Hollow corruption leaves Quincies virtually no chance of survival, unlike Shinigami or humans who can Hollowfy.
Ryūken Ishida's mother emerged, seeing the Hollow hole. She coldly stated, "Masaki is beyond saving. According to Quincy principles, you must kill her."
Ryūken Ishida, initially confused, shook his head. "No, I have to save Masaki."
Ignoring his mother, he carried Masaki Kurosaki out of the villa, seeking help from his reclusive father, Sōken Ishida.
Masaki Kurosaki's corrupted body leaked spiritual energy, attracting powerful Hollows.
Ryūken Ishida, burdened with carrying Masaki Kurosaki, was unable to fight effectively and was quickly overwhelmed.
However, Shiba Isshin, following Masaki Kurosaki's spiritual pressure, arrived just in time, swiftly eliminating the Hollows and saving them.

They turned to see a bearded man in a hat and geta sandals standing behind them.
"A human?"
Sensing no spiritual pressure, Ryūken Ishida was puzzled.
Shiba Isshin, however, was shocked. "Kisuke Urahara! It's you!"
Ryūken Ishida, seeing Shiba Isshin's astonishment and his captain's haori, realized the man was no ordinary individual.
"You know him?" Ryūken Ishida asked.
Shiba Isshin nodded grimly. "He's the former captain of the Twelfth Division, the founder of the Technical Development Bureau—Kisuke Urahara!"
