15 to 20 meters high.

- Star-Mecha: Units specifically designed for deep space combat, between 30 and 60 meters high.

- Giant Mecha (120 meters): Rare units used to battle giant monsters, storm fortress cities, or breach orbital defenses. They are divided into two types:

Triangle Class: A single, monolithic piece, flown by a minimum of two pilots with the assistance of a military AI.

Pentagon Class: Five smaller, highly mobile mecha with specific abilities that combine to form a single, synchronized, guided robot.

- Titan Theories: There are unverified speculations about a secret class called "Titans," consisting of transformable or combinable starships several kilometers long.

2) Iron Knights

- Nature: Elite soldiers equipped with advanced Power Armor with a height varying from 3 meters.

- Specifications: Modules range from simple infantry support exoskeletons to heavy assault armor, capable of amplifying the host's physical parameters to superhuman levels.

3) Legio Cybernetica

- Composition: Synthetic core of the faction. Includes battle drones (Light, Intermediate, Heavy classes), sabotage drones, construction drones, arcane drones, tactical drones, super tactical drones, and Elite Magitek Androids.

- Control: Standard units utilize non-sentient algorithms controlled remotely or coordinated by military AIs. The only elements with true consciousness and sentience are the command androids.

4) Skitarii Legions

- Genesis: Born from a failed initial project to create elite clones.

- Structure: Vat-grown biological bodies, brain-dead and soulless. They are reanimated and augmented with intensive cyberware and bioware.

- Doctrine: Sacrificial shock troops guided by warfare algorithms and non-sentient AIs. Their operational autonomy is limited to a few years, they obey blindly, and they fight to the point of annihilation.

5) Alae Mechanicae

- Stealth Unit: Biological personnel subjected to genetic modifications and cybernetic implants for aerial infiltration invisible to radar.

- Frontline Units: Supported by androids for three-dimensional combat and heavy Power Armor for rapid transition from infiltration to direct combat.

6) Ghost Machine

- Specialization: Electronic and cyber warfare division composed of sentient AIs, Netrunners, and Technomancers. Their exclusive focus is the sabotage of enemy systems and cyberwarfare.

7) Battle Congregations Mechanicum

- Nature: Volunteer battalions composed of Tech-Operators and officers of various ranks specialized in war science.

- Purpose: They operate on the front out of patriotism, to test the effectiveness of weapons in real time and to accumulate the academic-military merits necessary for rapid promotions.

XXX Curiosities of the Mechanicus XXX

The Mechanicus has a highly defined internal cultural identity and code of ethics, which governs its aesthetics, doctrine, and treatment of its members.

Symbols and Doctrine:

- Visual Identity: The official distinctive color is red, while the heraldic symbol is the gear.

- The Greeting: "For the Crown and for Knowledge."

- The Battle Cry: "For Union and Progress!"

- The Great Goals: The organization pursues two supreme goals. The first is political-ideological: to unite all races under the banner of progress laid out by the First King and the First Archmage Intendans. The second is scientific: the pursuit of absolute knowledge, understood as the comprehensive understanding of every single aspect of the universe.

Code of Ethics and Absolute Prohibitions:

- Illicit Experimentation: Conducting experiments on minors, pregnant women, or individuals without informed consent is strictly prohibited.

- Treason: It is strictly forbidden to sell the Mechanicus' inventions to third parties, use the Division's information or data for personal gain, or kill another member of the organization, unless it is in proven self-defense or a fatal accident.

- Penalties: Anyone violating any of the above protocols is immediately banned from the Mechanicus. Banishment carries the death penalty and the complete confiscation of all personal property, intellectual property, and research.

Leave and Retirement Protocol: Exit from the organization varies dramatically based on the rank held by the applicant.

- Lower and Mid-Rank (Menials, Tech-Operators, Magos of the City): The process is straightforward. Technicians simply return materials, equipment, and devices owned by the Mechanicus, obtaining permission to leave freely.

