First and foremost, I want to express my deepest gratitude to all the readers who have followed this story up to now. To be honest, I never expected so many people to stick with my work, pushing me forward through four rounds of new-book recommendations.
This book didn't have an explosive start. In the first three days after entering the new-book library, it was only gaining 20 to 30 daily collections—far below the threshold for even a trial recommendation. At that time, I seriously considered just posting the rest of my drafts and abandoning the story.
Fortunately, collections started picking up, and more and more people began reading. I've read every short review, chapter comment, and feedback post you've shared, and I'm especially grateful to those who helped me spot and correct errors.
On the Debate in the Comments and My Perspective on the Pokémon World
To me, the Pokémon world is an idealized utopia, a place where people can truly feel relaxed and happy. Ever since I first watched the Pokémon anime as a seven- or eight-year-old, I've lost count of how many times I imagined what I would do if I could step into that world.
At the same time, I'm an avid reader who has been consuming books for many years.
As a kid, my dream was to capture rare Pokémon, tame legendary Pokémon, become a Champion, and stand at the top of the world.
As an adult, while I still have that competitive spirit, my biggest desire is simply to encounter Pokémon with different personalities and appearances, form bonds, experience stories, and embark on a journey that is both ordinary and extraordinary.
So, I took the first step—picked up my phone and keyboard, and typed the very first word of this book.
From the start, and even now, the absolute protagonists of this story are the Pokémon themselves—their personalities, their growth, and the unique interactions between different Pokémon that give rise to new stories.
I chose a farm life / slice-of-life theme because it deviates from the traditional Trainer-focused narrative, where every Pokémon capture must be carefully considered.
Farming stories, on the other hand, allow for detailed daily interactions between Pokémon while also making it possible to capture a greater variety of Pokémon, without being limited to just a few. For example, the three Eldegoss and 3 Poliwag and 1 Poliwhirl on the farm are great examples of this approach.
Starting with a Champion-level protagonist was definitely a challenge, especially with the added limitation on "cheat abilities"—which is how the concept of the "weakest Champion" and the near-invisible "special system " came into existence.
What's Next?
The core focus of this story will always be farming, with occasional trips to other regions for side plots, alongside the third narrative thread—how Kai's role as a teacher influences the events of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
Kai's strength will improve, the farm will expand, and the futures of Naranja Academy's students will change. Even some regrets from the main storyline will find resolution.
I am fully aware that the Pokémon world isn't a flawless utopia—light and shadow coexist, and for every good person, there will be bad ones. However, in this story, there will never be dark, tragic, or excessively cruel content.
(P.S.: While Pokémon do exist within a food chain, this story won't delve into that aspect, nor will it feature anything like Pokémon being eaten alive. At most, there will be mentions of naturally shed, painless Crabrawler claws, Slowpoke tails (which lack nerves), or the premium leeks carefully cultivated by Farfetch'd. That's also why I've included regular edible animals in this world's setting.)
After all, just being able to live in this world is already a wonderful thing. Most people read novels to relax—if the story gets too dark, even I would feel uncomfortable writing it.
On the Debate About Single/Multiple/No Love Interest
Honestly, I have no idea how or where I might have unintentionally hinted at something that made people think this story had harem potential. I've talked so much about my approach already—by now, you all should know that my sole focus is writing about Pokémon. Everything else takes a backseat.
So, to be clear: the probability of a harem in this story is exactly zero.
As for whether there will be a female lead—well, to be honest, I've been single since birth, so I can't even say for sure whether I can write romance well. The timeline of this story is definitely going to span several years—three, four, five years at minimum—as the plot progresses.
Maybe, if I introduce a suitable character later on, there could be a brief mention of a romantic interest near the end. But more likely, the focus will remain on Pokémon and the stories that unfold with characters from the original games.
One thing's for sure: I'm not going to force in a love interest that disrupts the overall tone of the story just to get roasted for it.
I've rambled on so much that this is practically a whole chapter on its own. If you've read this far, thanks for indulging my monologue.
