Although Shiba Isshin appeared outwardly composed, Kisuke Urahara still sensed a hint of sadness in his eyes. After all, he had abandoned his future as a Shinigami.

"Tōshirō, when you become captain, you won't treat your subordinates like Captain Shiba, will you?" Rangiku Matsumoto said with a smile.
Rangiku Matsumoto always teased the prodigious young vice-captain, finding immense satisfaction in disrupting his calm composure.
Knowing Rangiku Matsumoto was teasing him, Tōshirō Hitsugaya's temples throbbed slightly.
Subtly shifting his position to lessen the pressure, Tōshirō Hitsugaya slowly opened his eyes. "With my current experience, becoming captain is highly unlikely. And please, call me Vice-Captain Hitsugaya."
Rangiku Matsumoto smirked. "Tōshirō, no need to hide it. I saw you practicing Bankai in the middle of the night."
Tōshirō Hitsugaya glanced at Rangiku Matsumoto. "That sneaky spiritual pressure was you? Why were you following me in the middle of the night?"
Rangiku Matsumoto chuckled nervously. "It was merely a coincidence."
At that moment, a Shinigami from the First Division arrived at the Tenth Division barracks, interrupting their conversation.
"Vice-Captain Hitsugaya, Third Seat Matsumoto, the Captain-Commander orders your immediate presence in the Captain's meeting hall. All the captains are awaiting you."
The messenger Shinigami's words surprised Tōshirō Hitsugaya and Rangiku Matsumoto. They wondered why the Captain-Commander summoned them, especially with all the other captains present.
Exchanging a look, they followed the messenger to the Captain's meeting hall.
Seeing all the captains except their own, Shiba Isshin, present, Tōshirō Hitsugaya and Rangiku Matsumoto realized something significant had occurred.
Upon seeing Tōshirō Hitsugaya and Rangiku Matsumoto, Captain-Commander Yamamoto Genryūsai said slowly, "Vice-Captain Hitsugaya, Third Seat Matsumoto, do you know Captain Shiba's whereabouts?"
Tōshirō Hitsugaya stepped forward respectfully. "Two days ago, Captain Shiba left a note, stating he was patrolling Karakura Town in the Human World, and we haven't heard from him since. We attempted to contact him, but without success."
Yamamoto Genryūsai said slowly, "An hour ago, the Technical Development Bureau reported that Captain Shiba's spiritual pressure is undetectable. His spiritual pressure vanished in Karakura Town."
Tōshirō Hitsugaya frowned. "I'm unsure what transpired. However, in my opinion, Captain Shiba must have encountered some unforeseen event; otherwise, his disappearance is inexplicable."
Captain-Commander Yamamoto Genryūsai nodded, then addressed the assembled captains gravely. "Tenth Division Captain Shiba Isshin is missing. The Tenth Division's responsibilities, including locating Kisuke Urahara, are crucial. What are your suggestions?"