- High Ranks (Senior Officials): To preserve state secrets, the Division applies a targeted memory wipe. The former member is then provided with a fictitious narrative and legal cover to justify their time in the covert ranks. The elite retirement package includes a registered home, a substantial sum of money, civilian skills certification, and a formal invitation to a job interview at Blight Galaxy Industrials.

Cult of the Fallen and Posthumous Honors: The Mechanicus has a rigorous funerary doctrine to honor its deceased members, combining financial support for families with respect for the personnel's last wishes.

The Standard Funeral Protocol:

- The Ceremony: The deceased's body is incinerated and the ashes collected in a vase (if specifically requested). Division colleagues and outside acquaintances gather for a formal funeral ceremony.

- Family Legacy: The deceased's relatives or designated persons are given the cinerary urn, a medal of honor, and the ceremonial red cape that belonged to the Division member.

- Posthumous Welfare: The family of the fallen receives a significant sum of money and permanent tax breaks.

- Historical Register: The name, service information and identification code of the deceased are permanently recorded in the Mechanicus' Fallen Archives.

Special Posthumous Honor Forms (Last Will): Each member, before death, can request personalized treatment for their remains or their conscience, ranging from traditional burials to bizarre magical practices:

- War Fusion: The ashes are integrated into the smelting process of metal alloys intended for the construction of elite mecha or advanced weaponry.

- Geographic Burial: Traditional physical burial in the home world or on a specific planet in the Realm.

- Donation to Science: The body is destined for scientific experimentation.

- Skitarii Preservation (Mechanical Undeath): The corpse is reanimated and transformed into a Skitarii or a more advanced form of soulless cyborg.

- Brain Integration (The Network): The brain is removed, placed in a containment pod, and interconnected directly to the Mechanicus' planetary supercomputer.

- Synthetic Genesis: The brain and neural patterns of the deceased are used as a biological blueprint for the programming and development of a new Sentient AI.

XXX The Library of the Mechanicus XXX

In an interstellar society where technology has reached unimaginable levels, data security represents the most critical vulnerability.

To prevent cyberattacks, computer infiltration, and data theft on a galactic scale, the USKY scientific faction has adopted a paradoxical countermeasure: a return to paper and ink.

All highly secure information is transcribed exclusively using advanced, purely mechanical typewriters with no electronic or digital components.

The Structure of Archives and Data Fragmentation:

- The Planetary Archives: Each world in the Realm has its own local archive, located within the High Tower of the Mechanicus or the Great Factory of the Mechanicus. However, these paper-based databases are deliberately fragmented, incomplete, superficial, and divided into isolated sectors, to prevent the fall of a single planet from compromising the Division's secrets.

- The Great Central Archives: The only complete and undiminished copy of all the knowledge gathered by the Mechanicus is located on the Great Fortress World of Bahamut (the second most protected planet in the entire Realm). The facility is a sprawling, armored underground library built deep within the Planetary Governor's Palace (also known as Bahamut Palace).

Security Doctrine: Decentralization forces a hypothetical invader to make a drastic strategic choice:

- Attack the 499 planets of USKY to plunder every single local Tower and Factory, attempting to reassemble the technological puzzle piece by piece.

- Attempt a direct assault on the Planet of Bahamut and conquer the Royal Palace to access the Underground Library.

According to military analysts and intelligence, the first option paradoxically offers a higher probability of success and survival than the second, given the absolute impregnability of the Bahamut world.

XXX The Crypt of the Worldbreakers XXX

The Underground Library isn't the Kingdom's only secret repository for critical assets. Deep within the USKY lies the Vault of the Worldbreakers, a hidden vault designed to contain the most destructive scientific and military knowledge ever conceived.

Contents and Threat: The Vault houses the advanced designs, theoretical research, and weapon prototypes developed by the First King, First Archmage Intendans, members of the Royal Family, and the nation's most brilliant minds. Every single file or prototype stored within constitutes an unstable, apocalyptic-spectrum superweapon, capable of causing immediate mass destruction or the total physical annihilation of an entire planet.

