Chapter 401 - Chapter 400: What If I Can?

"Mm, thank you very much, Mr. Ryuji."

Ryuji let out a quiet sigh. Although his conditions were harsh, Tifa at least still had a way to return home, but he himself couldn't find his way home.

Every time he helped someone return, he couldn't help but think about this and then fall into melancholy.

There was no helping it. He wasn't the kind of transmigrator who had no hope of returning home.

"No need to thank me. After all, we're both wanderers in the same boat."

These words came from the heart. At that moment, Mai, now wearing a serious and composed expression, quickly brought over tea and snacks.

But Chun-Li couldn't help but look at Ryuji again.

"So what exactly was the point of bringing me here? Are the things you said really true?"

Suppressing the urge to punch this riddling man, Chun-Li asked again.

"Everything I've said is true. The reason I'm telling you is simply because, in my perception, Miss Chun-Li is someone trustworthy."

Ryuji didn't care in the slightest if Chun-Li spread this matter around. Frankly speaking, she didn't believe him even when he said it himself; so what difference would it make if she told others?

As for identity issues, there were plenty of people in this world without proper identities. Hanzo Shiranui is a ninja, after all; having him help fabricate one later wouldn't be difficult.

And as for why he said all this in front of Chun-Li, an outsider?

Of course it was because he wanted to turn Chun-Li into an insider.

If this world didn't have Chun-Li, that would be one thing. But since it had both Chun-Li and Mai, a man like him would inevitably think about having a threesome with both of them.

Not to mention there was also Tifa.

Although Tifa didn't quite look exactly like she did in the game yet, he could help her develop.

That was precisely why he hadn't stated the necessary conditions for sending her back outright.

After all, Tifa at this point hadn't truly gotten together with Cloud yet, this was exactly his chance to make a move.

"As for whether you believe me or not, that's your own decision, Miss Chun-Li. I can only say that I have no ill intent towards Miss Tifa."

Ryuji spoke sincerely.

While it was true that he coveted Tifa and intended to pursue her, if she had truly liked Cloud since childhood and they were already in a relationship, Ryuji would simply send her back without doing anything extra.

At worst, he could just go after Yuffie or Aerith instead.

"You…"

Chun-Li really wanted to hit someone.

"But what I can tell you is that the monsters appearing from those meteors might include some with extremely strong infectious capabilities. And the people arriving with the meteors aren't necessarily good or evil either. There are kind girls like Miss Tifa but there are also dragons and monsters that parasitize and hunt humans."

Ryuji felt that he himself had been quite lucky, as most of the teammates he'd encountered were fairly reliable. But the appearance of the Alien Queen was proof that the 7 Days to Die world will was actually randomly recruiting people.

Chun-Li frowned. She felt an even stronger urge to arrest Ryuji on the spot.

But looking at Mai, Hanzo and Ryuji, she took a deep breath.

"So, everything you've said is true?"

"I've already said it, believe it or not is up to you. As for who I really am, I am the successor of Shiranui-ryu martial arts and someone who will make the name of Shiranui-ryu famous in the coming months."

Ryuji smiled.

"..."

Chun-Li felt a headache coming on. She didn't know whether she should report this or not. Without Tifa as a witness, there was nothing she could do and the monsters she had personally killed had all mysteriously turned into ash and disappeared.

She had nothing except her own testimony. If she reported it, her superiors would probably think she was joking or that something was wrong with her head.

If Tifa were involved, she might be able to convince people, but…

Glancing at the slightly uneasy Tifa, Chun-Li sighed.

After interacting with Tifa, she could tell that Tifa was a good kid. If possible, she didn't want Tifa to fall under official supervision either, she knew all too well how Interpol operated.

But what about Earth's safety?

The more Chun-Li thought about it, the more irritated she became and she blurted out without thinking:

"Don't tell me I'm also supposed to believe this bullshit about you being able to resurrect the dead?!"

Ryuji raised an eyebrow.

"And what if I can?"

Chun-Li was hot-tempered to begin with and after glancing at Tifa, she was even more unwilling to let this girl fall into the hands of a riddle-spouting man like Ryuji, who clearly had ulterior motives.

"Hmph. If you really can resurrect people, then I'll drink your bathwater!"

She slammed a hand on the table.

But Ryuji shook his head.

"That's not enough."

Chun-Li became even more convinced that Ryuji was a fraud.

"Then how about this, I'll be your wife. A beauty like me shouldn't be a bad deal for you, right?"

As soon as those words were spoken, both Mai and Hanzo raised their eyebrows. Ryuji, however, shook his head again.

"No need. If I really can resurrect people, how about you promise to do three things for me?"

Ryuji's calm demeanor made Chun-Li pause. After thinking for a moment, she straightened up, crossed her arms over her chest, and sneered at him.

"Fine, I agree. But so what if I agree? Can you really… really… really…"

As she spoke, Chun-Li's mouth fell open in shock.

Because Ryuji snapped his fingers.

In the instant after the snap, a golden mist appeared beside her and the man from her memories, her father, appeared right before her eyes.

"You have one hour to talk."

Ryuji smiled as he calmly lifted his cup.

"Officer Chun-Li, who just agreed to do three things for me."
