" ... and they lived happily ever after," Gloria softly narrated the ending of the story she was reading to Raine and smiled dotingly as she looked at the little girl who was sleeping soundly in her arms.
"How could you sleep before the story ended?" she asked as she tapped the little girl's nose playfully and watched with amusement as she scrunched her nose, shifting her sleeping position.
She sighed helplessly when she thought about who was clamoring earlier for a story and yet slept before it was even finished.
Anyway, seeing her sleeping soundly, she was proud as a new mother. She had always wanted to do this, but without a child of her own, how could she have done it?
Anyway, now that Raine had fallen asleep, she gently lay her on the bed before tucking her in.
The two of them were sharing a room while Charles was on his own.
With Raine sleeping, Gloria settled on her side of the bed and picked up her tablet to check if Faith had posted anything, or she decided against it.