Security Systems and Extreme Paranoia:

- Mechanical Inaccessibility: The site has been sealed against any technological or magical countermeasures devised by the Crown. An integrated security system activates a complete self-destruction protocol for the vault in the event of forced entry or unauthorized access to the main entrance.

- Preventive Oblivion: In order to eliminate any possibility of information leaks or political blackmail, the First King and First Archmage Intendans have undergone a targeted memory wipe procedure, removing the exact location and coordinates of the Vault from their minds.

The Protocol of the Three Keys: The seals on the main door can only be unlocked by recovering three physical or logical keys. Their location is protected by three distinct clues, scattered throughout the Kingdom's power centers:

- The First Clue: Hidden within the physical crown of the King of USKY

- The Second Clue: Filed among the volumes and mechanical papers of the Mechanicus' underground library (beneath Bahamut Palace).

- The Third Clue: Kept inside the Moonlit Syndicate's central vault.

XXX Top Secret Projects XXX

The Mechanicus and the Royal Family may have had to secure their technological masterpieces, but that doesn't mean they haven't created dangerous and potentially destructive projects. The substantial difference lies solely in the parameters of stability, control, and advanced security.

For example, the Sunbreaker and Moonbreaker are 100-kilometer-long supercarriers, capable of pulverizing Earth's moon with a single hit and annihilating an entire Earth-like planet with two, at most three, or four well-placed impacts.

Here are some of the Mechanicus' top secret projects:

Project: AEGIS (Assault Exoskeleton Guerrilla Infiltration Specialists)

- Classification: New generation of advanced Power Armor intended for mass production for A-AAA rank soldiers.

- Founding Technology: Symbiotic fusion of Klyntar alien biology and advanced magitechnic nanotechnology, originally conceived by Amelia Blight and the First King Bruce.

- Engagement Mechanics: In its dormant state, it disguises itself as ornamental accessories (rings, necklaces, earrings, or bracelets). Upon activation, it manifests as an intelligent, living liquid metal shell that envelops the host, instantly hardening on impact to deflect attacks and structuring itself as a heavy exoskeleton for all-out warfare.

Integrated Warfare Features:

- Adaptive Symbiosis: Self-modeling alloy surface capable of shaping melee weapons, ballistic shields, or logistical tools coordinated by the user's neural commands.

- Digital Arsenal: Convert and store physical weaponry (including standard swords and assault rifles) in a digital storage space, ready to be instantly materialized in the field.

- Propulsion and Protection: Autonomous flight modules interconnected with perimeter energy barrier shield generators.

- Sensory and Physical Enhancement: Exponential increase in the host's biological parameters and reflexes, ensuring, among other functions, a global and continuous 360-degree visual perception.

- Reactive Evolution: Permanent capacity for self-repair, optimization of internal systems, and autonomous genetic or structural mutation, aimed at countering specific threats in real time.

Project: VALKRYA (Victory Angel Lightspeed Klass Requiem Ysatnaf Authority)

- Classification: The most advanced and complex biomechanical lifeforms ever created in the USKY

- Production Scale: There are only thirteen of them in the entire Kingdom, due to the extreme rarity of the materials needed to cultivate them.

- Founding Technology: Their core is forged from a meteorite recovered from the fringes of unknown space, almost outside the confines of the Azure Galaxy. Their biological and cybernetic architecture is based on data from subjects Kal'tsit and Mon3tr.

Energy Manipulation and Reactivity:

- Total Absorption: Ability to absorb and channel enormous quantities of heterogeneous energy flows.

- Emission: Autonomous generation of destructive optical beams, ultra-high temperature thermal cutting blades, defensive barrier shields and short-range teleportation modules.

Physical and Sensory Parameters:

- Titanic Brute Strength: Strength, speed, and endurance parameters far superior to any known biological organism. They can deflect heavy artillery fire and rip through the armored hulls of starships with their bare hands.

