Han's POV
The moment Tyler stood up and walked out, Wayne rose too. I wanted to follow-my instincts screamed at me to but Elvin gripped my wrist, pulling me back down. I couldn't just stand up in front of my investors. Not now. But my mind was spinning.
What if Wayne is going after him again? What if he—
No. No. Tyler's not the same anymore. He's not weak. He can handle himself now. I forced myself to breathe, to focus.
The investors were still talking, nodding among themselves, seemingly satisfied. I swallowed my panic and signed the deal 30 chip distributions to China, 20 to the UK. Done. In less than five minutes, Wayne returned, looking visibly frustrated. He dropped into his seat without a word, but his eyes locked onto Elvin with a sharp, venomous glare.
Elvin caught the look and leaned toward me.
"Is this the horrible ex you told me about?" he asked. "He seems so..."
"Yes," I cut him off. "He's the one. Wayne, stay away from him. Don't even try."
