Guys, I made a mistake. The 2 Whimsicott are actually Eldegoss
---
The Mudbray leisurely chewing on grass remained oblivious to everything around it, only moving a few steps when Kai spoke to show some acknowledgment.
After finishing Mudbray's introduction, Kai turned to Swampert. "Swampert, stick around after we wrap up. We need to find a suitable spot to create a mud patch for Mudbray to live in."
"Swamp."
Swampert nodded in agreement.
As a fellow Ground-type Pokémon, Swampert had a favorable impression of Mudbray. It was just a minor effort on its part, nothing worth fussing over.
With the three new members properly introduced, Kai was about to look for Milcery when the tiny Pokémon floated over on its own, settling lazily into the palm of his hand.
Even in a completely new environment, Milcery remained as lively as ever, its eyes brimming with curiosity as it took in the other Pokémon.
The moment Milcery appeared, the Pokémon's noses instinctively twitched, catching a faint, sweet fragrance lingering in the air.
Dragonite, in particular—already fond of sweet things—practically floated over to Kai's side, pressing its entire face close to Milcery. From the perspective of the other Pokémon, it looked as though Dragonite was about to swallow Milcery whole.
Milcery, however, showed no fear in the face of the large dragon looming over it. Instead, it let out a gleeful giggle, as if assuming Dragonite was trying to play with it.
Kai sighed, freeing up a hand to push away Dragonite, whose mouth had started to glisten with suspiciously clear drool. "This is Milcery. Don't be fooled by its small and adorable size. Once it evolves, it'll be able to produce rich, sweet cream that we can use to make delicious desserts."
At the mention of desserts, Dragonite's eyes practically sparkled, and even the previously aloof Serperior showed a flicker of interest.
Even Kai couldn't help but imagine the enticing sweetness of Milcery's future creations... they had to be absolutely delicious, right?
Serperior suddenly reconsidered its stance on the newcomers. Maybe having a few extra Pokémon around wasn't so bad after all. It wasn't as if they could threaten its position in any way—not to mention, none of them had the confidence to slither into Kai's bed at night like it did.

This little gathering was mainly to help the four new Pokémon get acquainted with Luxray and the others, preventing any misunderstandings that might result in them being mistaken for wild Pokémon trespassing on the farm and getting chased out.
Fidough and Milcery, having grown up in the controlled environment of the Elias Ranch, had no real survival skills for the wild. If left to fend for themselves, they could easily run into trouble.
Once the meeting ended, Kai took a leisurely stroll across the ranch with Swampert and Mudbray.
By now, the pasture area was flourishing with thick, healthy grass, fully prepared to welcome more Pokémon—or even ordinary livestock—into its care.
Given Mudbray's natural habits, while its primary food source remained grass, a patch of mud was still an essential part of its environment.
Mudbray needed mud to roll in and play with to relax and relieve stress. Since Kai had recently been studying Pokémon psychology, creating a proper mud patch for Mudbray had become a top priority.
Because Kai had personally selected Mudbray for the farm, it was naturally one of the more affectionate ones toward him. Communicating with it wasn't too difficult.
Kai allowed Mudbray to pick its own ideal spot for a mud patch. This simple act alone was enough to excite the normally quiet and docile Pokémon.
With an eager trot, Mudbray quickly found a suitable location—right at the boundary between the pasture and the lake area.
It lowered its head, using its snout to dig through the grass before biting into the soil. After chewing for a moment, it spat out a lump of soft dirt that had turned into a clump of mud.
This wasn't a Mud-Slap attack—just a natural way Mudbray processed the earth.
And really, mud was nothing more than soil mixed with water.
With that in mind, the next step was simple.
Kai took a few steps back with Mudbray, then turned toward Swampert.
Swampert, understanding the plan, nodded and took a moment to gather energy. After ensuring it had lowered the power of its move as much as possible, it unleashed a steady surge of murky water, stirring the ground.
In the blink of an eye, a small but perfect mud patch had formed.
Seeing the newly created mud patch, Mudbray nuzzled against Kai's leg in gratitude before dashing off joyfully to roll around in the mud.
From now on, this would be Mudbray's home.
And Kai was certain that more Pokémon would soon join them here.
—
Leaving Mudbray in Swampert's care for the time being, Kai wasted no time heading back home.
Aside from Mudbray, he still had to arrange living spaces for the other three Pokémon.
Upon opening the door, he immediately spotted the Pokémon that had returned ahead of him. As his gaze swept across the room, he quickly locked onto Milcery, which was tagging along behind the three Eldegoss like a tiny shadow.
The Eldegoss had just come back from the storage area. Since their cotton-like fluff naturally shed over time if not used, they had developed a habit of visiting the storage room at regular intervals to discard excess fluff.
Feeling a bit tired after their trip, the three Eldegoss floated up to the third-floor balcony, where three flower pots of just the right size were waiting for them. On sunny days, they usually took root there to rest, and at night, Kai would carry the pots back indoors.
Following their usual routine, the three Eldegoss hopped into the pots one by one, settling in comfortably—leaving a very distressed-looking Milcery standing alone outside.
"Mi..."
With only three pots available, Milcery was left without a spot, and it looked extremely uneasy.
The Eldegoss, noticing Milcery's distress, hesitated for a moment. Remembering Kai's request to take care of the little one, the lead Eldegoss hopped back out, offering its place to Milcery.
Milcery hesitated but, encouraged by the Eldegoss's gentle chirps, cautiously hopped into the pot.
As soon as it felt the soil beneath it, Milcery visibly relaxed, its eyes closing in comfort.
A few moments later, it opened them again, looking toward the Eldegoss with a guilty expression.
It had taken the Eldegoss's pot... what was the Eldegoss supposed to do now?
"Elde~"
The Eldegoss, already experienced in caring for younger Pokémon, simply smiled and reassured Milcery.
It wasn't worried at all—Kai would surely get another pot soon.
Watching the interaction unfold, Kai couldn't help but smile. With the Eldegoss looking after it, Milcery would undoubtedly fit into the farm in no time.
Turning away, he made his way downstairs, planning to check the storage area. If he remembered correctly, he had purchased a few extra flower pots back then just in case.
As he passed through the living room, his eyes suddenly landed on an unusual sight.
A rather well-fed Moltres—no surprises there—but what caught his attention was the Pokémon following Growlithe around like a loyal shadow.
Fidough?
Kai distinctly recalled entrusting Fidough to the reliable Luxray for supervision.
So why was it now tailing Growlithe everywhere instead?
Kai clearly remembered entrusting Fidough to the ever-reliable Luxray.
So why was it now following Growlithe around like a little shadow?