- Sensory Suite: Integrated telescopic, microscopic, infrared vision systems and predictive ballistic targeting algorithms at the millimeter level.

Flight and Transit Capability:

- Atmospheric Phase: Flight limited to transonic speeds to preserve the local ecosystem.

- Space Phase: Once the atmosphere is clear and a safe distance is reached, the limiters are removed, allowing translight velocity to be reached for autonomous interstellar travel.

Structural Adaptation and Mission Mode:

- Instant Materialization: Using their self-repair systems, they can condense absorbed energy to materialize physical weapons and complex weapons systems directly from their bodies.

- Mutable Tactical Assets: They have complete structural configurations depending on the scenario (Attack Mode, Camouflage Mode, War Flight Mode).

Advanced Scanning and Replication (Supercomputer Mind):

- Technological and Genetic Copying: Scanners catalog and copy exotic energy sources (such as Gene X or ionic energies) and analyze entire civilizations to integrate their scientific advances.

- War Learning: The mind processes data in real time, imitating and replicating any attack it receives, including magical spells, to generate countermeasures or new, customized attack techniques.

- Regeneration Protocol: Since they are semi-immortal entities, their physical destruction is not permanent. Depending on the severity and method of annihilation, their core rebuilds the body over a variable period of time (days, weeks, months, or years).

- Last Stand Protocol (Mobile Fortress): Their ultimate emergency technique simultaneously unlocks their entire arsenal and all latent abilities. This process temporarily transforms the unit into an armored mobile fortress, capable of containing and repelling far more powerful opponents for a limited duration.

Project: EINHERJAR . (Exo-suit Intelligent Neural-link Hard Energy Regenerant Judgment Assault Rider)

- Classification: Advanced techno-organic assault exoskeletons, designed exclusively for elite soldiers rated Rank-S to Rank-SSS.

- Production Scale: Only 39 exist in the entire Kingdom. Production is limited to a ratio of three support units for each of the 13 operating VALKRYA entities.

Founding Technology and Neural Connection:

- Organic Symbiosis: The techno-organic structure is designed to generate a permanent biological and synaptic bond with the host's nervous system.

- Integrated Adaptive AI: Each suit hosts a dedicated artificial intelligence, capable of processing ballistic algorithms and developing tactical countermeasures in real time during combat.

- Advanced Cyber-Warfare: It has a suite of sensors capable of breaching, mapping and hacking into alien cyber infrastructure and technologies with extremely high encryption coefficients.

Physical Parameters and Extreme Survival:

- Destructive Power: Amplifies the user's biological parameters, allowing them to block heavy loads (such as industrial trucks) with a single limb and directly engage enemy threats at "city-destroying" level.

- Ballistic Inviolability: The chassis protects the host from heavy fire saturations and ensures intact survival of ballistic atmospheric reentry with free fall from planetary orbit.

Interstellar Mobility:

- Hybrid Propulsion: The flight system relies on a combination of structured energy wings and jet propulsion modules, providing the agility needed to evade laser weapons systems.

- Space Phase: Supports autonomous movement in the cosmic vacuum at speeds greater than the speed of light (FTL).

Variable Arsenal and Advanced Physics:

- Molecular Reshaping: Its main feature lies in the ability to alter its solid configuration to generate a heterogeneous arsenal composed of thermal cutting blades, plasma cannons and cryogenic weapons.

- Interdiction Systems: Generation of targeted neural disruptors and localized magnetic field projectors.

- Apocalyptic Weapons: Integration of portable hadron accelerators and attack modules based on the manipulation of electromagnetic energy and the strong nuclear force.

Classified Projects: Ultra-Secret Level / Concept Phase

Operational Status: The technical details and intended purpose of these assets remain unknown within the standard archives. Two theories exist within the Mechanicus: the first posits that they are megaprojects still stuck in the theoretical design phase, the second that they are already operational weapons, covered by a level of information compartmentalization exceeding even the normal Top Secret standard.
